    They underutilized Ron, he was a great character.

      It WAS in the episode. And Toby has previously stated that he'll find ANY reason to criticize JUST ABOUT anybody that exists.

      I thought that was going to be about Bonnie the bear from the wolf-highway people.

    The Secret Service scene was in an episode, but not this particular take.

    So glad that Charlie/Zoe scene got cut. I hate that "say you're sorry" bit

      ScorpiousDelectus agreed. That whole sequence just makes her sound like an awful person. It also makes their relationship sound unhealthy and unbalanced in her favor. I’m amazed it even got filmed.

      It also makes it seem like Charlie is astonished at the idea of pluralism.

      She's not actually being mean, though. She's just savvy in her description of relationships she has observed. It's cultural commentary, not a manipulative relationship.
      Still, the optics are bad, and I can see why they cut it.

      It's so clearly a "man writing about women" scene.

      Honestly I have no respect for anyone who actually behaves like that. Cold shoulders, one sided arguments or apologies. If you're gonna treat me like a child I won't give you the respect befitting an adult. Grown ups communicate

    If the argument between Charlie and Zoey was meant as an allusion to the work of Charles Murray then I'm very impressed with how it was written.

      When the episode was filmed (pre-May 2000) the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration reported directly to the President of the United States.

      he felt he deserved a pay raise on the show and I think that fact in real life he is a republican in real life probably didnt encourage him to stay. He probably couldn’t take the republican jokes or something lmao Josh Malina definitely did Will Bailey justice as a character though

    • @ajvanmarle
      @ajvanmarle 3 года назад +4

      @@angelina_jay The problem was that he felt deceived. The show, as originally pitched, had him as the central character. Instead, it became and ensemble play and his character became increaingly irrelevant. he had a oint. This was not what he signed up for.
