THANK YOU for this review - i'm so sick of 'reviews' of oracle/tarot cards to only be an unboxing and flipthrough from a lot of people who (and forgive me for sounding brutal here) seem to collect these things as impulse purchases for their hoard because shiny, rather selecting a tool they wish to use on a regular basis. if i want a review i want a REVEW from someone who has actually sat with it a while and used it and get their thoughts and opinions on working with the deck - not first impressions from opening a box. Thank you for filling this gaping gap in the area! I'm not a collector, so I want to make sure that the decks I add to my toolkit are the right ones for the job and not falling for the 'ooh shiny' magpie effect.

JUST YES!!! I resonate so deeply with your ENTIRE comment. It is my absolute pleasure to create reviews when I feel called to that fill this gap in RUclips Land. Thank you so much for letting me know that you find them helpful as well! - I am 100% in camp UNBOXINGS ARE NOT REVIEWS. & I enjoy first impressions from time to time but don't call it a review if you've haven't even used it yet.

Nice review ☺I love oracles and I have the Work your light and Starseed oracles from Rebecca, and I have Moonchild and Starchild Tarot from Danielle. but I just don't connect with neither of these decks...both seems too disconnected, although I can understand why you connect with the Ocean dreams more...but then, I see the Mermaid card and I'm just...how do I interpret this? and I am pretty intuitive and always get something from the cards but...at least Rebecca's has some keywords, although they don't connect with the image either...so...I'm gonna pass on these...at this point it seems they are doing this just to sell something

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience! I can certainly relate to what you are saying about card image vs keywords. I have had similar difficulties with other decks from both perspectives. With the ocean dreams, it is certainly one of those decks where you benefit from reading the guidebook meaning and pulling from what you remember as you read intuitively. Having extra keywords is certainly helpful.

Thank you for this! I wasn't sure if I wasn't missing out on the Healing Waters Oracle. The artwork is pretty, but the guidebook needs to be good too for me to buy a deck. The Ocean Dream Oracle is one of my favorite oracles! I subscribed!

As I was watching your video I felt as though The Healing Waters deck felt more like an air element deck. Maybe that just me tho. Also I have a couple of cool decks that have that velvet feeling to them. I don’t use them as much as I like to because I find them hard to shuffle. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Mmm yes, air. That makes total sense as Air is all about the mind. Glad it's not just me 😆 I am 100% there with you all the velvet feel, it's a giant pain to shuffle so I do find I don't reach for them as much!

Thanks for your honest review. I have stopped buying Rebecca’s Campbell decks after the Rose Oracle, to me it felt SO similar to her WYL & Starseed Oracle and it felt off, almost like rushed and this one feels the same (and I’m sure her new Ancient Stones is the same). Thanks for expressing your honest opinion, it takes courage to do that nowadays when people are so eager to jump at your throat if you don’t have the same opinion as them.

I am so happy you appreciated the review & thank you so much for your comments. Honesty is one of my core values so it means a lot 💖 I can certainly relate to what you are saying about the decks. The Rose oracle did grow on me but the newer decks certainly have an off feel, although I am not sure where the disconnect comes from. Much love to you!

@@leannealigned I am glad you kept your integrity, it’s really important. And I feel the disconnect you feel comes from your empathetic nature, you “feel” that something is maybe lacking integrity and wasn’t done with good intents, that’s how I felt with the Rose Oracle, I opened it and found it very cute, put it aside and opened it again the day after and I was like Hold on, something doesn’t feel right, I couldn’t explain it until I looked at my other decks. You have an empathetic gift, you have integrity and the courage to keep it and I’m really admirative. Much love to you too ♥️

I really appreciate this comparison. I have and LOVE the Ocean Dreams. To me, it was interesting that after Danielle created her deck, a year later Rebecca came out with her water deck. I feel like I have a bias over the artwork, as I am a massive fan of Danielle's artwork, and for me, the new artist that Rebecca is working with does not resonate with me. And it's not that the art isn't nice to look at. I found that with the rose oracle, I am relying so much on the keywords and what I had read from the guidebook because there was not a lot to intuitively spark with the images (even though it is pretty to look at). I love the crisp layers that Danielle creates that give such depth to the cards and often get more of a reading just from the art before looking at the words and guidebook that accompany it. I was feeling so bleh after getting the Rose oracle, I did not bother to purchase the water deck. I may in the future, but I think I would rather search for the perfect watery, mermaid tarot to go with Ocean Dreams.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! 💖 I resonated with a lot of what you were sharing about the decks & creators. If you do find a dreamy mermaid tarot definitely let me know, as I have been on the hunt for one as well.

I have the whispers of the ocean oracle cards, by Angela Hartfield, The Oracle of the Mermaids, by Lucy Cavendish and Messages from the Mermaids, by Karen Kay. They are all wonderful, they provide a very deep reading whether tarot spreads or alone. I first bought Whispers of the Ocean and then the mermaid ones, each in a different year. They were very important with accurate messages for several of my clients and myself. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend them! They collectively or individually can match this Ocean Dreams deck.

Thank you for your honest review. While I understand Rebeccas message, where she was at in that moment in her life I felt like the deck was created for HER, which is amazing. I almost felt like my messages were part of her experience if that makes sense. Which wow how powerful, but not for me. Like your thoughts I was feeling like some of the imagery did not resonate with the message. I have not worked with Ocean Dreams. I am very curious.

Mmmm yes! So well said Tanya! It certainly came across as a personal deck. Which again, amazing! But didn't end up translating well. Thank you so much for sharing your similar feelings with the imagery. I always aim to be honest in my reviews so I am happy to hear that you appreciate them 💖

I have both decks wouldn’t cross my mind to strike comparisons, they’re both unique and beautiful and work in different ways.
Feels a bit like comparing crystals. You’re going to connect with a crystal in different ways at different times for different needs, but doesn’t make one inferior, just less in resonance to you personally.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences with these decks. I can certainly see where you are coming from and I love your comparison to working with crystals.
I think that is the point of most reviews, to share our thoughts behind our experience of the degrees of personal resonance. In the hopes of aiding others in the process of discernment as to what might resonate with them. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to ponder this topic in this way. Much love to you! -Leanne
