Happy Monday guys! Can't believe we are now in the first week of April! We are playing a bit of catch up with our older videos, but we should be driving the new Bronco Raptor later this summer. We are also going to finally be driving the upcoming F-150 Lightning next month. Hope you all had a great weekend!
Cool video! The Bronco Raptor should be a fun time. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. Also waiting on more updates about your Mach-E GT PE. Mine is finally built as of today so I'm still trying to live vicariously through you guys!
Q. The Ford Website says it "provides electronically locked power to both axles in challenging conditions..." however it doesn't specify center diff or if they use an open diff and some other control system like antilock brake manipulation. Do you have any clue? You said it has locking front and rear diff's, what about the center?
Sofyan I’ve been a fan of the channel for years. This is the first time I’ve noticed an inconsistency with your review. In your latest Wrangler 4xe video you said when closing the door it had a nice sounding thunk. When reviewing the Bronco you said it’s door didn’t have a solid sounding thunk but the Wrangler doesn’t either. Your motto is all about the thunk. I’m surprised with the inconsistency. I’m still a fan and will continue to watch and support.

I work at the plant that builds these, we have tons of them built that aren't ready to deliver due to chip shortage and other part shortages. So we keep building them to sit on lots to await final completion. There's thousands of these at around 95% ready to deliver, so as parts come they finish and ship. But the plant is working hard to get them out to people. #MAP
TKS bj. We received ours on valentine, blend day 1-3-22 wifey is very happy,3kms so far waited for nearly 2yrs. 4dr BL sqs lux . TKS again 🇺🇸
I’ve heard from a dealer that Ford is having trouble with mice and rats eating wiring as they sit in fields. I have one on order but thinking about passing due to this issue, cars sitting for a long time before shipping, and shipping without certain features due to chip shortage all the while paying for full functionality.
Do you know if you will end up shipping out the Broncos without the chips?
Im waiting for mine!
Hey question for you. Who supplies the chips for the ford cars?
The biggest flaw with the new Bronco is the gouging dealer network....
Just gotta give it time and hope people are reporting those dealers. Most dealers said if they find out they will have serious ramifications. Don't know how true that is though as far as dealers being reprimanded.
@@danhex As a resident of south Florida, the behavior here is disgusting. I will never buy a Ford here. Example: 2022 Bronco Sport, MSRP plus, $5000 market adjustment, plus $1500 "additional equipment" charge, plus $999 dealer fee., plua their document fee and advertising fee (I don't remember the numbers). Simple greed. Other dealers, brands, similiar behavior.
@@sflscott11 it's outright disgusting what they are doing. I understand sticking to msrp because of low inventory but the price gauging is horrendous
And the fuel economy.
this is such a cool truck, but the MPGs suck.

