This is probably the best interview that I have watched in a very long time. You talk about pulling no punches. Lloyd is a breathe of fresh air to listen to. He is so engaging and knowledgeable about his craft that I could listen to these clips over and over again.

Great upload. Been a Television fan since I first heard Little Johnny Jewel (& then Marquee Moon, etc..) back in 1977 & hearing Lloyd was a real treat as he said lots of interesting things... this last part.. well, nowadays nobody will give exposure to an early Dylan or Stones or The Sex Pistols on TV.. the 'powers that be' won't allow any 'counter-culture'.. but artists (like Robert Caruso, for one) prove that R&R can still be the valid, relevant art form of our times... thanks for posting this

great interview, thanks to Prism for asking the questions, and thanks to Mr Lloyd for his fabulous guitar playing. Saw Television once, terrible muddy PA, Manchester Apollo 78 I think, Only Ones supporting. Heard a story that the PA crew usually did Fairports/Steeleye Span gigs, so their approach was bass drum central, bass up, rest can take care of itself.Plus they didn't like these arty New Yorkers. We barely heard a note Richard played all night, really depressing affair.

great interview. Reminded me why I always liked Television. They were of their time and that time has gone forever.

Yeah, I too loved the interview, but I disagree that rock is dead. I live in Minneapolis and the music scene is quite healthy here. The only problem is that the good bands are really only successful here in the cities, or in the Midwest. For some reason there's a bubble around the area that prevents bands from making it on a national level, which doesn't make a lot of sense because there's incredible talent here.

Between 1:55 and 2:40, that's where Mr Richard Lloyd says why kids don't give a cent for music today and why the most intelligent interesting and capable people in each generation, who were once so into music, have lost interest in it and, moved to other areas. That's just how it is right now. Great interview. Seen all the 13 parts. Cheers :)

+Michael fitzpatrick how so? enlighten me. I'm looking for new bands to get into. where are they? when was the last time a scene emerged where something innovative came out? Probably twenty five years ago when grunge emerged. Maybe rock is not dead it's just been in remission for a quarter of a century.

Forgive me, but the publisher didn't state when these recording were made? Can anyone tell me? tell us? Were the recordings made in 2013? Earlier? Curious... (usually journalists include the time of interview. ...not here. ...oh but that's rock n' roll)
