    One of the philanthropist from India Sir Ratan Naval Tata is the biggest international donor to Cornell university ( 50 million dollars )

    The second claim is false or needs at least to be contextualized in the American universities panorama. Verily, the first university to teach far eastern languages was the "Orientale" in Naples, Italy when in 1732 after the Catholic missionary Matteo Ripa came back from China he started a religious centre for Chinese evangelization lately called "College of Chinese" and Chinese was taught over there. At the time Cornell was not even found yet, just like the majority of American universities.
