I know people are looking forward to me playing other Persona games but I will be taking a break from Persona to play other games. I already planned on playing other games as well as the rest of the Persona series~ It'll come along eventually. Thank you for enjoying my first ever Persona game journey
If you play other Persona series, then I will recommend you to play those Persona 5 (Royal Version) Persona 4 (Golden version) Each of them got their own main theme, just like Persona 3, it's 'Death', the other I will leave you to interpret it when you get to play it, only thing I can say the story is very engaging and characteristics is gem, while P3 remained as my favourite
@@shawnestherfroste3336 The Answer happend, a Epilogue Added in P3 Fes Happend. The Answer now being worked on as a DLC for Reload. Atlus is gonna have ALOT of fixing to do, Considering How Bad The Answer was in FES....
People always associate persona 3 with "memento mori" (remember that you will die) but people forget the full phrase memento mori, "memento vivere" (remember to live) which our MC did he really found the answer to life
It's not people, it's the game. The original had both phrases but first and most prominently in the opening " Memento Mori " was shown in big bold text.
That’s what the theme of persona 3 is, the moment you know you can and will die, and you can accept that fact. Is the moment you can live your life to the absolute fullest.
SOME THINGS: The Velvet Room's form is always symbolic - In P5 it's a prison for example. Here it's an elevator, something that moves constantly towards a fixed destination. Not only does it tie into Tartarus's tower design, it also symbolizes how all life will end in death. The spell "Great Seal" costs 100% of the protagonists max HP to cast. The MC was supposed to die on Jan 31st, but he held on for more than a month because he wanted to keep his promise to meet on the roof during graduation (that's also why he died then and there). He also knew that he was essentially on borrowed time, that's why he goes around the city speaking to all his friends, so he can say goodbye to them.
"The MC was supposed to die on Jan 31st, but he held on for more than a month because he wanted to keep his promise to meet on the roof during graduation (that's also why he died then and there)." In a few comments I've mentioned that on other videos, I've been getting laughed at, because a single dialogue in The Answer states they brought him home and then he died during the night. It's been bugging me because thematically dying on the roof, literally as the game fades to the credits is so poignant and I'm sure that was the intention in the original game. I hope the P3R version of The Answer better explains the ending without robbing him of the meaning of surviving beyond when he should have died.
@@ApexGale I completely agree. It reminds me of those cases where someone dies from grief, or their will to live is gone after fighting against a live destroying disease for years. Makoto's will to live was depleted and given he should have died a month ago, is really impressive! It just irks me when people ignore the poetic fact that he endured for so long to keep his promise, just because The Answer says he died that night. Hell, I even question why Mitsuru would take him back to the dorm instead of to the hospital. Having to carry him while being completely unresponsive all the way to the dorm provided more than enough time to consider he wasn't just simply tired.
I didn't have much issue watching Kaminari come to terms with his limited mortality. Hearing his mother grieve was 1000x harder in 1/10th the time frame.
Fun fact: In Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden, a "storybook about a pink alligator" is mentioned on two occasions. So even after Akinari's passing, his story was published and he left a legacy behind. Extremely fitting for the theme of his social link.
Makoto is without a doubt the best persona protagonist. He defeated death itself sacrificing his soul in the process and lived for 2 months through sheer determination to fulfill his promise.
He did not defeat death. Merely sealed. Which makes sense, because death as a concept is unbeatable. Death eventually will come for all. In game, and in real life.
While it is sad, Makoto still had a happy ending where he knew he had protected his friends and the world at the cost sacrificing himself, that's why he died with a smile on his face.
