We lost variety. That's all. When I was little, some of the folks around me didn't like what I liked. Now that I am older, I don't like what my little cousins like. The only difference is that you could turn on the radio and hear NEW songs from Anita Baker and Barry White along with Tupac and Arrested Development. Also, you can sing your heart out, but it really falls back on what the people want to hear. I know mind control goes into play too. It's confusing.
