I really like the design of ravine, how the obstacles are placed and the bloon paths... but holy, it's hard
In my scale, i rank maps on how fun they are.
What defined good map: Obviously the one that isnt obnoxious, is well designed and is unique.
By well designed i mean if its executed well and doesnt cause you to ragequit.
It doesnt matter what difficulty it is on as long as its fun.
I find spillway to be one of the more awkward and difficult advanced maps to play on so I disagree that it's one of the easier advanced maps.
And x-factor deserves to be expert it's really difficult to play on for all stages of the game.
I would say ravine is harder than than bloody puddles in my opinion both are very difficult but ravine I find to be harder because of how shit the line of sight is on it is and the lack of good tower spots.
Once you figure out spillways it's not so difficult but I can relate to you're opinion 👍
@@KKGaming42 I agree with Spillway, its one of "once learned its easy" map the same can be said about Infernal which is no doubt easiest and my favorite Expert Map i like to come back.
@@KKGaming42 Only time Spillway is awkward is if you dont have the options to place something with good range or something in middle.
X Factor is hardest advanced map for sure and i would even rank it low tier Expert alongside Geared when we go that far to CHIMPS.
By being low tier Expert doesnt mean its easy as for Example Infernal, the easiest Expert map i would rank high tier Advanced.
Ravine is on all accounts harder than other True Experts, mostly because LoS restrictions are exceptionaly bad i wont even disagree its true Expert, i can Recall that even Impoppable was exceptionally difficult to figure how to beat.
It would be easy to say that Ace or Heli will make it look easy but once again if you dont have Upper path 3 Ace, by that I mean neva miss, you wont stand a chance in mid game.
Also Puddles and other True Experts are very subjective and up to personal preference but all share the peak of btd6 at its hardest.
The biggest one cheeses spillway! Easy strat is bloonjitsu in centre and a big one. And its simple to save up for biggest one

I agree with Flooded Valley, the early game is one of biggest D moves, you have to start with Sub then clutch up to get 2nd one near the end.
me who completed quad, infernal and geared (chimps) easily but struggles at X factor...

for me i beat x factor first try because i use strats
i also beat most expert maps
With new archievent related to Cornfield Chimps it was proven that you can win CHIMPS without removing any Corn, proving with good strategy and patience its easiest advanced map if not high tier intermediate while i would put Chutes into low end advanced.
rake is so difficult because the paths to the crossroads vary in lenght, which messes up targeting in a horrible way. your towers often ignore the bloons on the top path, because the ones coming from the left covered more ground. i learnt that the hard way when my avatar of wrath simply decided to let ddt's pass on chips round 99 multiple times.
Grandmaster Ninja is far better on Rake, for DDTs and having seeking shurikans. You can also use Perma-spike on this map effectively, with the caveat of good placement.
Yo man great video! Question. Near the beginning, you show some super monkeys blasting away on a high level. It appears to show their damage values for each hit. How do I get that too?

Bloonarius prime's right path works on prime numbers, like 13, 17 and etc.

also ravine on chimps used to be impossible so they added the sword easter egg and you cant beat chimps without it because even with pixel perfect placement there is always one balloon that gets past, at least i think its impossible since they added a new tower and geraldo

Im struggling so hard on sanctuary but I easily completed Infernal and geared already from ur expert sector. Do u have any tips to master sanctuary
I have a whole video explaining it in detail. You should watch it. It's called something like "8 ways to beat sanctuary chimps". It is slightly harder than infernal but not by much you won't struggle on it for long
I tried that technique with the spike factory placement but I always choked it. So I ended up losing. But I will watch that video and try the map again
a lot of useful stuff is there 🙂. I might make a regular chimps guide for the map but I kinda missed the timing 😂 map is not "hot" anymore

Hi! u/Geared_Chimps user here! You may have seen me on Reddit posting stupid CHIMPS runs on Geared before. As of this post, I have used every single tower path in the game on the map for a CHIMPS run. So I have a lot of experience on it.
With that out of the way, if you actually complain about RNG on that map, there is no RNG. Absolutely none whatsoever. I was heavily disappointed by the lack of information about that map in your video.

Well, the more the time goes, the higher the bar for me. I'd say, pro player can complete all expert maps chimps, black bordered the experts, has most of the achievements, has at least top50 race reward, beats elite bloonarius with no problem, and has a deep understanding of the game mechanics 🙂

@@KKGaming42 yes, I've beaten all the maps without a guide, so I think if I would use guides I could get some more, but I'm too lazy. I also have one golden border, but I'm too lazy too blackborder it.
I feel like i am not good, but it might be the impatience and the frustration some maps on top of tier list gives me.

Too difficult for the guide. It will be always random. You can't predict these maps. You just grind and grind until you get the right timings