Well in the answer they explain that he was actually just asleep while on the roof and Aigis carried him back to the dorm where he passed away in his room during the night
@@KatelynTeaThey took him to the hospital where the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. Going by what they said "At least we all got to say our goodbyes" He may have still been alive for a brief moment
And the ending song キミの記憶 (Memories of You) is Aigis singing to MC. Once I learned enough Japanese to understand this song the ending really hit even harder. Like one line 無くしても取り戻す、キミを I will never leave you nakushtemo, torimodosu, kimi wo I will never leave you Even if I lose you I'll get you back, I will never leave you
I'm guessing the unknown sender is probably Ryoji. Makoto looked at the music box Ryoji gave him right before he got the text. And if you go up to the music room before that, he mentions how he remembers a melody being played there once and how it's going to be with him forever. But that aside, this was an amazing game. And an amazing remake. Love the Persona series so much
I thought it was Tanaka, since every social link got to, in a way, thank or talk to MC, and sending a Thank You from an unknown number seems like something he'd do
While every other SL had light blue UI (and SEES members had their personal color), Ryoji is the only one whose messages had a black UI. So it's not just implied, it IS Ryoji.
Persona 3 is one of the best JRPGs and ultimately one of the best stories ever told in my opinion. The ending with Aigis was so beautifully done, and in Reload is was just as perfect. In the end the MC (Makoto Yuki) gave his life for his friends and the world. And he died with a smilw, knowing everything would be okay... And with Aigis at his side, loving and caring for him. He wasn't scared because Aigis was there "protecting" him. He was at peace 😔🙏
Eventhough P5 has all the budget, flashy animation and is arguably the most popular of the franchise, P3 will always have a special place in people's hearts ❤ The shock of losing a friend, the profound theme and this unforgettable bittersweet ending is simply on a league of its own. Theres a reason why almost 20yrs later fans still holds P3 in such high regard.
100% Persona 4 was my entry into the series back in 2008, and I feel like with a series like this there's always something "special" about your first one. While I hold it in high regard, my favorite has got to be P3. It is, as you said, not the most technical, or flashiest, or popular, but it, in my opinion, has the most heart. It deals with themes that are core to our existence as people on this planet, and it does so well.
@@JJMomoida P4 was what brought the franchise outside of Japan, and P5 is what made it mainstream and popular. I'm just glad all the new fans are now able to experience the masterpiece that is P3. (Only downside with going backwards is that most lets players are NOT ready for how much darker and emotional p3 is 🥲)
It's so good and I wish I'd never experienced it. I've never felt this sad from a video game ending before. And it sits with you. (I don't really wish I hadn't experienced it, but damn it hurst lol)
I had always been obsessed with P3 despite never playing it. I tried a few times but couldn’t get into it, having only played P5 at the time. Everything that I’d heard about it sounded so interesting, but I couldn’t get past stuff like the uncontrollable party members, and I didn’t want to play Portable because I’d learned how much I cared about the 3d navigable overworld through P5. I always wanted a remake of P3 but didn’t think it’d actually happen. So Reload coming out was a huge deal for me, I bought it day one and played it to death, it’s my favorite persona game now, and I say that as someone that’s played 4G as well now. And I’m definitely going to give Portable a shot now that I know the characters and world better. Now I just gotta play the earlier ones, and I’ve been wanting to check out SMT too.
The fact that the akinari’s mother section thingy was what made me cry way harder than any death in this game just proofed how powerful a social link can be if done correctly. This is why me and like everyone in the peraona community consider this the best or one of the best social links of all time
Im so glad you ended up realizing the truth about the ending in the credits. I've seen people finish p3 and not realize what happened at the end. Once again i already said it but thanks for the ride! Loved your reactions and loved the journey!
I like the idea that MC was struggling keeping up his last ounce of strength to fulfill his promise but still manages to slip in a teasing comment towards his homeroom teacher 😂 The remake's addition of MC's bonding moments with SEES members outside the SL events and main plot cutscenes made that ending SO MUCH MORE PAINFUL 😭😭💔 will be looking forward to watching your P4 and P5 vids one day 🥲💗
I'm a persona 5 music supersimp, but I have to admit that moment in the Nyx fight when the Velvet Room vocals hit is by far the best part in any battle ever
That moment is why I always say persona 3 feels like the finale of the series even though it's in the middle. The final boss theme is THE persona theme.