The Wildtrack does NOT have the sway bar disconnect. Only the Badlands has that feature. The wild track is more of the BAJA model.
With HOSS 3.0 let’s roll.
He noticed that he does not have the sway bar disconnect in the top row by the diff locks and he still mentions it like the car has it 🤦🏻♂️
Let me just say you have awesome taste in music- who else peeped that classic Luda lol. Great review, as always!
Always been a fan of the Bronco, such an iconic car
This is exactly my build - Day One order, took delivery March 28, 2022 - only mine is black and I opted for the rubber floor mats … 1300 miles so far and I am Fn loving it!! Lots of folks have dislike for the WT but unless you have to have the disco (which I don’t need) it’s the way to go! Can’t say enough good about it.
how long did you wait for your Bronco?
@@swansong04 I finally got through two hours after the release in July of 2020 and placed the reservation. Ordered the Bronco once in October (in Antimatter Blue) and then - unless I went with the soft top - got the news that because of the Lux/Sas/2.7/Hard Top it would be a 2022 MY so I had to switch colors . . . briefly thought about A51 but landed on the all-black look (which I am very pleased with) . . . Took delivery on March 28th . . . @20 months.
@@toddgregory897 wow ! Thanks for the info. I guess I have a long wait ahead. Ordered our white lux package with hardtop and hoss 3.0 package at the beginning of January. Crickets from the dealer. Haha.
@@swansong04 Oh you never know. I think now - with no more orders being accepted this year - they are getting them out a bit quicker. I knew - with Covid and the associated (on-going) chip issues that it was going to be a while and just rolled with it . . . and thus far it has been well worth the wait!! My one an d only complaint is that I need to plan an extra 15-ish minutes each time I get fuel or park in a busy lot because people want to ask questions and look it over . . . which is fine with me!! Loving it. Good luck to you.
I got the 2022 cyber orange wildtrack Lux package 2 door and that thing is awesome to drive the 2 door imo feels like it will take off in sport mode I love it . But your right I actually like the wildtrack better then any other package even if it doesn’t have disconnects and also we can upgrade to hoss 3.0
Love your reviews. Stay awesome
He is among the best.
Another great video thanks
Song choice that came up in the Bronco is spot on .🤣🤣🤣
Great video. No sway bar disconnect on the Wildtrack model however.
Love my Bronco!
Excellent music choice, expecially in this vehicle lol
Mine is finally (hopefully🤞🏻) shipping in the next couple weeks. I ordered in the first month the order banks were open. It’s been a looong two years+two months!! Haha
I saw one while driving and said, damn, that new land rover is nice.
A Hybrid of the Bronco would be one of the greatest vehicles made. Getting something like 35mpg in something like this? Being able to zip around town on full electric maybe and not feel terrible about it? Yes Please.
They already kinda tarnished the Mustangs legacy with the Mach E… please don’t do this to the Bronco
@@SwagMaster824 I mean, its just an option. They should definitely keep ICE only versions for the overlanders and the like. But if we're being honest, Almost every Bronco is spending a large majority of its time on the pavement, even if you take it out every weekend.
Furthermore, a hybrid version or especially full electric would be far faster and less likely to roll.
The truth is if we keep buying trucks with 14 mpg, then there arent really going to be outdoors to enjoy. So if we can find a place between where we can get great vehicles like this and being able to drive them responsibly, without throwing a tantrum about something as silly as a name, then we'd all be better off.
@@jensendkmg7209 nothing wrong with a hybrid drive train.

Nooo, no one thinks it's a Wrangler.... But I do really appreciate your reviews, and great comparisons with the Wrangler
Except maybe the visually impaired…
The Wildtrak is awesome looking. Just the right size vs the Raptor that looks cartoonish. I'd get the bright red color and two door version.
I agree... I ordered my WildTrak last month when order banks reopen for 24 hours... I ordered it in eruption green. Hopefully I don't have to wait more than 6 months lol
I want aware that the Wildtrack has the staybar disconnect. That was the deciding factor when I ordered my '24 Badlands Sasquatch. I like that the Wildtrack has the HOSS 3.0 steering rack and suspension. The Badlands has the 2.0 steering rack and suspension
As a daily driver would you pick the 2.3l with manual trans or 2.7l with auto? My current daily is a jeep gladiator with the manual. I love how fun it is with the stick but it's so slow and feels dead in the low rpms compared to my previous car, a Camaro SS. I'm looking at ordering a bronco in 2 years and can't decide between the two power trains. I'm okay giving up the manual to get something a few seconds faster 0-60 than the gladiator. I know the purpose of these vehicles is not the 0-60 times but as a daily driver I do occasionally like to have some fun in a straight line on an open road
What's with the cheap plastic comments. My luxury Chevy Suburban has plastic in it. Keep in mind the Bronco is meant to get wet and to hose out if you have the drains in the bottom of your floor like my Badlands. You don't want anything in there fancy that's going to get wet and ruined. Especially if it rains when you have your top off and doors. Unless you're just one of those that's going to just drive it down the street and never off road. I highly recommend it. The Bronco with the sasquatch pkg is awesome!!!
I don't believe the Wildtrak has the sway bar disconnect as you suggested. Unless they changed up the features / options, but I don't think so. Only the Badlands has sway bar disconnect.
Nah. The Wildtrak has it standard.
Ive noticed a BIG difference between the Wildtrak trim and the other trims no one is talking about. The Wildtrak has the TIGHT all black wheels but the other trims have the metal silver beaded lock rings. The all black looks so much better IMO
What do you mean by “tight” wheels? All wheels are supposed to be snug against the tyres.

