Hey zed I’ve been playing red dragon archfiend like crazy since the support dropped and I’ve fell in love with absolute powerforce as a 2 of in the deck and I think you should give it a try, I have my own variation of resonators and for me I dropped 1 lubellion and 1 maxx c for 2 absolute powerforce
@@ZedLockYT actually I was also wondering if you could one day make an aggressive resonator earthbound immortal deck with ccapac apu with the main deck as the earthbound and the resonator as the side piece. Make opponents life points 3,000 and smack with ccapac apu for 3,000 to the face (Hope this makes sense)
Bystial extension is by far the best set you can use with this deck, 2 cards and you just lock with calamity. Been doing this in the TCG and now in master duel too

Bystial is most likely the best engine to use together with Resonator, because of opening up with more combos to play through disruptions (thanks to Bystial Dis Pater). Etude is so helpful to shut down combo heavy decks because of Calamity.
Bystials add more to the resonator's combos that's why they are good, and the new supports somehow likes to banish cards and re-summon them, which Bystials are very good at
damn i love how konami took a pet deck and said lets make 90% of the cards you need to add to bump it up to rogue URs and SRs (Yes i understand theres budget cards for the deck but my point is Crimson res is a rare and its a special summonable +2 for the deck)
Tbh the fact many important cards are SR is huge. You need 3 soul, 3 bone and 1 red zone. All sr which should be easy crafts. Other than that you only need 6 URs from the new set. 1 scarred, 2 vision and 3 crimson gaia. Thats not too bad. If you build the deck from Scratch its a different story though.
@Corey91666 you do have a good point in that it's not all URs, I'll admit I'm just a little butthurt that pretty much every wave of legacy support/ any new deck or engine is almost entirely all URs and SRs. Hell a year or two from now, decks will probably be 90% URs.
@@TKDread i hope not but VS, dracoslayers and mannadium are brutal for no reason. Idc much about SR as these are relatively easy to get. However i agree that a deck should also have a common or rare card in it. For RDA they made the splashable part UR in vision and gaia. the bare Minimum splashable engine would be 3 gaia + 1 vision and 1 scarred + 1 OG RDA in ED. I just hope more future decks are like this with some common and rare cards and not that dracoslayer Madness. Especially since dracoslayer is not even strong.

You kidding me? Passing turn a Baronne and nothing else for Swordsoul is basically a death sentence. You’re basically telling your opponent “I ain’t got shit you can OTK me”
As an RDA main, I see Avramax I wait with Supernova or crash with RDA after using Absolute Powerforce. And did a good job against Lab, that deck is one of the harder ones for RDA to counter.
Not really. Resonators tend to lock you into Dark Dragon Synchros for the rest of the turn. Bystials are your best bet for Calamity-locking with this deck.
Freak my toggle was on Auto instead of On so my etude of the branded would activate only when the opponent would do something which would miss the activation of my king calamity if chained summon.
I tried both, and honestly resonator with bestial is much more flexible and better in both offensive and defensive ways. It gives more opportunities to set up or reset up like when your board has been whipped out. Once, my monsters were all destroyed twice and I was able to come back from that
may I ask why cant I activate etude during my opponents draw/main phase 1? I have the needed tuners and sychros but cant summon calamity in right timing
There are 2 cards that I want to ask: 1. Fiendish golem, besides banishing Nova to have 2nd board-wipe, is there a point in running it? 2. the other card is Pixie, because you aren't running any field spell, I don't see the point of running so can I replace it with something else?
Fiiendish Golem is a very optional card to add to the deck, I just added it since it is new and I wanted to atleast showcase it. You can run it on 1x or none at all. Ancient Pixie is ONLY a synchro fodder, we don't care about it's field spell effect since we don't run any. Once Kuibelt is released, Ancient Pixie will then be replaced. I recommend playing Ancient Pixie if you have it, but if you don't have it yet then save thoseUR pts for Kuibelt
You can add another Scarred Dragon Archfiend, a lvl 8 dark dragon monster, or Red Nova Dragon (Red nova is now playable since we can easily get 2 tuners on the field and we can easily summon OG RDA)
Fiendish golem can be good if you land on a board with it, dis pater, and abyss with no banished cards because it can banish an opponents monster which then makes your dis pater live. Doesn't come up too much but it was nice when it did. 👍
I can't promise it yet since I have no idea how fang of critias works atm. Lair of Darkness is not an anime deck but I might instead plop that in as an engine for a specific archetype
@@ZedLockYT lair of darkness is technically related to the virus traps and diablos, and critias basically fuses with traps to summon dragon fusions, like doom virus dragon or mirror force dragon
Which deck do you feel is more consistent? I honestly feel the pure version gets out dis platter and red hot out more often than the bystial variant but that's just me
I feel that pure is more consistent, but it's probbably becuz I'm more used to it than the Bystial version. Both are good and Bystial does extend our combos, in terms of consistency I keep getting what I want with the pure more than the Bystial ver.
AP is just our Synchro fodder. There will be times where opponent negates our Bone and we our left with a lvl4 nontuner and lvl3 tuner monster. Once Kuibelt is released them we will replace AP with Kuibelt
I like him better on the final chain since the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response after it's effect's activation. chain 1 like resonator monsters can be activated first then KC last

I assume they mean that if you summon Calamity via Etude, it needs to be CL1 because the lock is a "when... you can" effect, meaning it will miss timing if done at CL2 or higher. You're saying that when you activate Calamity's lock, you like using it to chainblock (which is correct), but to be able to do that in the first place you have to make sure you don't miss timing, which is what they were warning you of.
If you are just starting out there are better decks that play better around popular meta cards like maxx c and nibiuru. Although this looks like a fun rogue deck for sure. I’d recommend checking out master duel meta before investing in a new deck
From scratch this deck can be pretty expensive, I think you might be better off building another one first. Use the resources like the one the comment above mentions to decide before using your gems and crafting materials and try get the Swordsoul starter deck if you don't have it yet, that way you at least will a have a decent base to build an OK deck.
Im having 0 luck with this deck. my hands are always trash and it loses to most decks. Not sure what i am missing but i aint having fun with this, maybe i just suck with it.

I won't be surprised if they do ban the card. Only reason why KC is getting plays nowadays is because meta decks like Mannadium or decks that utilize the new card the "Crimson Dragon" abuse it. Heard that they will also be used by Centaurion once released. I don't believe the card is toxic WITH it's archetype since we rarely summon him (some do not even play him in the deck).

Infernoble is getting popular lately, and i'm sure a lot of players will play that in the Duelist Cup. I'm biased so I'll recommend Resonator XD

Synchro call trap goes amazing with this deck
It could be negated with ash or called by, unlike with the branded trap.
Synchro Call is unfortunately unsearchable, that's why only a few play it
Also it's less consistent to perform unlike with bystial engine.

I play pure more during on rank, but bystials does extend our plays (and gives KC lock)

I actually changed the deck probability a bit. I changed Crimson Reso and Wildwind to 1x

We have no reason to play that card anymore, since we have vision (that has it's SS effect, but better) and a new lvl 3 (Soul) XD

I would say it's partially preference but the benefit of golem is A: Searchable. B: Brings Dis Paters effect online.

Red reign is not yet searchable,so we eill have to rely on drawing it. Once Red Lotus is released, then we will be able to search for Red Reign
