When I bought and shot my FNX .45 I immediately sold all my 1911s. No need for a 1911 when you have a FNX. Looking forward to the future videos with this firearm. Stay blessed
FNX-45 was a gun way ahead of its time- still relevant and hangs with all the current much newer guns out there. I have the USP, Mark 23 etc, and for a full size 45 it is really good. I will always have a soft spot for HK USPs, and you absolutely should get one, but just have to realize that it wont come optic ready, and has the proprietary light rail. FYI that you can take a Streamlight TLR-1, and use a dremel to slightly adjust the inside of the light, and it will then fit the proprietary USP rail. Langdon now does optic cuts to USPs. So between those two you can get a modernized optic ready USP, but it will cost you a lot more than the FNX-45. Great gun, and you did the right thing going with the FDE model! ;-)

You might want to put some thread tape on the suppressor threads when you screw on the thread protector. I lost my first one when it loosened up after a few boxes of ammo.
Can’t go wrong with the FNX. I have that one as well as the FN545. IMHO the 545 feels better in hands comfort wise and the shootability. Great gun tho and you will love it 💯 BOOMIN

The SA trigger, like all DA/SA, has a lot of slop, but once it hits the wall has a decent enough let off. It's nowhere like my tuned Les Baer or Ed Brown 1911s, but it's livable. You just cannot argue wirh 15 rounds of .45 auto. Perf3ct outdoor pistol for camling, hiking, or exploring deep spooky places with a Streamlight TLR-1 1,000 lumen light mounted underneath. Perf3ct companion to my FN SCAR 17 as my SHTF load out.
I need woods gun and the FNX Tac fits the bill. I love the double/single action option and the capacity. Furthermore, Rowland has a 460R conversion that makes it shoot like a 15rd mid-powered 44mag. I have shot the 460R from a 1911 and it thumps noticeably more than a 10mm, without much more recoil; but that is compensated……plus, you can still shoot 45acp. If you load your own ammo, 460R costs the same as 45acp.

I have the same FNX 45T in FDE with a X300 and a 508T on my dresser. Still don’t have a can but I wanted a high capacity 45 cal for the house bc it suppresses well. I considered the HK 45T but 15 rounds, hammer fired and an Apex baseplate that gives me 2 more rounds made this a no brainer.

The FNX 45 is my nightstand gun. Unfortunately it's the black sku. It's the only gun I can't shoot with my wedding band so I had to switch to a silicone ring.

I chose it because I’ve heard the triggers can be lacking on the 545 AND the fnx45…. But there’s awesome aftermarket triggers for the 509 that will undoubtedly be on the 545 market soon. I generally just prefer striker fired guns, and also I wanted the higher capacity.. the highest of any 45, I believe. The 509 trigger is horrible and it turned out the 545 stepped it up and the trigger is actually decent. I run with an Osprey 45 and it’s quiet and runs FLAWLESS. It runs better suppressed than it did before. I’ve never had a single malfunction after maybe 3,000 rounds.. but it’s a lot softer shooting and I can tell a slight bump in accuracy with the can. I think you picked well and either 45 FN Tac are the best in class. 👌
I want this gun bad it’s on my list I think you made the best pick when I doing comparisons against it I kept ending up right back at the same conclusion overall great deal for the price. honestly it’s the only .45 I want besides a 1911. Loved everything about this gun EXCEPT the horrendous trigger (and nobody offered an aftermarket trigger upgrade). Finally decided it cost way too much money for me to be that unhappy with the trigger. Sold it and bought a true 1911.
They do come with 5 mags just gotta find the sale / package on em homeboy paid 1100 for a 5 mag black fnx45 had the yellow band with black lettering saying 5 mags

If I had to pick a RATTLER or Spear I am picking Spear in 5.56 as the ammo is cheaper and you can train more with it. With 300BLk it is a little more expensive and also you want a can. Between Rattler LT or Canebrake, I am going with LT because they will be releasing a handguard for the LT in which it will be basically a Rattler LT Canebrake. They have images of it already, they just aint drop it yet, I get the purpose of the canebrake because of the extended rail. But like I said the LT will get that treatment soon.

I've shot thousands of rounds through my FNX .45 and have had one stove pipe.

Nothing shoots as smooth as MK23. Just picked up the FN510 and it’s a tack driver accuracy blew me away so highly recommend.

Plus I got the 509t so it was just more comfortable and already familiar
