    I watched a pineapple block tutorial that was so complicated and used the pineapple block ruler and thought no way will I ever make that then I watched this tutorial of Teresa's oh my goodness how easy you make it look and no special rulers, got to love that and I just had to go to my machine and make one immediately, just fabulous, many thanks.

    I'd like to add my thanks for this block. I needed a pretty 7" square to fill a spot in a quilt, and this is perfect as I just kept adding until it got to where I wanted, then trimmed it off, as there were no points to worry about! Many thanks, as I know I will make more of these.

    Boy Teresa, I have the pineapple ruler which I don’t need now. You’ve made this so easy for me. Thanks so much. You are a true Blessing

    This block was very beautiful, although I couldn’t make mine perfectly square, or the same size every time. But that didn’t matter. I turned them into lovely potholders and gave them away at Christmas. Thanks for sharing this technique!

    This turned out so great! I am using my new June Taylor strip cutting mat and your techniques were made for it. I am learning to get really good consistent sizes on my strips. I did have a learning curve, but now I love it.

    Wow that really cool. I made a pinapple used this special template. I ended up doing more rows to get the right size. Lol looks great but I like your method way better. Thanks for all your cool videos and your book is great too.

      I just checked my folder to see what I did - looks like I used about 20 fabrics - I made 20 blocks and I forgot they are not sewn together yet so not even a flimsy - I must finish it this year haha. I have a flower in the middle of each block and 4 rounds after; you have 5 :)

      slbram17 I had to watch a couple of times to figure out what each successive size square to use. I think after each round is made you remeasure and cut a square, sew around the outside, cut, press, remeasure etc...

    • @teresadownunder
      @teresadownunder  6 лет назад

      The next square is the same size as the previous finished square, yes.

He asked if you used a CAD program to come up with this idea and that he could have thought of it if he had given thought to it (I rolled my eyes at that...) and that it was a "far superior" method. :D
