    Could not agree more with you in regard to the Government here in B.C. and its decisions with wildlife management.. just got back from a 2 week moose hunt in northern B.C. Got it done!. I’ve hunted exactly where you are a few years ago. Nice country. Keep up the great content.

    You dirty dog! Leave us with a cliff hanger like that! 😁. Those boats sure look like a great way to travel moose country.
    Seems everyone’s government is getting in the way of hunting. We continue to have battles here in the western us for losing opportunities. Colorado actually has a bit coming up to ban mtn lion, bobcat, and lynx hunting. Crazy how these things are on a ballot now.
    Can’t wait to see the next episode!!

      I don’t think the governments will be happy until they stop hunting all together, it’s crazy.

    Man, those boats are friggen cool! Question - is 200km down river the closest you could get to a launch, or did you just want to run the jets that far as part of the experience? Overall how long did it take up river on the boat?

    • @bcextremeoutdoorsman
      @bcextremeoutdoorsman  Месяц назад

      Hi, yes very cool boats for sure. As far as I know there is no closer launch. Up river it took along time, I am not sure as we jet boated hours after we lost light and then I never looked at time and didn't really video, but I would say well over 12 hours. Thanks for watching and the question, congrats on your moose and good luck on the rest of your season, take care.

    Great Video! I have a 470sj Alaskan with 60/40. Put it through its paces this year packing moose meat and camp. Was having some trouble getting on step with heavy weight in the boat. Pump seemed to be cavitating. I know you have the adjustable transom I’m wondering if that is the answer? What are your thoughts?

    • @bcextremeoutdoorsman
      @bcextremeoutdoorsman  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi, Thank you and congratulations on your moose. I am not sure if the adjustable transom is the answer, but I defiantly have my motor dialled in for my boat. I would like to go faster and I am thinking about a 60/40 maybe for next year. As you will see in the coming videos with a moose in each of the boats we couldn't get on step either. We were just to over weight, luckily it was all downstream. Lots of playing with these boats to get them dialled in, then I want a bigger motor. lol it will never end :)

    • @bcextremeoutdoorsman
      @bcextremeoutdoorsman  2 месяца назад +3

      Hi, I'm pretty sure we ere gone on the 27th so it might not have been us. My favourite dates vary. I have shot most of my bigger bulls around the 10th of Sept in the past, bulls between 50" and 60". Then we started going later so the weather would be colder and less bugs. Then we started shooting bulls in the 40" top 50" class. But I have found the are moving the most the last 3 weeks of sept and going into oct. Of course it all depends on the year, weather etc. I hope you had a great trip and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you ever see me make sure you say hi. Take care, be safe and have a great season.

    how do you feel your motor performed compared to the other boats with a mercury ?

    • @bcextremeoutdoorsman
      @bcextremeoutdoorsman  2 месяца назад

      Hi Richard, Its tough to compare, as there boats are built way different than mine. Mine did very well, I got better fuel economy, my boat went faster on the way in up river, I could definitively run in skinnier water. If I was looking for a boat I would get a Solar, I like my boat. Not that it's better, it's better for me. My boat is more of a race car and a work boat, the Stryker IMO is more of a workboat, just my opinion. As for motors, I think if I went for a 60/40 I would go with a Tohatsu. The Mercury ran fine and seemed to perform ok, hopefully next summer I will go out with the guys and really see what those boats and motors will do. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, take care.
