I’m amazed there isn’t people here saying “he’s gross for man-splaining” 😂 That entire idea is goofy... I won’t get started on it... but ya, he’s in a no win situation here... Danica is blaming somebody else for the fact she cannot drive these cars... she can drive lots of other cars and karts to be fair... but its like every second race she’s involved in something... and every 3rd is her fault... she was given WAAAAAYYY longer of a chance then anyone else would have been...
She was a legitimate danger that drivers would do their best to avoid... but I guess she definitely found her angle and worked it well for a while... shame she couldn’t actually drive though... I rooted for her hard... you want to see the first in something succeed... especially when they’re an underdog... but man. It was apparent pretty damn quick she couldn’t do this...
this is true for lot's of sports and it's sad, take dirt biking, you gotta run at the front of the pack in every race and be able to do triple back flips and shit before anyone will know your name if you are a guy, but yet a girl just has to be able to throw her leg over the seat and start it and she's got sponsors and a spotlight story done on her, or skate boarding, a guy can do 360 kick flips over 10 ft gaps and go unnoticed, but whats this i see? a girl standing on a skate board and pushing herself around a little bit, omg lets give her a 4 page article in a magazine and blast her face on every energy drink commercial. it's totally unfair. I have no problem with a female getting that kind of attention as long as she EARNED it.
17:20 "Go ahead" Tony is just so fed up and he's gotta be thinking "Shit, you're gonna wreck it anyway, might as well get some entertainment out of it this time".
When I watch theses “accidents” back to back like this, it’s obvious the commentators were instructed to not say anything negative about her! The most common accident she was involved in was a single-vehicle (her) crashing into the wall all by herself.
Dutch Resistance When the paid NASCAR corporate shill says “she was having an incredible run, still on the lead lap in 19th at lap485” , you know that’s bad.
I found it fascinating how she argues with Denny Hamlin on "how to drive"....really....really? You're gonna sit there and spew your verbal diarrhea telling Denny Hamlin that "He's doing it wrong".....the nerve
I get the joke, but that’s actually true! I’m not sure how much it applies to NASCAR, but two moving objects can suck each other closer because of the pressure of the air between them. Iirc, it’s Bernoulli’s Principle, but I might be thinking of something else.
She was always very hard on her car(s). And she never took the time to learn how to control a NASCAR stock car. Those things are nothing like an Indy car, or go cart.
@@Fireheart318 obviously but thats what racing is about... understanding your surroundings and how they can affect you. the nascar i grew up watching was all about bumping and grinding. I don't like denny but I feel for him. Like trying to teach a chicken how to play chess. I take that back... That's rude. Chickens are incredibly smart animals.
Danica's legacy - being the only driver in history to never make a mistake where EVERY problem was the fault of someone else. And whining as she asserted the farce.
True. A lot of the wrecks that got shown looked like they happened because she was having problems controlling her car. It was as though she was thinking she could throw it around like an Indy car and expect it to stick, not realizing that a NASCAR car is much heavier, looser, and less aerodynamic. The really sad part is that she didn't seem to learn from the first few times and try a different approach, instead insisting that she was constantly getting wrecked.
I don’t know much about racing however I’m here because I fell down the RUclips rabbit hole again. But even I could see that she always took zero responsibility for her crashes and spin outs.
Never watched Nascar, but from from these clips, looks like she lacked awareness and she was loose That being said, half the crashes are her being collected
I noticed that too. She 100% has a lot of crashes where she's just by herself or doesn't react to what's happening in front of her, but quite a few of these are just her being collected by someone else.
@@pinkharmonica1312 its weird for her to lack the awareness considering she came from indy car where the cars seem to need more attention, maybe she underestimated what Nascar requires and thought “hey i was pretty good at indy car, Nascar should be a piece of cake”

