I think playing the highlights mode or whatever it's called is broken. The other team no matter how bad they are almost always manage to score especially late. It was like this last year too.
They’ll score 2 goals in the 90th minute… and the difficulty has to be higher. When I actually play I can get 3-4 goals easy… then I play highlights and barely get 1
Yo skillz, when you try and sell players that have expiring contracts, other teams are going to low ball you and not want to pay the actual price of the player or more. Try negotiating their contract first even for like 1yr extension, then sell them. I found it works for me in career and I can get the most of their market value. 👍🏻
Maybe you should fix the training regime of your squad rotate a bit between games because the way you play now some players go in tired this might be affecting your results negatively especially during these semi sim games

Try playing all highlights so your defending aswell, you'll still concede some but you'll find it abit easier, still difficult but easier Edit: do a career mode using only highlights with benfica, add a few mill and rebuild with the Enzo money properly
