I just have to say thank you so much. I watched this clip months ago and to this day I still take moments to say "it's pandemic time. You need to cut yourself a break" only because of this video. That's made a world of difference to me. Also you're brilliant and hilarious and I'm so glad I found you! Please keep it up. The world needs more of your magic.
I’m a Brit and I’ve only seen clips, but Lilly Singh got her own show on TV and she hasn't got one percent of the intelligence and talent Julie Nolke has. This humour is clever, victimless (unless you’re a news reader and weather person who had a threesome with a neurotic husband with a baby fetish) and most of all very funny.
I am so in love with mirror Julie. This is an older video, but it Rocks. I never saw it until October-28-2023. Thanks, Julie Nolke. You Rock and Everybody knows it.
Seriously want to thank you for that advice. I'm lucky enough to still have my full time job, and I'm going to school full time as well. Dealing with covid and the elections is getting to be too much. Also just had my first wedding anniversary in September. Sometimes it feels like I'm taking on more than I can handle. That bit of advice helped me realize that it's ok to not be perfect all the time and just enjoy being alive. So thank you.
I just read what you wrote for a comment and well said! I just starting watching Jukie like 3 months or so ago..She is Canadian and so talrnted and funny, etc. I have used this pandemic time home alone and started 2 youtube channels myself

I'm so glad I found this channel. She is so great. Here comedic timing. Her voices faces everything is so spot on. Comedy Central or one of the networks needs to pick her up and give her a chance to do a show. I think it would blow. I mean come on has anyone scene comedy Central lately. This is way better. Just my opinion.

My head-cannon about what the mirror being is: it's an omnipotent being controlling every aspect of another universe, where it is completely alone, and has been for literal infinity. Because it's omnipotent, it's incredibly bored. Everything it creates in its own universe is like playing with dolls or monopoly money. Some time in the past, wizards tried to contact it and bargain with it for power by creating magic mirrors that are portals to the universe where it is omnipotent. This bargaining failed, however, because it has zero interest in conquering our universe. What would it gain? More dolls? More monopoly money? The being ignored the wizards' request to become its servant as it conquered our universe. Instead, it took the form of the wizard and started giving him snarky advice on how to live. The creature's true form is one of unspeakable horror like something out of Lovecraft and Birdbox combined. One look is enough to immediately drive a human insane. Insane people are boring, so it takes the form of whoever is looking in the mirror. The creature is naturally immune to alcohol, being completely indestructible. It can, however, use its omnipotence to repress this immunity. It does this a lot, as being drunk off its ass helps with its eternal boredom. Unfortunately, it can only get moderately drunk before that breaks the concentration needed to repress its invulnerability to alcohol, and it instantly becomes sober again. So it's life is a constant cycle of repress alcohol-immunity, get drunk, become so drunk it stops repressing its invulnerability, instantly become sober, use its omnipotence to repress its immunity AGAIN, get drunk AGAIN, rinse and repeat literally forever. All the while it gives advice to the tiny mortals who talk to it through the magic mirror, like some cross between Horton Hears a Who and a life-coach.