@@bananabunch4590and you get Universe arcana, an arcana no other MC has gotten and stated by Igor to be so rare he never thought he'd be able to see it in person as if it was the ultimate arcana for a persona user to have
What makes Nyx such a memorable final boss isn’t just because of how badass the fight against them is, it’s that as far as main antagonists go, he isn’t carrying out the world’s death for any malicious intent, but because it’s Nyx’s duty to carry it out. Don’t forget, Nyx said near the end of the fight that “I didn’t want you to suffer”, and that they are only doing what must be done. Makoto might’ve unknowingly brought about the fall for defeating the shadows, BUT Ryoji (Nyx Avatar) grew to love Humanity because of the time he’s spent with Makoto and the rest of SEES in the time he was human. He genuinely didn’t want to bring about the Fall, but he had no choice. It’s beautifully written imo
Ending gets me everytime. Even if you know how it went. It hits harder, actually. Game perfectly delivers the message. Our end is assured. But it's not about the end. It's about the journey to it.
LET'S GOOO I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS Also I can't help but cry whenever I see the ending, and seeing someone else cry while watching it makes me cry even harder. Again, congratulations on finishing Persona 3 Reload!!! You are now in pain like the rest of us xD
I started P3R a few weeks ago and wanted to follow others' journeys as well, and thus I found these videos. Once I finished the game I was very much looking forward to your reaction as well and I was not disappointed.
This game is beautiful. It has been 16 years since I last played it (P3FES, that is), and replaying it now as P3R was exquisitely nostalgic. It is a bittersweet experience. I am literally not the same person I was 16 years ago. I have experienced loss and so much grief since then... Really, it made everything hit all the harder, especially Akinari's link. Life is short, death awaits us all, so make the most of your life. It's truly a simple message, but one that resonates with everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed your journey and look forward to whatever's coming up.
THE ARCANA IS THE MEANS BY WHICH ALL IS REVEALED. So glad you got to be immersed in this amazing story. Reload was also my first experience of P3 and damn does this remake do justice by the original game. Excited to see FF7 next! 😃
I remember the friking frase that nyx always says THE ARCANA IS THE MEANS BY WHICH ALL IS REVEALED 20 FRIKING TIMES DAMMIT I love that boss he is the best
I only played the portable version so I always cry with the ending where you choose one of the three girls to talk with. The best ending for our DOOR KUN
Aigis in the end was the one that loved him. They all cared for him. But Aigis, an android became more human than most and loved him with all her heart 😭
I'll forever be thankful for you making Persona 3 your first ever Persona game. I know I said it a bunch in chat during streams but this game truly means the absolute world to me. From its world, characters, music, and overall message. I dont think I could ever be more emotionally connected to another piece of media like Persona 3 and I'm so glad you enjoyed it all the way through.
Absolutely one of the most beautiful endings to a game you're likely to see. You knew he was going to die when all of his hit points went into that last attack to seal Nyx away. It was just a matter of how and when. But it was like he didn't know he was going to die based on his inner monologue just talking about feeling run down or tired. But he willed himself from dying when he defeated Nyx to walk out so he could fulfill his promise. Then you learn that both he and Aigis remembered everything, when the others didn't. But where it really hit me was that Aigis knew he was dying. Which is why she wanted him to skip the ceremony, and go straight to the roof to enjoy the day. She didn't want to waste a minute of what he had left on anything other than relaxing and being at peace. But she was talking to him as if he wasn't dying, and he was just tired. It was her last way of protecting him, and the only time she protected him in a very real, human way, as opposed to as a weapon. And the last thing he saw was his protector watching over him. You also knew she knew because she had clearly resolved herself to him dying. The thought of him dying made her so upset before. But here she was serene. And after the credits roll, you see that she moved her hand from his to his shoulder to support his body. She knew he was gone and was ready for it.
reload's version of the last battle bgm, burn my dread, has lyrics that feel like the mc's final message to his friends. it's also the last time we hear lotus juice vocals in the game. thanks for playing!
