we got confirmation in sone bonus material in the manga which illusion came from who:
big laios: marcille
cute laios: senshi
creepy laios: chilchuck
scarf chilchuck: laios
babyfaced/bad tools chilchuck: senshi
nice chilchuck: marcille
no helmet hole senshi: laios
wide/bad cooking tools senshi: marcille
handsome senshi: chilchuck
chad/yassified marcille: senshi
braid/bad spellbook marcille: chilchuck
hair down/determined marcille: laios
It's ironic that they were making fun of Laios lack of observation skills, it was his versions of his team mates that were most accurate while their versions of him were the obviously fake, one a side note it's kind of sweet that Senshi's perception of Laios and Chillcuck is of defenseless children that need taking care off oh and that he's kind of racist towards elves
Does the "showing your tail'" maybe have something to do with the kitsune from folklore? Since they transform into people to hide their true self, but one might spot them because of their tail? Just a random guess.
EDIT: 16:00 I guess you answered it here 😄
scrolled down just to see if anyone mentioned this. i thought it was funny that they were struggling to think of an animal that disguises themselves as human but shows its tail and never thought of the thing that is on their screen the entire time.
I just realized that when animals mimic humans, the most troublesome part is the tail.
Humans also have ears, claws, fangs, and fur.
However, we don't have a tail.
That's why animals only have their tails left over.
In this way, when the Japanese people of old knew the identity of the other person, I think they coined the sentence ``shippo wo ara washita.''
They dont have it here, but in the manga they showed which shapeshifter was created by who. Laois' were actually pretty accurate to the person.
You two are my favorite dungeon meshi reaction channel so far 😂❤️ just for the ending alone 24:20
Awwwwwwe!!! Thank you so much!
6:02 the cute laios is senshi’s memory of him, since he finds him “feminine” looking for dwarf standards
Oh lol that is hilarious!
Love your reaction! 🥰
Thank you!
Ryoko Kui (the mangaka) has put out a lot of information regarding the series that is not told through the main stories through additional content like adventurer bibles or little extra chapters. In one page she explains whose illusion was created by who.
Big laios: Marcille’s, she was told falin and her brother looked a lot alike so she was surprised when she met laios and he was quite different, so does differences stick to her subconscious.
Dumb laios: Chilchuck’s, ofc
Cute laios: it’s senshi’s since dwarves tend to see tall men as effeminate in comparison to them
Marcille weird face: senshi’s since between dwarves they tend to see elves as quite evil, so those features stuck out.
Marcille with loose hair: it’s laios’, when she let her hair down to revive falin it left a big impression on him, that’s also why she’s much more cold and decided.
The other Marcille: chilchuck, he likes blond hair so that’s what he remembers the most
Handsome senshi: Chilchucks’s perspective since half-lings tend to idolize the masculinity of dwarves quite a bit
Smaller senshi: Marcille’s memory, his stature is what stuck out the most to her
Cute chilchuck: Marcille’s since ofc she sees him like that
Child even cuter chilchuck: senshi still sees him as a small child so those features are even more exaggerated here
Thank you for the detailed response. Maybe we'll check out the adventurer bibles so we can get a little more info on some of the past episodes.
@@junpaireacts7125 they could have spoilers so careful
Ok I'll keep that in mind. Thanks again.
Totally called the ninja showing up! Nice!
Since it is a machine translation, there may be grammar errors.
I'm surprised you know about the Japanese anecdote about foxes and raccoon dogs being able to transform. This is a famous anecdote in Japan.
Thank you! I actually went to an international language school for most of my life so I was exposed to different Japanese stories and sometimes I get an inking of an idea from older memories.
Team frio
super perceptive and personable as always!
Thank you so much!
Any other party probably would have been tpk'd. Ironically, Kabru's party would have been absolutely doomed since his imposters would be near perfect.
Laios' imposter Marcille is probably the best. She's just too serious and competent, when the real one is kind of petty and clumsy.
Marcille's Chilchuck is way too nice and trusting, like a child. Chilchuck's Senshi is too charming and people focused, like someone who lectures a divorcee father of three about the birds and the bees.
We loved that chilchuck and lios just agreed that senshi is cool 😂
very nice eps cant wait for next one!
Thank you!
I grew up in a predominantly Black community - I suppose it would be considered Southern or Appalachian - and I've heard "showing your a**" pretty much most of my life.
At its most basic, it means somebody's made a fool of themselves by pretending to be more knowledgeable than they are.
Honestly doesn't sound too different from the first definition you gave for "show your tail."
Interesting maybe your right.
