I'm 26 years old, across the country from my family. I woke up this morning to a text from my dad with a link to this video. The tears came so quickly. He always worked so hard to give us a good life. I left home right at 18 to get away because I had a difficult relationship with myself and my mother. I'll love him so much for the rest of my life. I hope we have more time together.
This comment hit me HARD. I coulda wrote this comment myself. I left because of my mom kinda. I miss my dad. I nmdidnt get as much time with my growing up because of her. I'm trying to spend as much time as I can with my dad.

We discovered cancer in my daughter's head when she was 2 years old, we went through the valley of the shadows, and God performed a miracle in her life and she is cured. Today she is 2 years in remission and we remain happy and with great gratitude. Alice, my daughter is 6 years old and doing very well. God is wonderful 🙏

Needed this man, as a 21 year old father of 2 the last year I have been so stressed and focused on making something for my daughter almost 4 and son almost 3 it feels like I missed out on so much being so focused on work and building this future. Still feel like I’ve gotten no where and the trade off is heart breaking. But this song does make me want to slow down a bit for these previous moments that I have left.
As a daughter I can tell you all a daughter wants & needs is her daddy's love, understanding & support. The worldly things don't matter when a girl can get that. I know because I was raised by an abusive alcoholic & I didn't care about what we didn't have except of course food which was also used as a punishment, all I wanted was his love, support & approval which never happened even up to the day he died. Love your girls make them feel safe & strong that's enough.
I was just saying that… Mine is graduating high school 🥲🥲🥲 I remember when she was little making a latter out of the cabinets to serve herself popsicles in the pitch dark… Lolol you think about how much they drive you bonkers but she is leaving in June and this song is so very true….😢

I couldn’t even get through this song. I can’t even tell you how much I want to go back to the simpler time in our family’s life. Our 9 year old son passed away unexpectedly in August 2022. A few months before he asked if he could attend a Christian school rather than the public school so he could learn more about Jesus.. He never got to attend his new school but I know he is in heaven praising and dancing with Jesus. I wait in anticipation to join my little boy. Despite everything that has happened to our family we continue to praise Jesus in our storm. I love you Blakey and miss you more than anyone will ever know.
I stumbled across this song while searching for another, but I just couldn't bring myself to stop listening. We kinda need to stop sometimes, I guess, in order to look behind and see the grace of God in all those ordinary, but so special moments. I hope you and your family find peace after the storm, and may the Lord give you solace and joy through precious memories. You'll surely meet again where there shall be no tears!

Im a father pf two boys a 14 and 11 yoa! This song brings me so many memories… tears to my eyes!! Seeing my kids grow up be young men its the best experience of my life… I feel so blessed! I was a Police Officer for 11ys and retired to work from home when they were little so I wouldn’t miss a second of these years.. And give the most time to the most important job I ever have! Being a Dad!!

So agree. Makes me so sad. I miss this age of my own two daughters and son -- and then the 9 Grandchildren each special in their own way. Youngest granddaughter celebrated her 21st yesterday but I remember the day her mum was Born -- feels like yesterday almost 48 years ago. This song is so very true. My son passed away a month ago and yup, I want them back. So I think parents just have to remember to take that extra moment to do those special things for your children. Even through the hardest of times. The good the bad and the ugly. You just never know what tomorrow will bring. So definitely new parents, try to stay calm and enjoy each moment you have. Life with our children or for me my one and only is so precious. Find blessings in the small things.

I had 3 children, one right behind the other. It was like staggered triplets. I remember being in a restaurant with my husband and all 3 babies. It was the worst moment of my life with a 2 year old, 1 year old, newborn... the chaos was crazy. Screaming, crying, hungry, not getting food fast enough, snacks not cutting it.
A little silver haired lady walked up and saw my frustration and exhaustion. She patted my hand and said, "Honey, one day you will look back on this day and beg for it back. "
I know she's gone to be with the Lord now, but I would love to tell her how right she was. I would love more than anything to have that and so many other days back. I love and miss my babies so much. ❤
They are grown leading lives of their own... but oh to go back and do it all again. ❤

Im 42 years old with a 6 and 4 year old. Youngest starts kindergarten in a couple weeks. I quit a 20 year career to work from home full-time because this time with my kids goes so fast and I didnt want to miss it. Wow. Tears tears and more tears. Heart breaking as I think back to our first born, our amazing son, who was only here with us for 14 years. He is exactly as you describe in this song. So full of energy. Such a happy little boy. And he was so beautiful. We count our blessings as we still have two other children who are now young adults. Still doesn’t take away the pain. And YES. The majority of people in these comments are listening from the parents point of view. However, I'm seeing it from the son's point of view. I've already completed my childhood journey. I'm now in my 20's, working, going to school, and struggling to find time for everything in my life. However, hearing this song made me think about my parents and how well they raised me, and made sure to spend plenty of quality time with me. Growing up really does feel like goodbye. It makes me sad that that childhood is over, but thankful for everything they did to make it special. I also am hopeful that I will be able to give my kids as good of a childhood as what my parents gave me. And this song also was a reminder to still spend time with them because you never know when it'll be the last time.

It’s amazing how much you learn about life from raising a child. When I look back on who I was I’ve realized the difference between living and being alive. Before my kids were here I was living but the love I’ve learned from living with them is something words can’t carry. My kids showed me what it really means to be alive
I was awaiting the release of this song. I played it on the way to work today and literally wept the entire time. I have a 10 month old and 4 year old and am very blessed. Wow yeah that got me bawling. Beautiful song and reminder of how fast the time goes. We have our kids only for a little while, then they're gone. We had 2 grand children in 6 months this year, and the cycle keeps going and now we'll watch our children raising their kids and we get to enjoy the grandkids. This song is beautiful, but you are so right. These days we do want them back. I miss being a mom. Really wish I would have been way more patient with my kids.

I would take the sleepless nights and then in the morning go to work without no sleep anytime. My oldest turned 16 in December. My youngest is 10 and middle one is 13. They r growing fast. I wish i could pause time.
