Not wishing to sound like an "armchair athlete" but I always felt with your previous there was a lot more there. However you rode a very steady race and had the schedule to work towards which ultimately led to your success in clinching the record. This time around though Alex I have a feeling you can and will push yourself further and along with your updated tech - your on for the new record! GOOD LUCK and GO FOR IT!
Loving the updates, Alex! I doubt any of us realised just how much planning & organisation goes into an hour record attempt (I appreciate that we're only getting to see a snippet too). Thank you though for bringing us behind the scenes as you prepare for your attempt, I'm praying that you smash it 🚴♂️💨👊
I love how exact a gear calculator is, more than any other measurement device. I started riding timed events on the track this year, using a steel pursuit frame with drop bars and 30mm deep wheels. I input my gearing and expected cadence (87), and the projected time and my actual time in the 4K were almost spot on.
Kudos goes out to any parents these days. I couldn't imagine the constant focus needed to keep a little one safe etc. That surely has to eat into fitness/recovery/focus etc. It was one of the reasons I got a vasectomy. Alex you DEFINITELY look like you are ready for this TT in the next week. How fresh your face looks, your vibe, the tone of your skin and other biological read outs indicate to me and others you have peaked just right for this and ready for an hour of pressure in the pedals but none in the head. Crush it mate!
Note that there is a systematic 33% overestimation of how much distance you lose by riding above the black line. You actually only lose about 9 meters in distance for every meter above the black line.
Good luck Alex, seen you around Hanningfield Reservoir of late on TT bike when others were resting - did wonder why, LOL. (find the music a little loud/annoying)
Will it be live streamed/televised/available on catch-up? Ditch the background music, kinda interferes with your commentary. Good choice of skinsuit (Have you been talking with Biggles? Whatever happens, “Best of Luck”.
A very clever Durianrider brown nosing up Alex arse, after criticising his diet and other stuff and after his infamous squeeze test he is now one of the most laughable bike critiques on you tube........remember as durianrider said Alex eat raw sugar eat 10 bananas a day and squeeze your frame just to make sure
Pro tip: studies have shown that a beer belly is aerodynamically advantageous.
i should be like Concorde then lol
I was studying that very topic just last night - in the pub 😂
Such a fantastic watch Alex, and Chapeau on raising the profile about Hemophilia, and other hidden diseases like T1 Diabetes which my Wife has 💙👏
Godspeed Alex
Speed indeed
Good luck Alex!
Alex, I'm loving these daily updates. Cheers.
Good luck Alex. We'll be watching, somehow..
Good luck Alex. My heart rate went up just hearing about the gearing of 61x13! Hope you smash it.
Almost identical to a 52x11.
@@robertlight2370 where can you buy an 11t track sprocket?
Fingers crossed, Alex !!! Stay well and stay focused.
Go on mate!
Go Alex. I will be watching.👍🏼

Good luck 🤞

Best of luck Alex

Alex, looking forward to seeing you attempt the hour record again. Good luck.👍

Good luck Alex, I’m sure you’ll go well. Great inspiration for other Haemophiliacs 💪
For anyone.
A lot leaner for this one ☝️
Best of luck! I hope there is a live stream?
It’s going to be streamed on his channel
world records seem super hard to break. thankfully, there are things all of us can attain, such as, attempting a world record :)
Well done Alex, when are you gonna come to writtle and do a ride with me and mark walker we'll train you up!
Yip fantastic update!! But did I miss what bike frame you’ll be using or we take it for granted it’s a factor??
Track version of the new Factor Slick, he talked about it a few videos back.

How about having to travel more like 16m/km further by beening 0.5m above the black line.
Please get lantern Rouge doing the live commentary on the hour record and not the random guy who commented for Victor!
This👍 not the dude for Bigham either pls!
Matt Stephens & Adam Blythe are commentating it 👌
Assuming a 23mm with 2096mm rollout, your cadence to beat the record with a 61x13 should be 93.4 rpm.
Good luck Alex, seen you around Hanningfield Reservoir of late on TT bike when others were resting - did wonder why, LOL. (find the music a little loud/annoying)
If we wanted to come and watch your attempt how can we find out the information? Good luck!
Check out the website right at the top of this page, I believe he will be streaming it there.
Top Ganna is going to smash it soon 😉
Would he go for individual persuit record or the hour? Is it confirmed?
@@andarenbici it seems like for both, but for now he only said he will do it in 2022 in summer so there's no particular date
Doesn't matter still won't be the first under 4 😉
Maybe it would be best to post about the record after having done it. Might be less pressure
How can we watch the attempt in the UK?
On this youtube channel.
Is that a whoop band that you are wearing?
Why optimise your skinsuit for 43km/h and not 55 or so? Even if the air density is lower, surely the airspeed will be the same?
if you are going to wear a Vorteq ss for the hour why did you wear a NoPinz ss for nationals?
Nationals have regular team sponsors, I think.
2:42 Chanel had enough of listening to you
Will it be live streamed/televised/available on catch-up? Ditch the background music, kinda interferes with your commentary. Good choice of skinsuit (Have you been talking with Biggles? Whatever happens, “Best of Luck”.
F*&^ng cool!!!!!
is this a real question?
