This is my favourite! Burnt sugar almost like creme brûlée, with a hint of saltiness and the tiniest hint of smoke. It’s just glorious. Thanks for the videos!!
I loved the 12 year old as well , I think I seen the 18 one time only here in Idaho...I support the channel with a like and comment but wish I could support buy buying from u guys here in the US ...great videos
This is one of the most superb whiskies I've ever had the pleasure to drink, and I found it on sale for $104 before the price hike last year. I'll be cherishing my bottle one major life celebratory event at a time. Just a divine spirit all around.
I had the two bottles some years back and preferred the 18. However, you can buy three bottles of Bunna 12 for one bottle of 18 and that's what I would do. It's expensive for 18 year old whisky but worth a splurge once in a while.
Is there much of a difference between the new bottle 18yr vs the Roman numerals old bottle 18yr in cardboard box I recently, bought the 12 & 18 in the old black/gold box and it's is simply divine. Never had the newer 18 nor the 12.
The rumor around the water cooler is that yes! And you did well. I also have a 12 and 18 in the cardboard boxes, unopened. I am not a huge fan of the current 12 but if my bar was lacking an 18 year old to actually drink I might be tempted to buy one. It's a lot of money but comparable to many of my favorites. What to do with the older ones?
I thought the 12 Cask strength was on steroids and this is just really very good. The journey is justifying the cost. The 12 is one of the most affordable properly presented bottles and the 18 is on the high end of most core range 18 year olds. I very rarely pour a dram of $150 whisky.
Not at the new $150 price point, but if you're looking for a higher end bottle to celebrate with sparingly, this might be one of the better options if you like the 12 a lot. It's the bottle I have for "special occasions" and I have no regrets.
@@laner.845 I'm not the kind of person who's able to safe whisky for special occasions. If I have a whisky I like, than every night is a special occasion..

Try the Ancnoc 18, also 46% ABV, non chill filtered and natural color. A wonderful dram at less than half the price!
An outstanding dram.
Hard to find now.
You gentlemen are such a pleasure to watch and learn from
Good to see the boys with a really good dram . Good video 👍🇬🇧🎅
You guy are the best
Merry Christmas

I recommend putting a spoon of water on your glass, it tones it down and brings the dark fruit flavor to a higher level

Love the black/gold 18! Still have two bottles stashed. It’s been hard to find the new 18 in California but I recently found some so will try soon.
@@jackthepickledhound great to hear! Glad I found those 2 then.
09:00 Ben means apricot...
Looks like Horst got a new watch! Nice explorer 2. The question is, when will Ben get a rolex?
Pretty sure the polar and the sub have been in vids for a good few years.
@@TheRunningManZ Haha yeah I know he's had the sub for a long time, but this vid was the first I had seen of the explorer at the time
Is it much better than the Bunnahabhain 12?
Yes, this is the bunna 12 on steroids

I would say not that much better for the price