I just had major respect for Makoto Yuki here in the ending for this game. The guy was supposed to have died during the fight with Nyx Core by using The Great Seal which costed *ALL* his HP, but instead held onto life for 2 extra months just to be able to keep his promise to all his friends to meet up together on graduation day. Dude literally said “F*** Death for just a bit longer…. I have a promise to keep and I ain’t gonna kick the bucket unless it’s on MY terms!” The way he passed away peacefully on Aigis’ lap just said “I kept my promise, now I can rest…” and that is why Persona 3 is held in such a high regard almost 20 years after its original release and Reload hit it out of the park! So glad you played this game and hopefully you’ll play the other amazing games in this series after your break!
Trust me you aren’t alone. Played this for the first time in 2012, and the ending hit me out of nowhere to the point i cried for a solid 5 minutes. ‘Memories of You’ still fucks me up til this day.
omg we finished the game on the same day! It broke me as well. I literally sat staring at the end credits balling like a baby. It hit hard. I had spoiled the ending for myself years ago but it still hit like a bag of bricks I was not expecting it to hit me in the feels like it did.
I remember beating this game during my highschool days (P3FES). My outlook on life changed drastically that everyone told me it was like my entire personality changed. I wouldn't say i became nihilistic. I simply understood what the game was about and it's message. I take everything in stride good and bad. While everyone around me has mental breakdowns over insignificant inconveniences, i take near death experiences like just another day. Just last month my niece almost accidentally killed me and while they were freaking out I'm calmly explaining to her how she needs to be careful. That's about the 10th time I've been a step away from death (security operations specialist). I'll admit i haven't lived life to the fullest due to paranoia and overthinking. It's when others pull me out of my shell that i truly have fun. Makes me wish i kept in touch with more of my classmates. My time with them was actually some of the best. I wish i could go back and experience it all again. Try harder and do more with them. Accept their invitations, join their teams, visit their places, meet their families. Sadly it's a 1 way path and it doesn't matter what we say or do. Sooner or later, we are all reaching the same end. ... I miss them. I really wish i could.
Gracias por darle una oportunidad a este juego, espero disfrutes de tu vida y seres queridos. Es lo que el prota y todo el cast querían decirte, soy feliz con saber que disfrutaste del juego a tu modo ❤
Makotos true persona is called the savior because he decided to give his life so everyone could live witch is a really beautiful end to his character development it's a level 92 persona and it doesn't have any weakness
And now his soul is trapped in a door at the edge of the universe sealing nyx. It’s been foreshadowed that Elizabeth will soon be on a journey and be a guest in the velvet room as she searched for a way to save him. While he is dead there is hope. Whether that means letting his soul rest or reuniting him with his friends we don’t know, but either way it’s a great story.
@cottonmather1969 The other megaten games still are (smt, DS, DDS, etc) but not persona. Though for sure that FF7 with its MUCH larger audience will likely win. This game though wins it for me at #1 no question. And yes the voice acting particularly the English is superb for no reason at all and it makes me happy at the effort they put.
Unforgettable experience.....But SEGA/Atlus couldn't let a good thing just be with the aggressive DLC implementation. That being said, I'm really hoping/excited at the prospect of The Answer getting a makeover to address complaints I've heard about it.
people shit on the power of friendship as a trope alot but theres nothing stronger emotion of knowing the p3 protag despite sacrificing EVERYTHING, still clang to life just to keep his promise. Shout out to the lyrics of lotus juice in burn my dreas, the protag wanting to payback everything everyones done for him, how its a gift he feels like he doesnt deserve, how it makes him invincible. "i got blood all over, ashes all over, but thats okay. Games Over." Peak Also it'd be cool if you at least played p2 before the other major titles, both to appreciate the references in the hermit social link in 3 but also cause theres some concepts that get reused later! Also they're uh, ps1 games (with psp ports), so VERY short time commitments comparatively.
