Great figure I absolutely love it! Glad we finally have an official Gorgo figure. Great review! And for $100 I think it's fantastic especially when you have SHMA figures that average cost $130 to $160 and no extras.
I'm decently satisfied with this toy. I don't think it's mind-blowing but it's not a flop either. I had a few small issues with the toes and leg joints along with a few odd areas of tan paint on mine, but I think this still a solid release. I really enjoyed the box art on this one, very nice. I'd definitely be game for an articulated Titanicus figure from them too.
Yep, for this one I'm willing - and I think others should to a degree, too - to let some stuff fly under the radar. It's their first go at something like this. Let them know what you want and go from there!
Man, the design on the packaging's artwork looks so good. I prefer it if the figure looks like that. Granted, I dunno what is Gorgo prior to this figure's release, so I'm not the target market for this. This probably intended more for the fan of the original, so I understand why they make it as close as possible to it. If they ended up making a figure that's more like the artwork, I would be interested to buy it. I dunno, sometimes I prefer on-screen accuracy like Monsterverse and SJHU figures, others I prefer the stylized and creative take like the artwork of this figure and Super7's Destoroyah (the one displayed at Toy Fair, not the promo pic on BBTS). Putting aside my subjective aesthetic preference, on the objective grounds this is a well-made figure. It's just not for me. Nice review as always, Steve. Do look forward to their release for an articulated Titanicus, as well as your possible review of it.
A very fair review, overall I'm impressed for a first time articulated figure from this company. I'm glad I got mine it's neat to have this lesser know monster in figure form.
for a first figure its great, although with the red GID red in general doesn't last as long as other colors do which that's just the reality we live in but yea, really solid pack for what's included, i personally thought it was worth it
Just as a quick heads up, Titanic Creations announced that their next articulated kaiju figures are going to be Yongary, from 1967's South Korean film "Yongary: Monster Of The Deep" and Pulgasari from 1985's North Korean film "Pulgasari". Currently, Yongary's preorder is slated for April of this year, though Pulgasari has no preorder date listed. Also, for those wishing to get a repaint of TC's Gorgo, Titanic Creations will be releasing a comic version set for preorder on March 19th and set to ship in April. Only 500 units will be sold.
I own one of these figures and I love it! With Baby Gorgo (the Mama is more popularly known as 'Ogra') and the 'Big Ben' clock tower really complete this set to perfection! The small jet planes and the diving bell are great additional details in the entire package! If you think this one is awesome, just wait until the 13-incher is released! For the 'trick' with the eyes to 'glow'...try an ultra-violet light on them! You'll be amazed!
If there wasn't this absurd obsession with excessive articulation that has permeated the modern collector, this figure would have looked a whole lot better than it does. The most absurd articulation is the neck followed by the waist. No living creature has a neck that moves that way. And the same goes for the waist. Since the head can move left right and all around, why would there be a need for the neck to move? All it did is cause an unsightly separation between the bottom of the neck and the rest of the body. It was not necessary for the arms to have full rotation. Because of that, the big gap at the shoulders is unpleasant to look at. A slight bit up and down for the arms would have sufficed. If this thing wasn't so pricey I'd buy two of them and fix one of the up to show people how it should have been made.
Man its so good to see Gorgo become an articulated figure
I'm sad I missed out on this one. Definitely gonna get the comic one. Also hop8ng for a Gappa/triphibian monster figure :D
Same, sad PayPal is Not supported. As a European it is difficult to get Gorgo. Or Yongary they made now.

I’ve been really happy with the figure. Glad I got one before they sold out.

It’s nice to see more obscure monsters getting some attention

This has me super excited for their articulated Titanicus figure. I thought the red eyes would have a battery to make the eyes glow, but I'm happy
Titanic Creations is taking preorders for a 13 inch more accurate Gorgo. Order before 11/30/23 or they'll cancel the project.
I got no complaints this set is amazing hands down.
I’m so mad that I missed the order windows for this. This looks really good.

Where do you get the gorgo?
It was a crowdfunded figure that had a limited amount released. There's going to be a repaint of the comic book version releasing on March 19th.

I ain’t reading all that
@@KiryuInBeach It's not that much to read.
Bruh it's an action figure, not a statue. If you want that, they're doing a 30CM vinyl.
@@StevensToyReviews yeah bro
I think I'm shadow banned.
from whomst?
@@StevensToyReviews I've posted comments in the past and not even one reaction, but now I guess I can give my reaction to this figure
