I once spent 4 weeks at the port of Ponta Delgada on a merchant ship which experienced an engine fire about a two day tow from the islands. It was mostly all work and little play as we worked to repair the ship before continuing our trip to Africa with a load of wheat. Seeing this video, I wished I had a chance to see more of the island.
After Madeira I am still interested in getting here as quickly as possible. Reminds me a bit of Kauai & the moderate temperature is a + for me as well. No beach lying for redheads & I prefer trekking through islands with nature like these. Natural swimming pools are another attraction amongst the lava beds.
Years ago I read a book called 'Utopia is an Island ' . In the book it was said that in the Azores it was illegal in restaurants to serve a meal without wine. I always wanted to go there after reading that. Unfortunately I was never able to do so and now I am too old, sadly. 😢

Hallo and many thanks for this video. I have been to Madeira some years ago. Your video gave me the impression that Madeira is the introduction to the real pearls. Suppose I could travel to the Azores for 10 - 14 days. Which of the islands would you recommend as the second to visit, after Sao Miguel? Or should I just visit Sao Miguel at length? Any advice will be appreciated. Emanuel
I liked Flores Island just because of its spectacular scenery. So I would recommend it. But this island is quite remote. Another option is to travel to Faial Island, from where you can also take a ferry to Pico Island. The ferry takes about 20 minutes. There is much more to see on these two islands. To get a better idea, I suggest you watch other parts about the Azores on my RUclips channel. Have a good and safe trip
This is an ai video, no need to give it thanks and compliments. We can just learn and enjoy, but leave the comments, likes and subcribes for real content made by real people.

I can only wish you that this dream comes true
THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !!
Oh! I envy the nativers. 😊
I also had this feeling when visiting the Azores :)
“People arrived in 15th Century” - I beg to differ - they were there a lot before that…❤
maybe that's true, but it's just speculation🙂
These islands have made our planet more beautiful. There were many beautiful islands which got submerged due to rising sea 🌊 levels.
This is absolutely true.

A Cajun annoyingly reacting to the Thumbnail: “Aww…You went and gone ‘make a hole in the island!”