Congrats on finishing the game! Now you can also cry whenever you hear Persona 3 music :) I'd recommend checking out Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight if you ever want to see more of this cast. It builds on their characters more and some of the dance choreography is amazing and eludes to story events which ALSO makes me cry. Also the remixes are great imo. It's not a canon game but if it were canon, it'd probably take place sometime in January
Didn't know you existed till today. Randomly saw this as I was suppose to be going to sleep. I'm an avid fan and this is the first time I have listened to any of your content. The PS2 Version of this game Persona 3 FES got me out of Middle and High School. Your reaction was genuine af and really got me reminiscing. I appreciate you. That was awesome.
Congrats for finishing this masterpiece, Persona 3's ending is one of the best videogame endings of all time and the whole last part of the game is incredible, it's always great to see people experiencing it for the first time. Also, please do yourself the favor of reading the ending song's lyrics, it's called Kimi no Kioku(or Memories of You).
This is one of the best persona games and it leaves you with such a bittersweet feeling I swear after finishing this game I stared at the title screen just wondering what to do next
lemme put a salt on you guys wounded hearts the lyrics song meaning - The memories of you : Wind is passing through, light as you sleep away. Your smile is something I'll never forget. Even though it hurts me so I shall make a wish for. I'm brave because you stood for me, so I'll go. If my dream stops now. ( I'm Awakening. ) I can see you again in the stories that are told to me, in legends. Memories that hide ( In the shadows that bind ) me to sing that one tune. Sleep in peace, restfully. You've saved our world now. My savior. You fought despair, without a care. Conscious was clear, died pure of heart and with no fear. You doused the dark, brought in the light. Offered your life, so that you could rescue mine. Smile on your face. Shining through the pain. Sharing all of the love through all eternity. Watching you sleep, I hold your hand, you look so peaceful while you fly throughout the skies All of the laughs, all of the tears and all the pain that we've shared with eachother. Memories I had. All of them with you. I'll remember 'til my life is exhausted. When I turned around, I heard your voice cry out. I could not hold back emotions I had I ran to the crosswalk paths, hoping to see you there. But I walked an open road into the dark. Tomorrow's the day. I will find you there. I'll see you once more, that's a promise that I'll keep to you, forever You and I will share the sun and the bright moon. We'll fly the skies someday! Nights we ran, through the street. The feelings that I had. Lit it bright. Friends that I shared the moments with, I will protect them even if it costs my life. All of the joy, all of the strife and all the cries that we've shared with one another. I would fight on to keep them all alive. I can't forget them I will embrace the feeling We were together, side by side fighting the odds When they were all against us But you had the strength, you had the strength, you had the strength to keep pushing on and forward. If I lost you, I would get you back. And that's why I will never leave you. I was not expecting to cry at the end of the game. I played the original I already knew the ending. But for some reason it still hit me like a brick. Especially the new title screen at the end.
happy to see more people playing one of my all time favourite games, you started with the best one tbh. glad you enjoyed it! if you havent already, you should read the translation for the lyrics to memories of you, I always imagine its sung from Aigis' pov and it makes it even sadder 😭
5:13:00 there's actually one more canon heroine. She's still on her own fools journey for the MC, Persona 4 confirmed that it is still ambiguous on what happened to her or when will her journey will end.
The credits where the protagonist’s soul slowly sink into the sea of souls while remembering the moment passed with is friend is awesome. Memories of You on top of it is insane.
This game destroyed me and made me reflect on myself, thankful P3 received the remake treatment cuz these beautiful characters and themes of grief + life deserved it.
Newcomers to Persona are always the best. I love your responses to the characters and the stories! If this is your first. I promise you, they all have stories on this level. They may be different and you may end up loving one over the other, but it's clear a lot of thought and care goes into this series' characters and stories.