I really like it! The interior for the price could be a little nicer. I think Chevy missed a huge opportunity with the Trailblazer to do something special. With cost of gas i can’t think about something like this though
What does the pricing of a state of matter have to do with restriction on your mental capacity for American all terrain sports utility vehicles?
I have a 2023 Ford Bronco wildtrack with Sasquatch package. It does not include sway bar disconnect and you mentioned in your video that your 2022 does come with a sway bar disconnect. Can one be added on to the 23, and can a rock crawl be added onto the goat mode?
Wow! It's Strong.
I seriously hope Ford makes a hybrid and a PHEV version of the Bronco. I would buy one immediately! On a side note, GM was incredibly short sighted to waste the Blazer and Trailblazer nameplates on two mediocre crossovers. They could've had both a Bronco/Wrangler (Blazer) & a Bronco Sport/Cherokee (Trailblazer) competitors printing money for them rn....
Agree 100%. I've had one reserved for a while now but haven't wanted to pull the trigger because I would want a PHEV version. They are going to have to come out with one soon though to compete with Jeep's 4xe.
I’d compare the Wildtrak to the Mojave and the Badlands (with Sasquatch package) to the Rubicon.
I don't like the idea of "packages" tripling the base price of the vehicle, brings it into a whole new arena of competition at 60k. I think maybe Dodge started this trend with the Hellcats?
1:43 I can argue the numbers when I look in the engine bay of my 4XE and it looks several times cleaner than that while putting out more power and being far more complex.
Would you be reviewing a Rivian RT1?
Rubicon killer??? Not quite, but it is nice. I don't understand why reviewers want the JL to be something it is not. If you want a refined on-road vehicle with bonafide offroad chops, buy a Grand Cherokee. The Wrangler makes no apologies for how well it does offroad.
Too bad the Broncos have $20K markups on it.
For 60k I’ll keep my Mojave Gladiator
@@lukecoble57 indeed. I think car reviewers do a disservice to the Gladiator Mojave. Jeep did a lot of tricks to make it ride and handle better than then Rubicon. I was shocked by how well it rode over my JLU Rubicon ED.
That engine bay looks like an absolute nightmare
Is that intro music from Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed?
No front sway bar disconnect on the wildtrak. that is only available on 1st edition and badlands series.
I know Micah Muzio moved the keypad from the door to inside the fuel door because it was just stuck on with adhesive
Hard top vs soft top ?

Meanwhile General Motors is still sleeping
Yes, that engine does not look like it came from a large auto-manufacturer. More like put together in someone's garage. I like Ford's though (have excellent experience w/ the brand) and this Bronco seems interesting.
no no no no need for an engine cover...the hood is the engine cover....LOL
Get wild in a Ford Bronco Wildtrak
I like the fact that there is another offroad vehicle to compete with jeep. I like my wrangler alot better had both sold bronco and kept the jeep. That said the bronco was nice just like my JLU better.
Will you be reviewing the new Subaru WRX GT??
If you wanna go head to head with the Rubicon then you need the Broncos badland
Is this the hot pepper red color ?
HMM? is this a 2022? I thought the 2022 Wildtrack had no digital display on the HVAC knobs. I'm hoping they do as I am patiently waiting for my Wildtrak with the Lux package and the HOSS 3.0
We just got our ‘22 Wildtrak and they did remove the digital display on the knobs as well as no painted door handles or gloss mirror caps.
@@miked7121 damn that's to bad. kinda a bummer when you buy the top model Bronco.
@@miked7121 yes. Same here. I picked up my Bronco WT on March 28 - no temp on the knobs … but it’s a non factor … they’re on my 21 F150 but I still look at the screen … if that’s the chip sacrifice I’m fine with it!
Nice ride. I hope they deliver a diesel option soon. I believe the steel bumper is not winch ready - choose carefully!
I bought a Benz in December. I should’ve waited 🥺
The Wildtrack is neither the "top" trim level, nor is it designed to compete with the Rubicon. Both the Wildtrack and the Badlands are designed to be the top trim levels, designed for different purposes. The Badlands is meant to compete with the Rubicon, and if mine is any indication, it is more than capable of keeping up. The Wildtrack is more of a Baja, go fast off road design, as opposed to the Badlands that is meant for rougher terrain, at a slower pace.
That F##king Horse!! Lol that's what it sounds like when you say it
Ford dealers here on Long Island are marking them up 20k. Really impressive vehicle
Same here in NH. Raptoe versions are expected to be $90K and up. Insanity.

