    Thank you for this informative video.
    My 2007 Altima Hybrid at 130k miles, all of a sudden started to shake/vibrate violently and loudly. I was unable to drive it without attracting a lot of attention and moving slowly hoping to use the electric side of it.
    doing a search and coming across your video helped me immensely.
    I ordered 4 ignition coils on ebay for $38 shipping included, and fixed the problem in 20 minutes. It is now as good as before.

    You did help us. My son just paid 450.00 parts and labor for replacing ONE coil!! That included and oil change though :/
    Now, not even a week later, the engine is doing the same thing! Same symptoms as you described and same as last week. So, this video did help. Thank you!

    Hi man, thanks for your video. I am experiencing the same issue. I was wondering, if i need to replace the entire valve cover or just replace the gasket and the seals? I am not sure if the seals can be serviced. One of my coils went bad after a rainy day, and the other has oil leaking inside from a bad seal. Thank you in advance.

    • @ricebike
      @ricebike 5 лет назад

      yea, it takes a bit of work to replace the seals individually; it's all over youtube... but, easier to get the whole cover with the new seals

    • @ricebike
      @ricebike 5 лет назад

      just look up how to change valve cover gasket since the tube seals are integrated into the plastic cover. there are others that just replace the seals if they want to dig them out of the cover as well

    Hello I'm replacing the 2007 Nissan Altima valve gasket cover , do you know if we have to remove the metal prices to the lefty (when looking at the car) to do so? Do you have any experience with this procedure?

      I can't recall. Just Google the part number and several choices will appear. Prices change constantly.

    hey there- I got an error code U100" ECM fuse no communication" can you please advise where exactly this fuse is located ? I searched high and low online but cant find anything..yes I called the dealers too and all they can tell me is that their diagrams don't say for sure where its located either.

    +PatriotMarine,I have an '09 altima 2.5 push start ignition ......I am having an issue with the car starting and the shop said its a random misfire in cylinder 4 in the ignition coil.Does it matter what brand you replace them with far as performance?

    • @ricebike
      @ricebike 5 лет назад

      you can swap the #4 with another and see if the code changes like with #2. for example, your p0304 code should move to a different cylinder p0302 to rule out that one bad coil

    my daughter 2006 nissan is having the same problem. I'm not afraid to try and do it myslef, but what's this code your referring to? ?? and how do I reset it before I get started????

    • @PatriotMarine
      @PatriotMarine  8 лет назад

      If you don't have Engine light on, then no code. If you do you can take to AutoZone or most auto parts store & they can get code for you. I got it by reading flashes on dash.

      you need to plug in an obd2 scanner and it will read p0301, p0302, p0303, p0304 based on the affected coil/ spark plug

    If you got the coils for that cheap then I am positive that they failed because they came from China. Always use Denso Coils

      06 and 07 is different do to the motor mount... Its still easy, but not the same.

    • @johnv2902
      @johnv2902 8 лет назад

      and you also need to replace the valve cover on the 07 with the gasket and on the 06 you just need to replace the gasket.

    • @ricebike
      @ricebike 5 лет назад

      @@johnv2902 nope, it's the whole cover as well, unless you want the extra work to cut out the old tube seals

      it should say p0301, p0302, p0303, p0304 for the affected bad coils... if it's p0300, it could be other things as well

    Sorry, but your constant moving of the camera and the background noise; distracts what would otherwise be a great video.
    Get yourself a tripod and USE it. Only move the camera where it is absolutely necessary. Never have TV or radio, etc while you are recording. And finally NEVER play music on a DIY video; because it is the MOST distraction while trying to listen to a video .
    For what it's worth.
