Praying for wisdom...I've been in a debate with a friend for months now, who is telling me all of Matthew 24 was fulfilled in 70 AD. I'm reading a book he suggested; "Matthew 24 Fulfilled" by John Bray. It disparaged and belittles our view. The view that much of Matthew 24 is still future prophecy. I wish I were an expert on the subject. Now I'm excited that one day we'll know everything!!!!

Should I have known better not to offer my services as a deacon in a church that is more concerned with maintaining man's traditions and the doctrine of the church rather than believing that Christian integrity would lead these people into the inspired Word of God. I am like you, truth at all costs...and I get pummeled for it. Fiery darts always coming from every direction of the compass.
Hard to say for sure, brother. In general, I always suggest looking for a better church, but sometimes they are not available, at least not within a reasonable drive.
In a way it’s the same way it was in Jerusalem way back then 1960 years ago,

All I can say is wow. I never understood this, and just passed through it. I always thought those great teachers will continue to be great teachers in the kingdom of God. But now, you showed us how we should all be humble not be proud of having that special knowledge. Again thank you. I listened to it again and again.

I suspect there will be one heavenly language common to all, but I also suspect that every tongue ever spoken will be spoken in New Jerusalem. It will be the most cosmopolitan city in the universe.

I see the clock in the background is set at 2 minutes to midnight. Symbolic of what time it is in relationship to the rapture? It’s exciting to think we will have unlimited knowledge. I hope we don’t have a classroom life review and what we should have done. We are in a fallen world in a fallen state of conflict duality. The only remedy is unity in Christ and as Paul said, leave behind the things of the past and look forward to the future.

The Bride is composed of every born again Christian on the planet, regardless of their problems or weaknesses, even if they are backslidden. If you are born again, you will be going up in the rapture.

Not all of us are called to formal ministry or formal evangelism. Only a small minority in christendom has that calling.
Some are called to be watchmen, or assistants in the church, or financiers or caregivers. Anything you do do unto the Lord.
That "change in the twinkling of an eye" will remove that shame❤❤❤
Verse 39 is referring to old testament and verse 40 is referring to NT. I hope this helps. Also remember, verses 32-59, Jesus is speaking to the Jews, not Gentiles.

The first thought I get when I listen to this Lee, is calvinism. Almost all calvinists are filled with pride of having discovered something what ordinary non calvinist Christians do not understand. There is a pride, superiority i see in different denominations as well where tradition is shadowing truth.
The first thing that gets cancelled is Love.
Feith, Hope and Love, but the biggest is Love.
I do rather think these Arminians are much more boastful because THEY think they can save themselves by their own will! (compare John 1:13) 🙏❤️

Do you notice in verse 39 Jesus Says raise IT Up and verse 40 He Says raise HIM up?
We will see Jesus IN the clouds. The Jews will see Jesus coming to earth with His saints. And that's when the jews will confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior and receive eternal life.
It simply menas that when someone believe in Jesus and accept the atonement made ny Jesus in The Cross for this someone's sins, He IS SAVED FOREVER, meaning: Once saved ALWAYS SAVED. No one is able to take this "someone" from Jesus hands. He has SECURED Eternal Salvation.
You say we’ll never be tempted again , wasn’t Adam and Eve in perfect Spiritual bodies where the spirit dominated the body?
It is wonderful to have full perfect knowledge and no longer have this corrupted body. Would this be after the millennial reign of Christ? I understand there will be a final rebellion after the thousand years.

We will be changed at the RAPTURE so we will already be ready to reign with Christ all the way through the Millenium. The natural humans during that time will die and resurrect THEN too, the last living saints (after the last battle with Satan) will be changed again. That's how I do understand it. The church will enter in to this blessing at the rapture. The kingdom saints at the second coming. But some during the kingdom will reject the blessing in their heart.

QUESTION LEE:
In revelation 3:12, Jesus says we will be pillars in Gods kingdom and WILL GO OUT NO MORE.
How can we come back to rule and reign with Christ when we never leave The New Jerusalem ever?🤔🧐
I believe those saints that come back to rule and reign with Christ are the trib saints.
Also, we will be in glorified bodies and the millennium kingdom will be populated with sinner's.
The church is the bride of Christ. She can't be separated from Christ. Being pillars in the spiritual temple doesn't preclude us from leaving New Jerusalem.

