Main bhi 1996 se toy train se Simla jata tha har sal summer vacation mein. Barog station to Mera dil hai. Wahan ke cutlet, wahan ki khubsurti. Bas train 10 minute rukti thi, dil hi nahin karta tha Jane ka wahan se. Feeling like crying ❤. Ab bade ho gae, bal bachche wale aur zimmedari nibhane wale. Lekin barog se lagav hamesha rahega.❤

I stayed in this station for 3 days in the railway guest house...it was fun walking on the railway line from the tunnel till the Home of upaddhay ji the station mAster...
Best part was the iconic British era control room with their old immaculately managed equipment n functioning properly...another interesting thing were the guest rooms with British era furniture n fittings...
It was a station where the sahibs would rest on the way to Shimla after a long arduous journey during the Raj...

Beautiful.......I travelled no of times on this route, when I was there in Chandigarh & Ambala Cantt for 10 years. Thanks for recollecting my memories....Shimla High way is of 4 lanes now....Great. Kasauli is also a great place. Please make a presentation on Kasauli. Shimla view & Kalka view and the 3 to 4 hrs Kalka - Shimla Train route view from Kasauli......