I’m so glad you enjoyed this game as much as you did. I wasn’t expecting anything to top P5R as my favorite game ever but goddamn… I think this might’ve done it, especially with that final boss and ending. I hope to see you play through more persona games in the future, especially 5 and 4. On a semi-unrelated note, this game ends on my birthday, WHY MUST YOU HURT ME ATLUS 😢
I must say: Thank you for playing the game. Persona (And Shin Megami Tensei) is my favorite franchise, and Persona 3 was my gateway into it, so it holds a special place in me. However it's hard to relive the emotions I felt when playing P3, so watching your playthrough reflected on how I originally felt going through this and I felt all of the emotions I originally felt when I first played this game in 2008. It's really difficult to find a streamer who will choose to invest wholly into the story when they have a chat to talk to, and I chose to continue watching you because you are the rare ones who did. So, I really appreciate that you shared your experience.
Battle Hymn of the Soul is peak video game music. Taking the theme you hear constantly throughout the game into a drastically different genre to the point that you dont even realize it, until they perfectly mix the two opposing genres in the b section. Absolutely stellar composing
And it takes a solid month (at least) to recover. :'D First time playing P3 was Portable and it fucking broke me. 10/10 will do it again (...I've played this game far too much, lmao).
i've played p3p so i already knew the ending but i just finished p3r and it still hit me like a truck.. the way he was smiling 😭😭😭 i started crying after defeating nyx but seeing everyone on the rooftop made me cry even harder
Man..P3 has the best story out of all the persona series..this is why this game is my top favorite of all time..back when ps2 era, P3FES was the very first game that gripped me and got me very emotionally invested in every character and the game's story.. Now, still hoping that Elizabeth can somehow find a solution to the mc's eternal slumber..
I had already played P3 beforehand but Reload's ending REALLY fucked me up, it didn't help that the whole ending portion was emotional hit after emotional hit, the ones that broke me right before the end were Akinari's mom and Koromaru whenever he's sad that Makoto looks like shit, and whenever Makoto promised to adopt him after Nyx was over, that shit destroyed me. Then you have all of March 5th, the credits, the post credits scene, AND the title screen all hitting you in a row, it's brutal but fuck I love this game so damn much.
Can't remember if memories from school played in FES on the last day but when it started playing and reading the convos with everyone......I literally almost shut the system off cause of the emotion
I love robots, and one of ky favorite tropes is when robots start to gain human emotion and try to understand them. Aigis is one of the best examples of this I have ever seen and she's now one of my favorite characters in fiction.
I know people are looking forward to me playing other Persona games but I will be taking a break from Persona to play other games. I already planned on playing other games as well as the rest of the Persona series~ It'll come along eventually. Thank you for enjoying my first ever Persona game journey

Understandable, after a ending like that a break is definitely needed

The VA for Akinari's mother might have the least lines spoken given the number of tears shed of any character in history. So well acted and written.
The tears to words ratio isn't a concept I've ever thought about, but damn you're right.
Her VA was the second voice actor for Ken which is a neat touch. She voiced him in all the spinoffs since the original VA was never known
@@vivil2533her and maybe like Mary from SH2
i know right, lines to tears ratio is 1:100
I didn't have much issue watching Kaminari come to terms with his limited mortality. Hearing his mother grieve was 1000x harder in 1/10th the time frame.
That HP cost for that final move was a great hint as to what was happening.
My honest reaction “wait isn’t that my entire HP?…NAHHHHHH NO WAY RIGHT?”
Yea no cap I cannot listen to either version of “Memories of You” without instinctively tearing up. It hits so hard

Fun fact: In Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden, a "storybook about a pink alligator" is mentioned on two occasions. So even after Akinari's passing, his story was published and he left a legacy behind. Extremely fitting for the theme of his social link.
presumably Akinari's notebook was found by Makoto's friends after he died
Makoto is without a doubt the best persona protagonist. He defeated death itself sacrificing his soul in the process and lived for 2 months through sheer determination to fulfill his promise.
He did not defeat death. Merely sealed. Which makes sense, because death as a concept is unbeatable. Death eventually will come for all. In game, and in real life.
While it is sad, Makoto still had a happy ending where he knew he had protected his friends and the world at the cost sacrificing himself, that's why he died with a smile on his face.
