Congratulations Grandma! I have two grand-daughters named after me, one has my middle name as her middle name. The other has my first name as her middle name! What a gift both of my daughter's bestowed upon me.
My mother passed away when my younger sister and I were 10 and 14. We both named our first born daughter's after her. She used my mother's middle name for my niece's middle name and I used her first name for my daughter's middle name. This was very much planned and shows how much someone is loved. It's a truly beautiful way to not only honor someone, but to keep their name alive for future generations. Your children admire and love you very much❤
my oldest has my mom's first name as the middle, and my great grandmothers name in reverse for the first name. rosemary. There are a bunch of Marys and my GG was mary rose. both grandmas and a few other GGs named Mary. So I got a lot of ppl in with that one name and my grandmas were ecstatic. My mom's mom was the happiest since it was her mom who was mary rose. Her daughter's name for a middle name. She said, "I thought you were going to name her something crazy, like Penelope." 🤣🤣🤣idk why she thought Penelope was so crazy lol I have another much younger child. My 5 year old. Her father wasn't my husband when she was born. We were actually having a really hard time relationship wise so I didn't really want to overstep by doing this before, but we've discussed it since and we're going to change her middle name. She has two middle names and the first one she never really was impressed with. I actually wanted to give her this middle name originally until he said it was his mom's middle name. She passed away suddenly of a stroke in 2020. May 1st to be exact. So we've talked about it and we're going to change her first middle name to his mom's middle name. Lucinda Elise.
How nice! My son and daughter named their son after both their dads, but don't want to name any of their daughters after me. Smh. I was and am so hurt. Crazy when you know your momma sacrifices everything for you in a way fathers never can.

Coming from a grandma myself, grandchildren are what it's all about. When your children get grown, you go through a lil depression for a moment until the grandbabies start, THAT'S WHEN U REALIZE WHAT LIFE IS TRULY ABOUT. Congratulations to you all on a beautiful baby, n It's so great to see grandma be acknowledged, believe me, she loves you all, (yes even the inlaws) she loves like you don't know, until you become grandparents yourselves. ❤️❤️❤️
My daughter is 5 and tbh I already have huge sad moments where I worry about her outgrowing me. Whenever she asks to be carried, I carry her bc one day she won't want me to carry her anymore 😭 I love her so much.

OMG that baby looks like a china doll! So perfect! And her tiny pink hat! 😍😍😍 My heart is bursting.....and at the same time aching. My grown daughter is currently not talking to me...meaning I can't see my 5 grandchildren. She was a lovely baby, a sweet lil girl, but in her teenage years became a whole year's worth of Dr. Phil episodes! I don't even wanna explain everything she did because it was 3-4 years of hell for me, that have already left me wounded... figuratively and literally. I clung onto the hope that one day she'd grow past that stage and we'd become close again, and we have many times....or so I've always believed in and been overjoyed about. Then out of the blue she's resentful and angry and shuts me out again. I've asked to see my grandchildren, arranged days for one or two to come and see me at a time (I only have a small home, plus not sure I could cope alone with all 5 at once! 😂) and each time she's had something unexpected come up, or had problems with her phone or some other bullshit.....then tells the kids that "Nanny doesn't want to see you!" 🙄 Anyhoo, don't know why I put that out there! 😳 I had a son when my daughter was 17. He was exquisite! I love babies and children. Sadly he died aged 5½ years, from Chickenpox. That was ten years ago now and my heart and arms still yearn to hold and nurture a child. 😢 This little dumpling in her pink hat is such a sweet lil dolly! You are a very lucky grandmother, and your family are also very lucky to have you! I hope you have a beautiful family Christmas together. Just because it won't be that way for me, doesn't mean I don't wish Happy Christmasses to others. And for those on their own like me, stock up on snacks and plan an activity to keep you occupied!!!! It's just one day after all so try not to dwell on what could be, and do something fun for yourself! I've put aside a box of crafting goodies I haven't yet tried out, so that's my Christmas Day distraction sorted!!! 😜
Im so sorry ur going through this and i can feel ur pain just reading ur post!! Ur daughter isnt being fair keeping ur grandchildren away from u!! I hope she realizes soon that she is wrong and lets u see them!! Im also alone on xmas and have been for 3 years now. I dont have any family at all and i hate it!!! So i wil b thinking of u xmas day and i hope ur day goes ok!! Life can b very cruel but its how we deal with it and get through thses harx times that matters!! I wish u well!! All the best!! 💕🥰💕