Which would make someone an idiot for paying extra for the first year. We all know it will have its issues. Like everything else when it comes out. It’s very nice looking though I can’t knock it. I might be the first wrangler owner to admit it. Love my Willy’s edition, but this is nice as well..
Same in Atlanta my friend, no way it can be found for sticker in these parts.
Cmon TOYOTA! Bring back the FJ CRUISER. With the success of the Bronco, it only makes sense.
I think those gauges can be made to look better. I wish manufacturers at least gave option with electric gauges to hav traditional speedometer and tach on each side and a screen in middle. That gauge screen looks asymmetric.
I want to wait for an electrified or a hybrid version of this truck. The way gas prices have been soaring anything else would be ridiculous! Also I want to see if Ford will try to introduce something like the Jeep’s SKY ONE TOUCH roof!!! That would make a perfect SUV!!!!!!!!!
it,s diesel?
Engine cover is called a hood, Lol. Not sure what added value there is to cover the engine inside the engine bay. I really like this vehicle. Nice review
Hoods are something you wear. The metal piece covering the engine of a vehicle is called a bonnet.
@@ManyArmedMooseDei : We're in the U.S. so it's a hood & trunk not a bonnet & a boot. Just like it's a tire not a tyre. And we say 'math' not 'maths' & we say 'mom' not 'mum' etc...Lol

At this price point, Ford could do a lot better with materials quality. I know the Bronco is meant to be rugged and practical, and that's fine, but the price should better reflect the quality. I can see the Raptor being around $60k, but not this wildtrack. This feels like a shameless cash grab, like pretty much all off road capable vehicles these days.
I agree it has ford maverick materials and they want 60k for it lol.
New Drinking game; every time he says "Of Course" you have to take a shot.
Ford did a great job of retro design....as they did with the Mustang years ago. And they have created a worthy Jeep competitor.
I think the Wangler is a more DIY type of vehicle in the long run. The Bronco looks like a disaster under the hood even for the Dealership to even mess with. So my money is with the Wrangler!
I own a Jeep Gladiator. Ford caught Jeep resting on its laurels. The Bronco is superior in almost every way. Hopefully this wakes Jeep up.
Looks like new Lada Niva or at least how Niva should look like
@2:55 who confuses the Bronco with the Jeep? Unless you are a complete stranger to off road vehicles

Another Bronco trim level? This must be the eight one by now.
Actually the Wildtrak trim was available day 1. The new ones are the Raptor and the Everglades. So that makes it ten trim levels total 😂
Looks great just not sure it's worth daily driving I would think wind noise alone would bother most people.

“No Compromise”
*has IFS*
Solid front axle makes for a rough ride. Since most of these cars are used as a daily driver 95% of the time, the IFS makes more sense.
@@TheRocketeerLOL so, a compromise?
If anything is making the compromise, it's the Jeep.
@@Alvinvids How is this a compromise? A Wrangler has a solid front axle which is great offroad and bad on-road OR you can have a Bronco that has a capable IFS which is good offroad and on-road. Therefore, the Bronco is not compromising. The Jeep is the one actually compromising.
Customers for sure won’t be happy with the fuel economy these days 😂😂😂😂👎
If you are buying a vehicle for fuel economy, dont buy a bronco...buy a camry.
Then ‘customers’ should look elsewhere!! The Bronk was not released to be a fuel sipper and the was MPG advertised from the get-go … I’ve been right on 18 with my WT (1300 miles in) with a wide variety of driving / break in … and I’m very pleased.

