You do the best knitting tutorials I have ever seen! Your voice is very clear as well as very calming. Keep up the excellent work! You are very much appreciated! God bless.
I love the look and cannot wait to do it myself. This would be good for me to practice continental. I'm just starting out on it after throwing all my considerable knitting years. Thanks you for the great video.Love them all!!
I just wanted to say I think your videos are the greatest. I have crocheted for over 40 years but never learned to knit, I decided it was time. I have purchased books and watched RUclips trying to learn the stitches and how to hold the yarn. Everything I watched when I tried to hold the yarn the way they showed it just didn't work for me. But then I watched one of yours and there was what did work for me, it's close to how I hold my yarn for crocheting. It works great for me. I just had to log in and let you know you have helped me more than anything and so far you are the only one I have subscribed to. My first knitted item was a dishcloth I made using The Old Shale pattern and it turned out great, I am so proud. Please keep up the good work. One more thing is there anywhere that I can get the written directions for the stitches you demonstrate?
I would think so, if used on the leg of the sock. Those raised stitches, for me, I don't think would feel comfortable inside a shoe but you may not have an issue with that.
I've never seen the LT done with skipping/slipping the other stitch -- I think this looks much neater and crisper, it pulls the stitch taut instead of letting it get baggy. Wish I'd known about that earlier -- I could use this on a lot of other patterns as well.
Kelly K You can use it for anything you like! If you want to use it for a bag, you'll probably want to sew a liner in, since this stitch doesn't create a very firm fabric.
Kelly K Weeelll, you can decrease by whatever your stitch multiple is, eliminating one or maybe two repeats per decrease round for example. I've not knit many hats, but I think the stitch pattern is not going to continue to line up exactly with the pattern in previous rows. Maybe you'll find that it will line up though. After the last round of the stitch repeat, I would do a plain row where you just work the decreases, then start the pattern again on the next round. Just continue that way until you want to finish.
Hi, I really like this design and I tried to knit it. But somehow the number of stitches increases with the number of rows. May I know how do I rectify the problem? Thank you.
Since I can't see you working, there really isn't any way for me to know exactly what is going wrong. But if you are gaining stitches, you are most likely making a new stitch that isn't necessary. You'll need to look at your work and try to find out where an increase could be happening.
***** I couldn't get the nice loop you have got on the needle after the first row (and hence the subsequent rows). I have knots present from the transition of knitting to purling and that made me very confuse about the number of stitches I have. Thank you for your prompt reply! :)

Judy Draper There is a link below each video where you can get the written instructions.
very clear instructions, thank you!
I heard it correctly this time. I must have had a senior moment. Thanks.
Esta muy bonito y a la vez sencillo y desente siga con mas puntos felicitaciones
Am new to knitting. And love this going. To. Try. This have nice. Nice
Beautiful! Great for a scarf since it's the same on both sides.
that is a lovely looking stitch :))
Would this be a good stitch for socks? I think I could translate it for knitting in the round.

Beautiful!
Velmi pěkný vzoreček.
Lovely stitch

Nice stitch.
Love this pattern -thanks
Great tutorial! What would be the best project to utilize this stitch on? Scarves? Blankets? What else?

If you were to use it on a hat for example... How would the decreases go? Would that be super tricky? What are your thoughts?

Thank you so much. I love your tutorials.
спасибо Вам за прекрасные уроки!!! а если вкруговую вязать, например носочек на 5 спицах, то как этот узор будет проделываться?
and both sides look nice.....

you say 6 plus 2, but when I go into the pattern, they said 7 plus 2, which one is correct?
Harriet Kozitsky I said 7 + 2, sorry it didn't come out clearly in the video.