I went through the same kinda thing with my daughter. I wasn't welcomed to her wedding because SHE thought i might have caused problems between her father and new girlfriend. I would never have done that! And I did not get to see either of my grandsons born. Not even a phone call. Found out through relatives. So not fair!!! I dedicated my entire life to my daughter and son. I hardly exist in their eyes now. I do get to see them every 3 yrs for about 2 hrs but that's it. The youngest one won't even come close to me. I've done nothing to deserve this. So I feel your pain. I don't know why certain kids grow up like this. My entire life I've dedicated working with children of all ages in Day Cares, Preschools, Elementary, even High School. Kids love me and I love them. I'm 57 yrs old now. I'm a good person. I was a great Mom! The only thing I can blame is their father. But if I even mention him, my daughter gets so mad we can't even talk to each other for yrs. So if I keep quiet, I at least see them every 3 yrs. Best of luck to all of you in the same boat. And God Bless you. Merry Christmas! Patty
@@joannewhitbread148 thank you Joanne! That's a lovely reply! 🤗 My Mum died 3 years ago, and apart from my daughter and her brood.... I've still got my Dad, he'll be 89 on Christmas Eve! But he's spending the day with my daughter because I gave birth to her on his 55th birthday! Yep, both Christmas Eve birthdays! I used to say to my Mum, if I wrote about my life people wouldn't believe it was true! If I do ever write a book I think I'll call it *"You couldn't make this crap up!!!"* 🤣 Trust me that lot up there ^^^ barely scratches the surface! I haven't even started on my autoimmune conditions... 😳 So yeah Christmas Eve is their day and I don't resent them having fun. My eldest brother lives with my Dad as his carer, and I can't go to theirs because dog's aren't allowed there....and my dog is elderly now and I'd never forgive myself if I left him and something happened.☹️ So it's no pressies for me this year...no rocking round the Christmas tree! No tree in fact! But you know what, I won't go down without a fight! I swear I survive because I won't give in to other people's bullshit. The meaner someone is to me, the more I'm determined to come through it better than before, just to piss them off! 😂🤣😅 (Whatever works, eh?) I will think of you Christmas day too! It is what it is! See if there's something going on locally???? Or go help out at a place serving other's Christmas dinner perhaps? It might make you feel good, might help you focus on your life not being as bad as other's perhaps? You'll chat with people, pass a good chunk of the day away. My council emailed me last week to let me know there's a free Christmas dinner going on this year for all those spending the day alone. I'm not going cos I want to stay home with Smudge, my dog.... But it cheered me up that they sent me the email anyway! You have to take comfort from even the tiniest things, whether it's hearing a baby giggle or seeing birds eating berries in the winter hedgerows. Plan something to do that day that you enjoy, and put the things in a box like I'm doing and add your favourite snacks and treats, and then don't touch it til Christmas day. Whether it's pampering stuff for an at home salon day, or like me crafting stuff so I can spend the day making things, plan ahead now, so if the loneliness doldrums hit you you've got a diversion. I will think of you also on Christmas morning and be sending you lots of love! xxxxx ❤️ 😘😘😘

I'm a grandfather. I love my two grandchildren very much. It cannot be described, and they openly prove and show that they love me. Believe me, it is a priceless treasure. Unreserved love.
This baby looks too cute and perfect, like a doll. May God bless your family and this cute baby ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful baby she'll grow up to be as beautiful as her Grandmother.
Love the swaddling. Take good care of the both of them. Girls are precious at any age.
Grandma was to busy looking at her grandbabies precious lil face to notice the onzie. You can tell she loves all her babies. My daughter made me a Grandma 2 years ago and I'm in love. I always heard it's a different kind of love but you just can't understand what that means until it happens to you. Bless her daughter's heart for this ♥️ Good Grandma, good daughter, precious baby
I have two grandchildren. My grandson was born on Valentine’s Day in 2019 and my granddaughter was born on Thanksgiving last year. My two little joys! My grandson and I are so very close. I took care of him a lot when he was a baby.
so lovely
I'm a grandmother of two little boys and you described the "different kind of love" perfectly 🥰 I was with both my daughters when they gave birth and they let me name both of them 💜
Thank you for this comment. My mum spends two days a week looking after my daughter whilst I work and even though my girl is my mum's seventh grandchild, she's her first grandchild in the same country as her and she loves her to pieces. Reading about it being a different kind of love just makes it feel even more special 🥰
What a wonderful Gift to a wonderful Woman😊
Yeah the only problem is that a baby is not a gift it’s a person!! you had slave for too long in that country and forgot it was not OK
@@cosmocats20489 They didn't Gift the kid to her! They gifted her with the recognision of her character traits that they want to pass on to her daughter because they apreciate her so much
@@cosmocats20489 Although agreed that a child should Not be expected to be q Carbon Copy
LOVE ENDURES AND GOES FORWARD,and the baby,in gods own image, god bless this family forever
What an honor!