@@IiI_Gogeta_IiI from the great Robert Duvall. You came from a series where the car was half the weight with twice the tire. Here you’ve got twice the weight and half the tire.
I actually gained a little respect for Hamlin here. He pretty much let her bitch and moan to make her look bad with the cameras on. He was pretty calm about it.
I would like to make a point at the 7:43 mark. Brad Sweet was one of those smart drivers that was doing a different type of racing and tried their hand at NASCAR. He ran quite a few races between '12-'13 but once he realized that NASCAR wasn't fit for him, he went back to Sprint Cars and is winning races today. Just wanted to throw that out there.
Gary Bettenhausen is another example with four top tens in the 60s and 70s in just 9 Cup starts. While significantly stronger in NASCAR than Sweet, he didn't really like it as it would mean giving up a promise he and his brothers made to win a 500 for their dad who died at Indianapolis
I'm just genuinely happy that Brad made that choice to run sprint cars and known for it than ever before. He was a caution clock, spinning machine in NASCAR.
Robby Post ahaha this is gold but unfortunately Sweet drives for Kasey Kahne in sprint cars (which is how Sweet got his NASCAR rides at JRM and Turner)

24AMPER Almirola is so much better than Danica it’s laughable plus I don’t think anyone even remembers which race he won only that he won a race in the seat warm from Danica’s pretty ass
Vanhaul and Waltrip went near 500 races before he got a victory. The vast majority of drivers don’t win or get top ten finishes. What is your chosen field? You a superstar? Self made billionaire? Best of the best?
MrDonsullivan if you are at a top tier ride and you cant get a win in 5 or 6 seasons thats pretty sad. The vast majority of those drivers who haven’t won races weren’t in top tier rides for several seasons
Richard Petty was right, the only way Danica can win a cup race is if everyone stayed home. Brutally honest but true, that's why I love Richard and Kyle honest good people.
Sledgehammer K35 she’s a proven liar. Danica and Kurt Busch switched teams in 2014 and Kurt and Tony Gibson took off and we’re contenders right away. She continued to suck.
Worst equipment to performance ratio was posted by Danica. She never cared about becoming truly good. Coming to NASCAR for her was only about getting her "brand and marketing" out there for more people to see. Thankfully, the gate for female drivers who actually do take stock car racing seriously no longer depends on her.
I guess at the end of the day I don't have a problem with her as a person. My problem is with how the media covered her. As a child I grew up watching both the NHRA and Monster Jam. Still follow both, to an extent. I took no issue with the likes of Cristen Powell winning an NHRA national event. Jill Canuso's year end performance in Las Vegas still remains one of my favorite monster truck performances ever. It never once occurred to me that a girl competing in motorsports was a big deal. Danica came along, and something changed. Danica wasn't a driver, she was a movement. She was like "Go Green" or "Girl Power" personified. And it suddenly became this like, unwritten rule that you weren't allowed to criticize her because her presence was now a political thing. Which, to anyone who actually followed racing, made absolutely no fucking sense. The media tried to pull the revisionist history card on the most hardcore, knowledgeable fanbase out of all professional sports - racing fans - and it backfired spectacularly. Every meaningful barrier that could have been broken by a female driver, had already been done so decades earlier, and we all knew it & could rattle off lists of significantly more influential female racers, but yet the media continued to shove her down our throats long after the jig was up. Here's to hoping they never pull this shit again.
it definitely was the era of "manufactured stars" moreso than merited accomplishment. Even the Chase, stage-racing, and various other rules changes were designed to manufacture drama through manipulation rather than allowing things to play out organically and naturally.

