I’ve been using outdoor plant hangers with mini bungee cords and clothespins for many years with my domestic machine. This improvised setup has worked very well for me with king sized quilts.
@@GayleHallAZ what a great idea! I came here to find out why on earth Martelli did not leave the opening cut out from their quilting hoops. Bernina has the cut out so you don’t have to lift the needle bar plus you can add the hoop in the middle of stitching, unlike the Martelli. But I picked up a great new idea from you!
I've had mine for about a year (?) so not quite new but yes, you don't see much on it although it's a great product and makes a huge difference when quilting on a domestic machine.
I think that is because of a few things: shipping - makes it easier if they don't have to include a long curtain rod and also, as you can attach the clamps anywhere you want (maybe at a table that is next to your sewing table or even further away), you may need a longer rod or larger clips. Just my guess on that.

Is this a new Martelli product? I can’t find any reviews or videos about it other than yours.

Good idea, but why don't they incorporate all products you need? It doesn't make sense to have to go buy a rod, rings, and hooks 🙄
