Thank you for your video. Is there a kinder way to control these moths like a 'live' trap that would allow the moths to be released elsewhere/ With Biodiversity diminishing I would prefer to do my best to preserve as much wildlife as possible. Thank you. Happy gardening 🙂
I do hope you enjoy this video. If you have any questions for me do post them in the comments, and I'm always interested to hear what videos you would find useful that I could make in future. Happy Gardening!
@@erniesutton6559 how lovely to hear from you. Sorry to hear these pesky fruit pests are troubling you too. Hopefully you’ll have success with these pheromone traps.
Delighted to hear you've discovered and are enjoying my channel. I haven't developed any videos on growing onions yet, so will put this on my list. Thanks for the suggestion.
Several online gardening retailers sell them, and I bought my last ones from a supplier on Amazon. Just Google ‘Plum Moth Trap’ and you will find a supplier. I hope you have a good crop of plums developing.
@@Gshev1288 yes they work for me. I’ve found a single trap among my small number of apple trees is enough to catch enough male moths to prevent any females from laying eggs. I only have one fan trained plum and hang one pheromone trap in this and it does the job. If you have several trees spread apart then perhaps hang traps in each area.

Fantastic! The kit that I bought had hardly any details on how to put it together. Many, many thanks from Arrowtown in New Zealand.
