This is without doubt one of my favorite songs.. I've followed Lukas Nelson for some time, one Apple we all should appreciate falling near the tree.
Great singer/songwriter & I've always dug the way they have a really traditional but edgy, familiar but contemporary funky sound.
You can often hear echoes of Willie, but in a uniquely more harmonious way...
I just really dig he & the band. I sincerely hope they continue following the "Austin Weird" path that seems to suit them perfectly. ..
AND YES, TEXAS COUNTRY has its own salty, earthy, honest sound. That state pride we carry comes from many "GOOD THINGS" that could have only been cultivated living, loving, & growing up Texas..Willie & Lukas Nelson, Don Henley, Billy Joe Shaver, Ray Price, Robert Earl King, Bob Wills, Buddy Holly, Jason Sellers & Janis Joplin come immediately to mind. It's really is always bigger & even when it's worse, it's always better in Texas pal.
This tune only gets better and more meaningful to me every time I listen to it. I fucking love these guys!

You just gave me a moment of epiphany, still in awestruck when i just realise(willie is his dad) after putting up the pieces. I just got here by some random music and i thought hey this band sounds good. It's good to know that he has a son and don' t use his dad's name for promoting his music. Awesome stuff.
