I was trying to get Au (the golden monk skin) and as I was fighting Olmec I had just gotten past his bomb throwing stage so I could go straight to Temple of Anubis, but while I was climbing a rope down to avoid fall damage, an Olmec bomb just drops down next to me and goes off killing me (I even have the clip of it on Xbox)
I loved spelunky classic. Spelunky HD was pretty good, but I could never get into Spelunky 2, felt way too masochistic. Some of these secrets seem like trying to roll a hundred dice and hope they all land on the same number.
methinks having to do 94 levels of the same shit over and over but with an instant death enemy guarding the door everytime after playing through the entire game *on a secret alternate path* is cringe at least in games like Noita or Isaac the obtuse secret hunting gets you things that could be considered rewards, like cool new spells or my favorite character in the game, instead of the most blatant padding ive ever seen a game pull off

Hey Albino, just wanting to let you know that you can actually tell if there's a skeleton in front of you by looking at the eye socket of the skull, the living skeleton has a slightly wider eye.
