Yo? I keep looking at this mod, thinking it's really cool but not doing anything with it, I thought it was completely different lol, that's part of what makes these bit by bits so great! I thought it was a mod that made you go from one place to another to make your various deliveries, which would be great for exploration but it's repetitive and difficult enough that the reward had better be absolutely insane, so i never bothered to look into it deeply enough because i couldn't think of a good enough reward that wouldn't upset the pack i was hoping to deliver on XD Edit: two weeks later the dev has now supported automation! Do you know what this means? That's right, there is now, at least on paper, support for using Create Trains to make your deliveries and postage. Can you imagine just setting it up so certain villages in certain biomes have certain loot pools? So you need a train network set up to easily collect everything? I literally saw it on modrinth timestamped like an hour ago and I came right here to nerd out
It'd be really cool to see those for something like special deliveries though! Enchanted weapons and armor, unique items from different village types. Specialized Tools like hammers have to be imported. Make it where it's not things you have to do too often so its not repetitive, but more of an incentive to make a grand journey out there. Exploration for tools and armor as an alternative to grinding
It is great for my modpack where I have stack limit of 1 from a mod. It defaults all villager prices to 1, so I can make the villagers just sell contracts that equate to their trades for stuff that costs more than 1
I would love to see this mod with the ability for multiplayer and having quests that need to be completed for like some iron, gold, diamond, and emeralds
It looks interesting as far as sending proof and receiving rewards go, but the main point of quest mods is to give one time rewards that encourage progression. Sure, most allow for you do it over again, which opens up the possibility of some sort "store", and this mod does basically that but in a more interactive way and requiring you to find orders. So here's the deal: Combining it with traditional questing mods can allow for players to require both finding orders and "activating" them via quest progression and consumption of one time quest rewards. Additionally, you could keep the ability for players to trade most items in a quest-like way, multiple times, but you separate contracts by tiers, with the highest ones only being able to be obtained with rare items and possibly only via one time quest progression. Example: You find an order that allows trading some crafting materials for their result AND and bonus, let's say, 2 redstone. However, a higher tier order will require those exact material, but will reward 10 redstone and a diamond, at the cost of being rarer to find and rewarding considerably less total redstone when you sum all of its uses.
Also it would be cool to have bulletin boards that spawn or can be placed in villages, that villagers interact and put quests there, just like in stardew valley, and that would be much more immersive than to get a contract and do it 300 times over...
I use this with minecraft comes alive ai chat and it's really cool. you type and ask what they have to sell and they''ll come up with some random answer like Oh I'm a shephard I have wool, I'm a cleric I have spider eye. Then you can bargain with them or ask for a trade. Then I use this mod to simulate delivering to each other. in my config i made the manual processing time 1 day so its not cheaty.
I was so excited to try this mod until i realized it's forge only. I really hate that the minecraft mod community split for no real reason but sadly fabric just has more mods now. There is no real reason left to use forge especially when distant horizon and Iris work together while shaders and distant horizons still doesn't work properly on forge.
This seems like it would be neat to pair with custom bountiful quests to make some interesting ways to get items

Man I wish it was requiring you to travel to specific villagers to deliver their packages. I wanted that Death Stranding experience.

this mod would be really helpful for vanilla-style shop quests or importing in factory/tech mods!
Create Above and Beyond has a system similar to this.
I like this mod! It's obviously going to end up in several mods (quest modpacks or not) because it's just so useful!
You make the best Minecraft mod reviews fr

This is a really good mode definitely helpful for other mods.
With some mod on modding I think this could be very good for create modpacks where you can get alot of resource you're not really doing anything with.
You make my day, man.
