- It's no secret that I wasn't a fan of the M240i exhaust system from stock. Although tonally pleasing, it simple didn't create the sort of volume that I was after. So today, I get the Quicksilver Sound Architect Titan Sport Exhaust fitted by Quicksilver themselves, and so far, I can't say I'm regretting it!

Hey Joel,your intro soundtrack is a smasher,took me back 30 yrs, as for your exhaust mate,best I've heard on any 140i or 240i,the tone is fantastic and the build quality is superb,so much so my only choices would be quicksilver and ackropovic,the valve function is a win win mate,you done yourself and your car justice mate.

Tosh! They plan to ban sales of new ICE cars. Plan being the key word. There will be ICE cars on the road for years to come, albeit with increased taxes and duties.
Sounds like the oem mperformance with the silencers removed.

I was after an aftermarket one, but mines still under warranty, so I rang BMW and the guy said it only invalidates the warranty on the exhaust, not everything else. I know this has probably been done to death, but what are people's thoughts on this? - I blew up a turbo on a Golf R and that was costly, so I really don't want a repeat of that.

I'm in the market for a car within this price bracket and this video is making me really want an M240i... I was thinking maybe a Giulia Veloce 280hp could be a good option but man, that 6cyl is something else

What’s it like driving casually with the valve closed?
I need something I can tone down when I need too. It still sounded really loud on cold start but that could be the fact your inside a unit. Thanks Joel.
Put it this way, I haven’t even felt the need to close the valves as it doesn’t drone at all even with them open, so would be silent when cruising with the valves closed!

What made you go for this brand as oppose to Remus or MIltek?
QS system is something a little different and I think is really unbeatable. Retains the proper BMW sound whilst being louder and not sounding artificial
Who did the back box delete on the z4? I got quoted £250 for a rez delete, but that now seems expensive

Nah, nothing. Barely any drone when the valves are open, but dead silent when you close them

I got a quick silver exhaust and it makes a horrible droning sound, would strongly advise people to think twice without hearing it in person for your self, I got it and hate it and switching back to stock
What if I don’t want to control it through the phone ?
I want the car to always start as quiet as possible, and only come alive with sound when I put into sport or sport plus.
Is that possible ?
It remembers whichever mode you assigned. So if you put it into quiet mode before you switch the car off,
It’ll start quiet too.
@@itsjoel thanks for the quick reply, ok that sounds good, my wife and kids are in the car 80% of the time, when I drive it once every two weeks I want to be able to turn it on but when they use it I want it as quiet as possible.
Also I’m considering the light gold wheel colour found on the M2cs, I’m still not sure about the mineral grey with gold, what’s your long term thoughts ?

This is my job, which earns me money. I also do private freelance commissions, which earn me money. The cost of the car, insurance, mods are all business expenses and can be justified through the revenue they create for me. Moreover, I may have lost my full time job, but why does that mean I don’t have a solid financial cushion from when times were better? Hope that explains things