The fact that he's the only protag to obtain The Universe arcana instead of The World arcana shows how based he is
Yeah, Makoto is the best, but i'd argue that Tatsuya from Persona 2 also deserves some recognition for what happens to him on IS and EP.
@@renren47618Agreed

And the ending song キミの記憶 (Memories of You) is Aigis singing to MC. Once I learned enough Japanese to understand this song the ending really hit even harder. Like one line
無くしても取り戻す、キミを I will never leave you
nakushtemo, torimodosu, kimi wo I will never leave you
Even if I lose you I'll get you back, I will never leave you
I'm guessing the unknown sender is probably Ryoji. Makoto looked at the music box Ryoji gave him right before he got the text. And if you go up to the music room before that, he mentions how he remembers a melody being played there once and how it's going to be with him forever. But that aside, this was an amazing game. And an amazing remake. Love the Persona series so much
It also could’ve been Elizabeth
Yeah we mentioned this after that scene happens. Chat shared the detail of him looking at the music box Ryoji gave him.
It's 100% Ryoji, you don't get that text unless you completed his link episodes.
A beautiful end to an amazing story
Eventhough P5 has all the budget, flashy animation and is arguably the most popular of the franchise, P3 will always have a special place in people's hearts ❤ The shock of losing a friend, the profound theme and this unforgettable bittersweet ending is simply on a league of its own. Theres a reason why almost 20yrs later fans still holds P3 in such high regard.
100%
Persona 4 was my entry into the series back in 2008, and I feel like with a series like this there's always something "special" about your first one.
(Only downside with going backwards is that most lets players are NOT ready for how much darker and emotional p3 is 🥲)
@@JJMomoidaP4 was my first Persona game but P3 just hits me in the heart so hard because of the themes that it instantly became my favorite.
P3 is the best
P5 may have all the budget etc etc
But P3will remain atlus peak,I don’t think they will ever top this story wise
i started with p5, placed p3r when it came out then beat p5g yesterday for the first time . honestly story wise... p3 takes gold easily
I’m glad the remake exists so we have more people discovering how good this ending is
It's so good and I wish I'd never experienced it.

Yea, same. Im like, oh, he's fine. Oh, wait
I like the idea that MC was struggling keeping up his last ounce of strength to fulfill his promise but still manages to slip in a teasing comment towards his homeroom teacher 😂
The remake's addition of MC's bonding moments with SEES members outside the SL events and main plot cutscenes made that ending SO MUCH MORE PAINFUL 😭😭💔 will be looking forward to watching your P4 and P5 vids one day 🥲💗
The Movie portraited that your not wrong actually
I'm a persona 5 music supersimp, but I have to admit that moment in the Nyx fight when the Velvet Room vocals hit is by far the best part in any battle ever
That moment is why I always say persona 3 feels like the finale of the series even though it's in the middle. The final boss theme is THE persona theme.

Persona 3 isn’t just the best ending out of all the mainline games, it’s one of the best endings in any video game ever

It just make me sad but agreed
I started P3R a few weeks ago and wanted to follow others' journeys as well, and thus I found these videos. Once I finished the game I was very much looking forward to your reaction as well and I was not disappointed.
The only game where I absolutely love the "power of friendship defeats anything" ending
It feels right here, not "cheesy"
Yeah this one feel right. it's already build up from the start and even if Makoto are technically won it's still cost him his own life.

Can't wait for the The Answer content to come out (in case you didn't know, Episode Aigis: The Answer has been announced to come in September as DLC!)
@@ohmygoditsI’ve heard mixed things but I’m excited to try it out
Aigis in the end was the one that loved him.
Died with a damn smile😞

Trust me you aren’t alone. Played this for the first time in 2012, and the ending hit me out of nowhere to the point i cried for a solid 5 minutes. ‘Memories of You’ still fucks me up til this day.
It's been a pleasure watching you enjoy this game as much as you have even as a lurker. Thank you for playing it.