@@beth6795 This applies to fellowship, not a limited physical sphere. We are also heirs of God and coheirs of Christ. We would never get to see the universe that we inherit. Moreover, we wouldn't even get to explore New Jerusalem.

Ultimately, being a Christian is being a Bible believer. One who does not compromise the perfect Word of God for the fallible imaginations of man. It’s Scripture above all, which is why I associate myself as an Orthodox. Don’t get me wrong, whether Orthodox, Catholic, or Protestant-we are all brothers in Christ as long as we truly believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. However beloved, Orthodoxy is the purest and holiest expression of our shared faith, being the most obedient to the Holy Bible. So, although I call myself Orthodox, above all, I am a Christian. And the Orthodox world certainly needs another ecumenical council to once more finalize the finishing touches on Biblical doctrines to uphold or withdraw. Now, in terms of maintaining the Apostolic commandments (ordinances/traditions), Orthodoxy is ahead of the game, but other dogmas need refinement. One is baby baptism. Water baptism is an absolute necessity according to Scripture for one to repent to be born-again…but, at what age? Jesus was consecrated in the Temple of God as a child, so it’s understandable doctrinally for infants to be immersed in holy water, however, keep in mind that Jesus was baptized by John during His adulthood to receive the Holy Spirit. Thus, I think baptism should more properly be conducted during the general age of maturity for one to consciously and willingly repent to be saved. Also, of course, the doctrine of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. No matter how you slice it, the Bible teaches a Rapture which can only occur before the coming Tribulation. Saint Paul communicates this crystal clearly throughout Scripture. And finally, the scourge of replacement theology-which is blown out of the water by the Apostle Paul. Therefore fellow brethren, we must strive to be the absolute best students of the Bible as possible. Yearning to understand sound Biblical eschatology, while keeping the God-ordained Apostolic (Orthodox) traditions of the Church. Thus, an obedient Christian is a well-rounded Christian, which means balancing teaching with worship and prayer. Beloved, what really helps me exercise Spirit-led discernment is reading through the Scriptures, especially Paul’s Epistles, slowly and very carefully which prevents glossing over verses. I hope this was edifying, and God bless you abundantly in your continued pursuit of Biblical truth. Amen.

Nowhere in John 3 or John 20 is water baptism a necessity. Jesus and John makes it clear in those chapters as well as John 1:12-13.

Is it wrong of me to not look forward to my ‘life review’ in Heaven? I have followed Christ since I can remember. Living my life the best I can for Him. Flaws and all. I have yearned for Heaven for decades. But I can’t help but dread the life review. Because after all this turmoil and pain and struggle and exhaustion on earth- I’ll FINALLY be lifted to eternal peace. But when I finally get there, my whole filthy sinful past will all be rehashed right in front of me. 😢. I thought that Christ will throw our sins as far as the East is from the West and He’ll ‘remember them no more’. But when I finally experience the peace I’ve longed for my whole life- here comes the rehashing of my mistakes. Not looking forward to that. Please correct me if I’m wrong in my interpretation- because I hope I am wrong.
At the judgment seat of Christ, we are judged for how we built on the foundation of Christ, that is, how we built from the moment of salvation. Everything done in the body, both good and bad, from the point of salvation will be placed in the fire, will be burned up, will be forgotten. Many of us feel ashamed for mistakes we made. But the Lord will not be out to shame us. Ultimately, most of us are going to fare far better than our fears because we are going to be judged and rewarded by the same magnanimous grace that saved us in the first place. He knows our frame, that we are made of dust.

Brother Brainard dont mean to be a know it all but 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day (our gathering to Him / the harpazo; the beginning of the Great and Terrible Day 9of the Lord) will NOT come unless (until) the falling away comes first, AND the man of [b]sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits [c]as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Brother this doesn't take any fancy exegesis. It makes the debate about Darby and Scofield virtually pointless. As intended , it's plain. No antichrist revealed... no rapture... yet.I don't believe our Lord intended these things to be complex or for us to have to debate these things for years on end. There are numerous other supporting scriptures that align to this one, but this one is so plain that one shouldn't be able to miss it. Bless anyhow.
"THAT DAY" is referring to The Great Day of The Lord which is a name for The Tribulation, and NOT a reference to The Harpazo or Rapture. The Thesalonians were being told that they missed The Rapture and that THEY WERE ALREADY living in The Tribulation, THE GREAT DAY OF THE LORD. Paul is explaining to them WHY this is not true.
