Incredible detail. Not clean sanitized tourist excursion rail but working rail and real crew much like the U.S. phased out 60-75 years ago. Am I wrong but were the crew keeping teapots and food warm just above the firing gates? The crew, the expressions, this is just so fantastic. It shows the human side of steam rail now gone. Thanks!
Absolutely wonderful. and t he cab scenes were brilliant Maybe the best footplate evocations I've ever seen. I cold smell it and feel the vibrations. They are remarkable engines. Lucky you!! :-)

So sad that it is finished with steam. Great filming over the years. Are these streamlined engines superheated compared to the other engines that ran tender first up the hill?
Gorgeous video! Great filming! What kind of camera did you use? How did you hold it so steady? Outstanding work, thank you for sharing it! 美丽, 漂亮, 优美, 美, 秀丽, 锦绣!
@@longqwf001 That's amazing! I realy thought you had a "pro" steadicam or something. And the sound quality is amazing! It doesn't distort loud sounds, (even in the cab ride) and quiet sounds are perfectly clear. It's an incredible peice of technology. Thanks so much for the recommendation. I'm sold!

This is pure bliss. Sounds of locos is music to my ears. Wonder why would they want to shutdown steam locomotives in this section ever. There's free coal here to use for centuries.
My grandpa I never knew; passed in 1932, was a fireman on the Missouri Pacific before the turn of the century. Went west through the mountains. I feel really cheated.
Did you see the Fireman, he is a Chinese but he look like a Black Man. While the British lamented the demise of their beloved steam engines....The Chinese steam trains workers were thinking, Those Nuts Crazy Fellas!..... what the hell they are thinking. Be gone Steam Coal engines!.. Get us new electric trains. Cough...Cough...Cough.....( Black Soot come out of their mouths)
These were the last operative days of these steam engines. The reason why they had use them is because coal is very common in that region and to build a power net was too expensive and difficult till now. China never does something without looking into efficiency.

Thanks!
Excellent photography and an awesome addition to the Steam age.
Mr Qin . Fortunately your videos will keep the memory of JS steams for the future generations . Workers of the mine will be proud of this.
Steam Trains to me are a living breathing machine. They served us well for so many years and now there's few remaining. So sad
Well in an ironic twist since we see so few running we appreciate them so much more
I wished that steam in China lasted a few decades longer than it did before.
Beautifully shot video. Truly cinematic! And valuable documentation of amazing technology. Sad to see these go. Thank you for posting.
The sounds alone are amazing, so poetic

There is something inherently satisfying about coal powered steam lifting coal out of a mine.
Это и обосновано экономически, ведь уголь для шахты не нужно покупать. Паровоз же при должном обслуживании может работать сто лет безотказно.
Wonderful audio. Great visuals. Xinjiang looks a lot like Colorado and Wyoming

Latest news saids steam locos will continue operate till 2020, and all of them are the same JS type engine, superheated type.
@@longqwf001 That's very sad.
@@WesternOhioInterurbanHistory They ended up working until earlier this year but have now finished.
Is the last trailing car on the coal drag a small caboose of some kind?
Why there was no steam whistle on these locos?
Locos on east pit are not allowed to use steam whistle due to noise abatement
less things to break in a air horn compared to a steam whistle.
13:15 One kettle for Tea. The other maybe for soup.
Ik there still running (2020) but had the mine offered to donate at least one for preservation
大佬,我想申请一下把你这个视频搬运到B站,请问大佬是否同意,三道岭的视频已经很难看到这么高清的了
Any word on if all/any of these locomotives will be saved /put in a museum?
Probably not

It's filmed by Osmo Pocket. Really small and reliable! And make every video unbelievable steady!
@@longqwf001 Oh wow, Cool! I had never heard of that before, but I guess you proved it really works! Thanks for the reply!

WOW I love the throttle control. You are an expert. 🌝🌝🌝🙏🙏🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️
What camera and lens did you shoot this with? Quality is outstanding
It's shoot by Osmo Pocket, smallest 3-axis stabilized handheld camera. And you can get DJI Pocket 2 now, with better senser.
That sound is just thrilling
I wonder if they got a discount price for the coal. ? :-)
It's FREE, haha
Mr Qi . Is it just JS steams stopping or is the mine closing down?
It's gonna to be the end of mine. But the newest message from sandaoling saids, JS may be survive into preservation for tourist.
Mr Qin Thank you for your answer. I hope the all site will be preserved . And JS for tourist is for sure a good idea.
Why last days?
Love the rear view mirror at 4.17.
And the kettles sitting over the firebox.
Has the mine closed down yet?
Newest message said they expended the mining license of open cast to 2022, and at least 4 locos are still alive now.
сразу не понял что это над дверцами котла ,оказывается это 2 чайника - оригинально!

They are going to shutdown the mine, including everything in the mine.
@@longqwf001 ohh okay !
Amo esta nostalgia que este tipo de trem nos trás.
Fantastic video!
Just out of curiosity, which particular JS did you get a cabride in?
I can't remember, every engine has similar cab, hard to identify.
It must be cold, there's ice on the ladder to the engine.
And humid. If you watch a steam engine in the desert, the steam disappears instantly.

What is that clown doing in a muzzle??
Sure can use a coat of paint

Steam is dead in China now.
So much for Ecology, Joe should have forced the Green New Deal on the Chinese, not the US.