People that buy Rubicons and such vehicles don't care at all about "On-Road Comfort", it's all about the look and the off-road capability. When I bought my Jeep, on-road comfort never entered my mind. That said, this Bronco looks great! However, I would rather have this Bronco with a high performance electric motor putting out 400+ hp. Rubicon killer??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wait, no center differential? No way! I’m guessing you missed this? Otherwise this is a 2 wheel drive vehicle like all other Ford, Chevy and Dodge/Ram trucks and vehicles. Without a center diff, if your front wheels get on ice, your power goes to the front wheels and you’re stuck.
... what? It's true 4wd with a transfer case and both front and rear locking diffs.
Erin, clearly you don’t know what a center differential does. It allows you to drive in 4x4 on pavement by allowing the front and rear axles to be turned at different rates to avoid binding. The center diff lock feature then locks them back together for off-road use. The Bronco does all of this without a center differential by having a transfer case that has a 4 high (locked) and 4 auto (unlocked) mode. Please stop spouting nonsense about things you don’t know anything about. ;)
@@alexs3187 -- Actually, back at ya, LOL! :) Most 4x4 vehicles should have 3 differentials, Front, Center and Rear. All diff's can be open, limited slip, or locked (Yes, I know some like Subaru have viscous or variable clutch diff's). Many like Toyota use the antilock brake system to fake or add the functionality of 4x4 drive at less expense, which is my concern about this Ford. However, as it has "locking front and rear" I was confused. ALL 4x4 vehicles have to have a center diff., however if open, then power is going to go to the wheels (front/rear) with the least resistance, meaning if you get two or rear on ice, you are stuck. If like some all wheel drive vehicles it might be a 60/40 split. Many automatic transmissions like this one have an all wheel drive mode for pavement usage that does the 60/40 split or some variation of limited slip, which as you mention is to avoid binding and tire wear on pavement use. If you put the 4x4 transmission into 4HL or 4LL the center differential is then locked, which is what I assumed when he said "Locking Front and Rear diff's," however you can't take this for granted as most US manufactured pickup's advertise 4x4 on the side yet have an open center diff. Fords web site mentions locking Front and Rear differentials in Sasquatch, Badlands, Wildtrak, Everglades and Raptor versions (www.ford.com/suvs/bronco/models/bronco-badlands/image/electronic-locking-front-and-rear-axle/). I don't say this lightly as I have helped winch many a Ford, Chevy or Ram out of the mud. Fords website mentions a two speed transfer case (above 4HL and 4LL) and does say it "provides electronically locked power to both axles in challenging conditions and can also increase wheel torque for driving over challenging conditions..." but it doesn't actually SAY split and/or locking center differential. This is one of the reasons I found this video, to answer this question as Fords website does not. I "think/assume" that the phrasing means they have either an open, limited slip or 60/40 split for pavement use 4x4, and if you move it to 4HL or 4LL it electronically locks the center differential, however it does not say that on their website. I'm tempted to include your own words about spouting nonsense... but that would be rude. This is a serious question, and if you KNOW the answer and aren't just trolling... please answer it. Fords website and their in-store personnel either do not know or won't say.
@@Erin-Thor lol I know how they work you said previously that Fords don’t have center diffs. This is correct. But now you’re saying they have open center diffs. This is incorrect. Toyota and Land Rover have traditionally used center diffs. Ford and GM have direct drive shafts from the transfer case to the front and rear axles. There is no center differential. When it’s in 4 high or 4 low, it is locked. There is no slip because there is no center differential. Just accept that you don’t know what you’re talking about. The reason F150s and Silverados suck off road is because they usually have open front and rear diffs with no articulation and road tires! Not because you think they have open center differentials. Again, they don’t have center differentials. 🤦♂️
@@alexs3187 -- Troll much? You didn't read my initial comment. Please do.