It’s all nice until you don’t like your daughters in laws 😂
I wish my children had grandparents who actually thought like this.
Are you kidding me? I am all about this empty nest! I hope my daughter waits as long as I did to have kids (she may choose no kids and that would be fine with me too).
@@ivymarie. Take lots of video. They grow faster with each passing year.
There is no more important to job than the loving and protection of our young!
that is THE most beautiful baby I have ever seen
How precious the grandma. 🍀❤️
BEAUTIFUL ❤️🥰
As a grandma myself...I cried 🤗🥰🤩
To have any lil'being named after u in an honor that can't be put into words 💞🎉 Congratulations Grandma enjoy ur precious gifts🥰🥰🥰
I would cry having that honor bestowed upon me.❤❤❤
Always worried about things. The definition of Grandma.
How sweet! I love seeing women being good grandmas and mothers!!
My own mom hasn’t cared about my children or seen them in over a decade, despite living 2@ minutes away.
I just love this!!❤❤❤
I am so sorry. My daughter’s family lives about 45 minutes away, and I try to see them once a week! Your mother doesn’t know what she is missing!
The baby looks just like grandma 🥰
How does she? Doesn't look anything like her at all in any shape or form.
@@bodders4167 I know your miserable around the holidays but dont ruin the moment for others!!
I was thinking the same thing.
I love this whole thing! But the other granddaughter:) is awesome! "Yeah grandma it's you! It's a version of you" I literally love that dear child's words to emotional grand! So beautiful! God's continued blessings to you and your family. Jesus lives u all. Be well.
That was so sweet. I didn’t get the name - did anyone say???
@@CGH250 they never said the name...but I can see it, and it says Violet😍
I made out violet and it looked like the middle or last started with a D but couldn't tell! I love the name violet it was on my list for both girls but got canceled out in the end...if I ever do have a 3rd daughter it would be between violet something (many middle names i love to pair with this haha) Or Ruth Louise:) I love the name Ruth, but I love the nick name Ruthie Lou! I go old fashioned with my girls haha. Anyway apparently it was story time haha! If anyone figures out that second name, please tell us :)
@@desbrbry2318 I know! Older generation names are so lovely! My great grandmother was Ruth and my great Aunt was Louis! Also, Velma, Judy, Idell (Delly), Theone. My middle name is named after a combination of my half-sisters' grandmother's name Jean and my dad's father Gene, so my name turned out as Jeanne. My sister named her children more classical names but for some reason I didn't with my kids.. 😅
@@angela_somanythings5670 beautiful names! Clearly I love them haha! They are on that list of mine! I love Delly :) that is super cute! My grandmas friends name was Velma, she was a cute little lady. I always liked the names Vera, Ophelia, and Scarlett but I just never stuck with those! I like your family's style of names. My sister went way more modern as well :)
So beautiful! I'm named after both of my grandmas and it has always be an honor to me. God bless this family and is all! Thank u
My daughter did this for my mother in law, Margaret, right after they found out she was having a girl. Three weeks after Jasmine Margaret was born, she sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer after 13 months of fighting the good fight. 😢😢❤❤ These little girls will always know love no matter what. ❤️ Thank you for sharing your precious moment and your beautiful baby with us! Congratulations 🎉❤
“You always worrying about things “ the child said at the end. ❤😊😅. Maybe that’s her job. To worry about you little one. She loves you. Love ❤️ this
OMG that baby looks like a china doll! So perfect! And her tiny pink hat! 😍😍😍
My heart is bursting.....and at the same time aching.
This little dumpling in her pink hat is such a sweet lil dolly!
Patty
You use quite a lot of emojis for someone who's is getting close to 50........dont think your story is real.
If I do ever write a book I think I'll call it *"You couldn't make this crap up!!!"* 🤣
Trust me that lot up there ^^^ barely scratches the surface!
I haven't even started on my autoimmune conditions... 😳
So yeah Christmas Eve is their day and I don't resent them having fun.
😂🤣😅 (Whatever works, eh?)
I will think of you Christmas day too!
Aww. I have a son like that. He just refuses to come home, and visit me from.time to time.though he lives quite close by. Not even when I'm sick and alone. There are so many others like you.and me... But bless this son who is so sweet!
Such a beautiful thing to do fantastic grandma Beautiful baby girl xxxx💗💗💗
I don't think there is any greater honor than this. Another human will love that name as both their own and her grandma's.
