0:09 There used to be a place like that near my house (about 20 minutes away). Didn't go super often, and it closed ages ago, but I remember loving it, and I was pretty upset when my Mum took me there, and we saw it was gone.
There used to be a place near my house that was a very purple jungle gym, there was a tower filled with bendy, black, thick strips, and one day a kid fell top to bottom without hitting a single one, the place was closed down and I think the kid broke multiple bones 🧐
Gymnasiums and places like trampoline parks have foam pits, I think that's the closest thing to an adult ball bit were gonna get🥲 (but they're actually super fun)
This is nostalgic for me. We had one of these where I lived, and it was so much fun as a kid. I am still mad they teared it down and put in a dang car park, and sad because it was right around when my cousin had kids and I was so hoping to take them there one day. This video made me so happy; not just because of the nostalgia, but the hilarity. I've watched it twice and it makes me smile and laugh till my cheeks hurt.
I’m a child abuse survivor (sorry for the downer) and don’t have very many good memories on account of not really having a childhood at all, but some of my earliest good memories are with my Seanmhair (grandmother, Scottish Gaelic family) where she took me to this huge play place in Inverness, we’d travel from further up in the Highlands (ain’t nobody gunna know my home village that has more sheep than people lmao) super early in the morning so Seanmhair could have a day out with me! What’s really annoying is I can’t remember the places name as it closed down a really long time ago, but she would take me every couple of months! Like Seanmhair was mostly wheelchair bound and in her 60s so she’d get Seanair (granddad) to chase me around some of the play areas that a fully grown man could fit in, I’d pretend to swim in the ball pit, he’s pretend to be a shark and chase me around the ball pit to eventually “catch” me, I’d then run around to parts he couldn’t reach and declare myself the winner. I hadn’t thought about these treasured memories with my long past sean-phàrantan (grandparents) and I know this sounds weird, but I genuinely wanna thank you for unlocking a bunch of treasured good memories. When I next visit Seanmhair and Seanair’s grave I’m gunna thank them for always taking me to the play place as a kid, those are some of the few genuinely good childhood memories I have, and I miss them dearly (only bio relative I have contact with is my dad, their son), and now I’m gunna do a bunch of research on an Inverness History FB group because I’m sure _someone_ remembers the play place, I know the road the building was on but not necessarily the building (opposite the train tracks) and I wanna see if there’s old photos of the place. It’s just so, so nostalgic, so thank you Mr Milkbag for this wonderful trip down memory lane.

one of the worst parts of being adult is that you can't go in these types of places anymore, i mean unless you're rich and buy the place or brake in after hours when no one can judge you for acting like a kid
@@meliantex there are a lot of things i use to do as a kid that if i did them now people would give me judgemental looks such as when i was a kid i would pile up a bunch of snow in the winter time in my front yard and dig roadways and tunnels into to drive my hot wheels around, if i wanted to do that now i would have to move into the country side or something where no one else lives or get a house with a backyard and a tall fence no one can see over, that or have a kid so people passing by just see me playing with my kid but i don't want to do that i hate kids and it would take years for them to get to the age where they can safely play with hot wheels, you know because little kids like putting stuff in their mouths and could easily choke on the cars.
Man I love when you get up to a higher level, you hear the air cannons whirring around you with all the balls on the floor, then you proceed to convince your bro to pelt some kid hanging out in the lower level ball pit. Good times man.
I remember in the playground I used to go to, there was a tower full of elastic giant black strips that would bend and twist very easily. One day a kid fell from the top to the bottom and then the place closed down.

I didn't experience these enough to have strong nostalgia for them, I don't think I had done so as much when I could. Once I learned about video games, the game systems at McDonalds that were similar to arcade games were more entertaining than the play structures they had. For me, my nostalgic moment was playing an older game I got recently: for anyone who remembers the Olson Twins (Mary-Kate and Ashley), they had a few video games as part of their franchise. One of them was a game called "Mary-Kate and Ashley, Sweet 16, License to Drive". Part of the nostalgia wasn't just the game, but remembering that childhood fantasy of imagining what it would be like once we were older, of hearing the fabled "Sweet 16" and imagining what growing up would be like. Things weren't what I imagined, nor are they how I imagined myself at 27.
Oh my god, yeah those places bring back some amazing memories...funnily enough the name of the place was literally "Cheeky Monkey's" lol. I can still remember so much of that place...it kinda hurts...
