    They want to put Condos everywhere now. Inn on the Park Toronto was another Victim to this. Former Grimsby Secondary School could be one of the next buildings facing demolition. The original part was built in 1925 and I hope they are able to preserve it. I don't care what happens to the expansion parts. We need to fight to save old historic buldings. However Holiday Inn Yorkdale was not. I will have lots of good memories of this hotel. I stayed there twice for two business trips for my parents and I fell in love with the hotel instantly. I will never forget this hotel and I will miss it tremendously. So Long Holiday Inn Yorkdale 1970-2021

    UBJ im not up with Commerical properties to me that place looked like to could be a hotel and Conference centre for many years to come, but something has caused it to close down and be demod. Perhaps the indoor nature of hotel rooms was a problem with the smokers, maybe allot of noise complaints from roudy and rude customers on their balconies drunk and all these noises are inside this echoy dome foyer. Cool tour.

    Rather impressive looking hotel. Still looked new, though, well maintained and presentable. There were no signs of vandalism, probably they had security guards guarding the building. Too bad it's going to be demolished, soon. Probably, sold for tons of money or the company was going to build newer buildings and providing wider range of facilities. Compared to other abandoned hotels, when massive old stuff like furniture, beds, television sets were cast and left behind, this hotel was practically emptied of it's properties, except, for some broken furniture and a little bit of other stuff left behind there and here. Maybe, the properties were sold off or could be the owner is upgrading and starting anew. Thanks Riddim Ryder.
    A little haunting was detected in the hotel. Why should we ever be surprised, should we? In fact there was more haunting, with whispers and weird noises, but the haunting was a little sketchy and rather incoherent, so only six hauntings were listed below. Here goes:
    1) At 8:00 - 8:01 a male voice whispered, "Worst," after Riddim said, that was the male locker room. Wonder what the voice meant;
    2) At 9:09 a male voice said, "Hello;"
    3) At 10:03 a male voice called out, "Help me;"
    4) At 10:37 - 10:38 a kid faint voice asked, "You in here?"
    5) At 14:37 - 14:38 a kid voice said, "I did gotcha;"
    6) At 17:56 a male voice, clearly not happy called out, "Get out," while Riddim was inspecting the bar and restaurant area.
