  • Come along on my FIRST full pantry tour, a visual celebration of our preservation efforts. It's a space that fills me with joy every time I enter. Every jar tells a story of dedication and love for home preservation. Then join me as I take inventory, making sure we're ready to craft delicious meals using our preserved treasures. I also chat briefly about why we won't be sharing any content on the 2024 Three River's Pantry Challenge.

We go through a lot of rotel, so I like to can tomatoes with peppers. I use different peppers for different heat levels. I also do chili base, pepper steak, sloppy joe, meatballs, Soups, and lots of meats

I did think about doing more sauce type things with tomatoes but we don't really use many others. Though a chili base is probably a good one as we do like chili. I haven't convince David that canned meat is going to be good yet lol. I just need to do a few and test it out on him.

Chickdeefarmdiva. I've found that the texture is very similar to Taco Bell meat. Very fine crumble, on ground beef, at least. Other Meats come out so tender

If you rinse the bruschetta before eating it, it tastes much better. On sliced, toasted baguette with melted fresh mozz. A spoonful of bruschetta and a drizzle of olive oil. Yum!

Like rinse it with water?? I never would have even thought of that so thank you!! I really do hate wasting food which is why I hadn't tossed it yet!! Will definitely try.

Hey there! I do love that there are no hard and fast "rules" to the challenge but for some people it just isn't feasible for any number of reasons no matter how much flexibility you give yourself in your "rules".

Do you have a recipe you can share for HP sauce? I’ve never seen that in any books I’ve looked at and we love HP sauce. Thanks

This is the one I used. I actually forgot to add the juice concentrates (added more brown sugar instead) and it still tastes fantastic. conditus.blogspot.com/2012/07/make-authentic-home-made-hp-sauce.html. I also have a video where I made it from start to finish. 😃

Hi. Try switching the vinegar in your salsa with lemon or lime juice. It has a much better flavor