Watching that brief exchange makes me appreciate Hamlin more than I have before. He was really trying to communicate with her and diffuse the situation. Can't say I've ever seen a driver grab another drivers suit like that and not get treated in kind.
The one and only positive thing I can say about Danica is that she is a tough girl for all of the hard hits and wrecks she went through... Still can't drive though... 😂
The fact that she is still able to function like a normal human being says a lot. I know she's moved on and doing her thing now, I wish her the best just glad she's out of Nascar. For her safety as well as others.
I feel like her car was always so bright and vivid for obvious reasons. Easy to spot her car for fans to watch her smash and for drivers to spot her as soon as they come within a dangerous distance.
I still think Gene Haas's comment on her potentially driving for his F1 team is funnier: "We're going to be running a serious high level racing venture, not a charity".
Hammerhead547 she most likely would have been better off at F1 considering her background in cart racing and INDYCAR, idk what she was thinking going stock car racing completely different animal.
@@Unique_Racing Not even the lowest of the low backmarker teams in F1 would have wanted her as a pay driver, other than that one fluke win she really didn't have the results to qualify for an F1 superlicense and the FIA would never have waived the rules for her.
It was a joke having this lady race in Nascar. She never earned a seat in the Sprint Cup Series. They should have started her on arca then moved her up the trucks and then they would have saw that she could have never made it in the Big Show. Besides the fact that her violent outbursts with her attacking shoving and punching other drivers knowing that they could not retaliate was absolutely fucking ridiculous
Somebody thought they could make a few million dollars, and they probably did just that. It's not about racing, it's about getting big bucks from TV shows and advertisers. Then they go and interfere with race results to keep the "right" drivers high in the standings. They have fiddled with drivers and the whole sport since its inception, so blame the Franks. It's a sport - but with one guy, one family running it all these years what kind of sport is that? Inbred is what it is called. They screwed with Danica just like they screwed with the first black guy to win a race, only they did it more often, more dangerously, and for more years. There were times she was a victim of circumstance the first instance that comes to mind was when Joey wrecked her and Almirola broke his back. Joey wrecked her because of a parts failure, but for everytime it wasn’t her fault there were 4 instances of it was her fault.
The car was too heavy for her..she never got the feel ... it wasn’t about the steering wheel weight, it was the track feel she never picked up. Driving a Indy car is all downforce Then there was her attitude...
Suited AndBooted66 well she had her share of wheel locks in open wheel.... I will say she was much better in the Indy Car and she does have one win... yea it was in Japan and it was a demonstration race ... but she did win one. She wasn’t to bad until her temper kicked in... and after that she was done... in either car.
I don't think she ever had the sensitivity to accurately communicate to the team what tune the car needed as a race progressed and the track changed. Which is why she was always snapping away to the loose side.
Funny how despite so many crashes, she never destroyed the front end of Newman's car Also Drinking game, everytime she wrecks the 38 car you take a shot, *dies of ethanol intoxication*
My favorite argument from people is “She was in the R&D car at SHR.” The same R&D car finished 5th in the points this year with A^2. Honestly a really cool spinoff series would be late bloomers of guys like Aric and Joey and MTJ who people thought were busts but then won big. Great vid!
Kurt Busch picked up all the equipment and manning from the #10 car, Amirola just got the number. Not that it matters, because Kurt had an arguably better year the Amirola and could have been a Final four contender if not for Dega fuel shenanigans.
Falling Pictures Productions irrelevant because Kurt had already switched with Danica twice prior to last season. So Almirola’s team did used to be Danica’s at one point
nkill6 Thanks for the information. Danika DID crash 46% of her rides, it’s not my opinion, I simply rounded the number off. No doubt she drives fast, however she drives without being able to regain control of her car when things get a little crazy.

If your high, stay high, low, stay low, but you can't just be floating around out there and not think your going to be in someone's way.
She drove like an Indy car, not a stock car, notice how she let go of the wheel and let the car crash instead of steering out of it like most NASCAR drivers, or got pissed when they drove defensively, which isn't how Indy racing works.
Chaz Groat The driver that would’ve gotten the #10 was probably going to be Josh Wise if he took the same path as Danica. They shared the 7 car in 2010/11. Wise ran better than Danica in most starts he had with JR Motorsports (7 and 88 car) He only finished outside the top 20 once and regularly finished in the top 15.

There are some situations where it really isn't her fault. But most of the time it is. (Like, if you blame the driver for an engine failure, blown tire or being collected in the wreck, you've got problems)
In 20 years of racing, Danica won 1 race (in an format) but she lead the pack in entitlement in every race. I thank God for that... because if she actually had won a few races we would have never heard the end of it.
Unfair assessment. Many Indycar races are won and lost through that, Danica could very well have won several more races including the Indy 500 with different luck. She certainly deserved to have won a race in her career in Indycar, maybe not that specific one but she she was owed at least one.

If she had been a man someone would have beat her ass for being dangerous.

this is true for lot's of sports and it's sad, take dirt biking, you gotta run at the front of the pack in every race and be able to do triple back flips and shit before anyone will know your name if you are a guy, but yet a girl just has to be able to throw her leg over the seat and start it and she's got sponsors and a spotlight story done on her, or skate boarding, a guy can do 360 kick flips over 10 ft gaps and go unnoticed, but whats this i see? a girl standing on a skate board and pushing herself around a little bit, omg lets give her a 4 page article in a magazine and blast her face on every energy drink commercial. it's totally unfair. True. A lot of the wrecks that got shown looked like they happened because she was having problems controlling her car. It was as though she was thinking she could throw it around like an Indy car and expect it to stick, not realizing that a NASCAR car is much heavier, looser, and less aerodynamic.

