Hi Elliot. The allodial system is the system of ownership we have in the US as opposed to the Feudal system where land is owned by a lord and the persons in possession are tenants. So, when you buy property today you the typical form of ownership is fee simple absolute, recognizing that government limitations such as taxation, police power, etc. and private restrictions are the ways in which ownership is limited.