She never fails to show up for her grandchildren. Love it.
That baby is Beautiful. What a Blessing
Congratulations to the family especially Grandma..she must feel so honored ❤️
GOD'S BLESSINGS TO ALL. What an honor to be holding a grandchild and finding out she carries out your name. Make those MEMORIES!❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Beautiful Grandmother! Beautiful Baby! Beautiful Memory!
So beautiful 😍
🥰❤️❤️
God is good!!! ❤️💯❤️
❤️❤️
Beautiful baby
To have someone name their baby after you is the honor of all honors.
Must feel so blessed to have her little granddaughter named after her ….❤️ how sweet and honorable
What an honor 🥰
I was named after my grandmother. She passed not long before I was born. It's a special bond.
Reaping what she sowed. Beautiful.
I'm not crying you are! Congratulations grandma 👵🏾 👏🏾 ❤️
Oh my God I cried right along with her 🫢😢🫠🙏… I love the granddaughter telling her “it’s a version of you!” 🫠 so sweet ♥️♥️♥️♥️ congratulations family and welcome to the world babygirl 🎉💋👋
Well Kelly glad to see everyone is doing well. Truth be told .
Yes, Definitely felt the instant emotion of Grandma! Very sweet.
What a Beautiful Comment 💯❤️
That's another generation. What a feeling when you hold them for the first time. You precious baby. Wait till that one your holding hands you her's. Oh My!
Your so blessed having a wonderful women as your mother.
Not gonna lie at first I thought it was one of those realistic baby dolls until she smiled. Too precious.
This is the point where you know you've been an amazing parent to your child. When they bestow upon you the honour of naming their most precious person after you. What a gift ❤️ I gave my son my dad's name for his middle name. My middle name is my nanas name. It's so lovely to have that connection 😭❤️
My daughter and I have my paternal grandmother's maiden surname. It had died out of the family, so I resurrected it.
And the Grandchild actually looks like the Grandma! What a beautiful moment 😍 A fitting honour for a devoted Grandmother!
It's because of grand mothers and mother's like you, families and societies thrive. God Bless
The little kid telling her she always worries made me cry, not because it's an innocent little line. But because all I can think of is that they unintentionally told her she needs to take better care of herself, worry about herself for a change. They love her and worry for her as well.
I didn't get a name, but I got a birthday. That was even cooler. Congratulations, Nana! 🙏🏾💜🥰
you didn't get a name? 😳
...... what
My 2nd daughter shares a birthday with her grandma as well!
Wai wha-
I'm sorry I'm working with like two braincells at this point, do you think you could elaborate further?
It’s the greatest honor to have a grandchild given your name
What a beautiful baby. She's all pink and perfect.
How beautiful
“Yer gramma’s favorite”
The grandmother's joy in her name for the little girl is touching
That baby is really beautiful...I love the fancy bow on her hair! Great thing to do children, she's thrilled!
Very precious, babys so lucky to have a grandma like that. God bless everyone
Such a cute adorable baby!
This woman is loved and so blessed. She also gives love and she is thankful for it.. God bless her. 🙏❤️
I'm definitely crying. How sweet.
Awww, what a precious baby. She's perfect in every way. A tiny angel sent from heaven.
I truly believe that a name should mean something to someone ❤️. I think it's the best compliment you can ever give someone ❤️.
Congratulations nanna so beautiful enjoy every minute God bless you always 🙏
Accomplishments are truly measured by your sense of Bliss and fulfilment down the road.. bless her
“My child’s child, is twice my child” 💕
She looks like Grandma too! Grand parents are so important! 💖
She's full of dignity God bless you with your twin ✨
That kid talking is adorable!!!
I'm named after my gma n it's such an honor
I would have loved that
I know the feeling , my last granddaughter was named after me ❤️❤️❤️🤗
Those kids know her love and their excitement to be involved in that moment just shows how much she is valued.
Losing your parents so young you don't get to experience such beautiful moments. This is so special.
That is so nice how they really appreciate her. What better way to show it. Congratulations to all of you she's a lucky baby girl
This is so beautiful. Then there’s my mom who made the decision NOT to meet her last granddaughter who will be a year old on the 19th. I am a grandma myself and I could never do that. This is just beautiful
Her loss, not your baby's.
Awe heartbreaking for you. I don’t know all your circumstances but it is clear you will have better relationships with the family choosing to be in your life. 😊
This is the greatest love of grandma's life...🤗🤗🤗
(It's a version of you) only next to God,children, grandchildren and great great grandchildren (all children)are the second greatest gift of God...Salvation,for God loves all of us...😣😯🤗
Beautiful absolutely beautiful.