I would love to hear a compilation of other drivers talking about her

@@Starlance_ That's awesome! The best part is Stewart talking about taking her out as she's driving around in a car he owns. I think that speaks volumes!

This comment is so underrated. 😂.
Nice family guy reference!
2 things
1. I seriously thought she was about to slap the fire out of Denny Hamlin
2. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else that can damage/destroy a car like she could 😅
3. No one can say she wasn't tough. Those were some brutal hits.

It annoys me how the commentators always found a way to defend her ass and say she didn’t do anything wrong😂
Tbh they probably would have been crucified by her fans on Facebook

@@KameSennin4209 she has a rather large rep on facebook
not too big but you woulb be surprised
There are some situations where it really isn't her fault. But most of the time it is.
(Like, if you blame the driver for an engine failure, blown tire or being collected in the wreck, you've got problems)
Privilege of being a woman during the sensitive feminist era.
In 20 years of racing, Danica won 1 race (in an format) but she lead the pack in entitlement in every race. I thank God for that... because if she actually had won a few races we would have never heard the end of it.
The only reason she won Japan is her crew chief told her to stay out in a rained shortened race. Luck not talent
Unfair assessment. Many Indycar races are won and lost through that, Danica could very well have won several more races including the Indy 500 with different luck. She certainly deserved to have won a race in her career in Indycar, maybe not that specific one but she she was owed at least one.
Toxy and how does that make her worthy of the win? She sucks...Period. You’ve got to be a fucking broad, and a millennial, with that logic.
@@xblackcatx1312 becuase she is hardly the worst Indycar driver to get a win through that.
@@toxy3580It doesn't matter if one - million drivers win like that, it doesn't change the fact that she got lucky. She is an awful driver...Her record speaks for itself. Racing is dead in this country, and the Danaca Patrick fiasco played a major part in that hapoening.
Toxy - Same with derrick cope winning the Daytona 500 when Dale Earnhardt cut a tire down on the last turn, of the last lap.
Danica was role model for crash test dummies, Aric showed that the 10 car was a good car with a decent driver. Really showed how bad she was as a driver.. and of course never her fault.
Nope.......NEVER HER FAULT. SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ALLOWED TO DRIVE
No, always her fault , and an unredeemable sin for her mom to give birth to her.
Almirola won in that car in his first season, almost in his first race full time in the car

Love how she makes a big deal about it not her job to sign autographs cuz she has to get in the car and wreck it.... For over a minute.... And still doesn't sign anything.
"It hurts my feelings when you boo me", you don't think that messes with kids when you walk right past them refusing autographs?
Her shit don't stink and she didn't have time. Thought she was "billy bad ass"
@@luigibros.5527 I was disappointed when she walked over to whoever booed her and they shut right up and didn't say anything more. They shoulda went further and straight up told her "she sucked and to go back to open wheel racing"
My main problem with Danica wasn't that she was a bad driver it was that she always blamed other people for her problems. She never seemed to want to improve and that lost her more than races.
This so much.
Zero awareness of the field. Just goes high/low and expects nobody to be there when she's literally side-by-side on someone.
She knows she has mirrors right?
xKami102x
What’s a behind me
Not important 😂
She has mirrors? Do the cars also have turn signals? You do realize they have human spotters that are in constant contact with the drivers telling them when they are clear of other cars? So ‘her’ problem appears to be incompetent spotters huh?
She expected everyone else to move out of the way for her and she even states that "hes letting everyone through but me" maybe bc he was on a separate team and was allowing his team ahead of him bc he was the weaker link or was having some issues but she doesn't realize that nascar is an extremely different animal than open wheel racing you have to be extremely aggressive some times but mostly desperate defensive driving
Exactly! She had no awareness of any traffic beside or behind her! That’s is half of good racing
Kevin Tucker yeah must have had a real dumby for a spotter huh?

I can't believe he didn't know how that sounded as he said it.
After Danica says “Nobody else did it to me” Denny says something like: It’s because nobody’s getting close to you!
Yikes, Denny
Hamlin's double facepalm at 19:00 is great.
