My tactics on Irohazaka in this game: Section 3: Use the shortcuts (see the exclamation mark, the "Over Jump" corner indicator) to decrease the distance between Kyoichi and Takumi Section 4: Use the blind attack on Takumi while reaching the final corners
Taro Misaki Well, I ALWAYS take the shortcuts at Section 3, but I have to keep close to Takumi without passing him. In other words, I let him take the corners normally, then I use the shortcuts to cover the distance between us (watch the advantage meter decrease by the time Section 3 kicks in). Then comes Section 4, where I am very close to passing Takumi, I used the blind attack on the last stretch and pass him when he's not expecting it. That's my tactic for Initial D Arcade Stage for the arcades, but that is applicable for Irohazaka's night races.

The only reason he is not taking the shortcut is because the mission is to "Not overtake Takumi before section 4"
