Combat flow is MUCH different than the other souls games too. The main goal seems like to build focus as fast as possible then to punish with rewarding heavy attacks which is quite the opposite of souls games.

After being drilled by Elden Ring to level vigor, definitely found out the hard way it meant nothing in the beginning of Wukong. :p I agree that the stamina tree and more focus points in the stance trees were a much bigger deal.
Also, I wish I figured out how the basic combat worked sooner. Would've made fighting that wandering wight less painful, knowing how easily it gets stunned with charged heavy and light finisher.
Still on chapter 3 due to me trying to find as much as I can before the inevitable Yellowbrow fight. Game definitely feels better as you progress and level up. Other than a couple of skips and stutters, game plays well on PS5. Those concerns over the game's PS5 performance being on the Cyberpunk level feels like a distant memory.

I was only able to play 2 hours because work is consuming. However. So far, so good for me, though the frame drips are extremely annoying

the bosses look fun. what about the traversal and level design tho. flintlock spoiled the hell out of me in that department and is my goty so far

Not s "souls-like" gamer here and I stopped playing Sekiro after the first fight-these types of game just aren't my taste. But I do really enjoy the journey to the west-monkey king storyline and wanted to push through with this game. Like Sekiro, dying to the first boss multiple times just isn't "fun" to me. I did spec my char for health. I'm going to try and spec my char for stamina (which does make a lot of sense) and see if I can fare better. Thanks for the vid!!!

I'm loving this game I just got finished with chapter one it's crazy how much new stuff you discover every time you kill a boss. I'm playing on PC so it always looks gorgeous I'm surprised how good this game looks might be the best looking game I've ever seen.