Glad you enjoyed! Such a great game~
omg we finished the game on the same day! It broke me as well. I literally sat staring at the end credits balling like a baby. It hit hard. I had spoiled the ending for myself years ago but it still hit like a bag of bricks I was not expecting it to hit me in the feels like it did.
3:54:44 this line has lived rent free in my head for over a decade. I legitimately broke down crying hearing it again.
His death still gets me. I cry whenever I think of him and I'm not an emotional person.
The butterfly in Yuki’s final moment was the death persona “Thanato’s” representing his passing.
I do believe it's a nod to Philemon/Philemon's avatar still being around, even if not directly having dealings with the mortal world.
@CorporalCookie yes, the butterfly is in every game because it's Philemon's presence, even though he's taken a step back along with Nyarlathotep
Welcome to the club, this persona was the persona game most people played for the first time and it gave them a scar of PTSD

Btw, romancing Aigis will enable you to see her room and it’s really cool 😁
Makotos true persona is called the savior because he decided to give his life so everyone could live witch is a really beautiful end to his character development it's a level 92 persona and it doesn't have any weakness
And now his soul is trapped in a door at the edge of the universe sealing nyx. It’s been foreshadowed that Elizabeth will soon be on a journey and be a guest in the velvet room as she searched for a way to save him.
While he is dead there is hope. Whether that means letting his soul rest or reuniting him with his friends we don’t know, but either way it’s a great story.
Aigis until january - what a cool character. Aigis during January till the end - she is the GOAT.
This game should get GOTY 100% the voice acting, the story, the boss battles, the graphics, and even the gameplay are amazing.
The series is still pretty niche though. I'd be surprised if it wins against something mainstream like Final fantasy.
I couldn’t stop crying. This game is so beautiful

Also it'd be cool if you at least played p2 before the other major titles, both to appreciate the references in the hermit social link in 3 but also cause theres some concepts that get reused later! Also they're uh, ps1 games (with psp ports), so VERY short time commitments comparatively.
Congrats on finishing the game! Now you can also cry whenever you hear Persona 3 music :)
I'd recommend checking out Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight if you ever want to see more of this cast. It builds on their characters more and some of the dance choreography is amazing and eludes to story events which ALSO makes me cry. Also the remixes are great imo. It's not a canon game but if it were canon, it'd probably take place sometime in January
Something about this hurts the most, Aigis can read vital signs, so she knew Makoto was dying while she speaks... dude

I could not hold back emotions I had
I ran to the crosswalk paths, hoping to see you there.
But I walked an open road into the dark.
Tomorrow's the day. I will find you there.
I'll see you once more, that's a promise that I'll keep to you, forever
You and I will share the sun and the bright moon.
We'll fly the skies someday!
Nights we ran, through the street.
The feelings that I had.
Lit it bright.
Friends that I shared the moments with,
I will protect them even if it costs my life.
All of the joy, all of the strife and all the cries that we've shared with one another.
I would fight on to keep them all alive.
I can't forget them I will embrace the feeling
We were together, side by side fighting the odds
When they were all against us
But you had the strength, you had the strength, you had the strength to keep pushing on and forward.
If I lost you, I would get you back.
And that's why I will never leave you.

Just a painful but beautiful reminder of a great story~
I loved how well they mixed it. Easily one of my favorite songs in the entire game~

ペルソナというゲームをこれほどにも愛してくれてありがとうございました。
Can't remember if memories from school played in FES on the last day but when it started playing and reading the convos with everyone......I literally almost shut the system off cause of the emotion
I love robots, and one of ky favorite tropes is when robots start to gain human emotion and try to understand them. Aigis is one of the best examples of this I have ever seen and she's now one of my favorite characters in fiction.
Its where hart, he is gone for the Friends and for the World.. RIP
You should play the answer DLC! it was just announced. its like the aftermath and how everyone grieves after you die
You are now at the point where you can now look at the lyrics of Full Moon, Full Life and get it now.
I love watching your play-through!
Be it vanilla, portable, FES or Reload - Persona 3 will forever be my favorite game of all time. Thank you for playing!
