If you are going to recommend the fuel treatment product called Heet you have to use the type in the yellow bottle not the red. The yellow Heet contains methanol. The red Heet contains isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.
Very clear and concise instructions. I have made several "penny" stoves but I like my Trangia. Heet is for automotive fuel tanks and fuel lines. It mixes with the fuel to help it remove water.
Great stuff! If I was using a stove like this in the outdoors I'd probably dig a small hole or trench to sit it in. That would protect the flames from wind and hopefully minimize any potential spillages. Thanks!

I've heard of heat, but haven't seen it here in the UK. Meths on the other hand are super easy to find, so I normally just use that.

In my experience you only need to make sure you've got a cleared and level patch a foot or two in diameter.
