Why do mother's not like to acknowledge their faults talking about respect when you totally disrespected her all her life
That mother is terrible!!! The mother chose to take drugs! Taking drugs is a choice. Shame on that mother that she won't take responsibility for hurting her daughter so deeply!!! That mother should have never been blessed with children. She's definitely not mother material!!! That young woman is to be admired. She's a survivor of deep trauma!!! My prayers are with the young woman and her baby girl.❤❤❤

I feel so bad for this daughter. She had a horrible, selfish mother, and even sober, she's still a horrible, selfish mother. I hope the daughter gets continued therapy so she can heal, because her mother has caused her so much damage. The daughter deserves happiness and her mother deserves to be alone.

I understand childhood traumas. Sometimes we do not get the closure that we seek from people who hurt us. All we can do is speak our truth and move on.

I too went through exactly what this young lady has gone through but today I take care of my mother. Her drug addiction has cause her to be mentally disabled so she is lucky that her mom is able to be a normal person in her right state of mind. I hope one day they can get in a better space. Much prayer brings much power

My father has struggled for years, and chose drug over me… if he needed my help with anything, I couldn’t do.

You will be truly blessed for taking care of your mom. If I were you don’t count out postpartum. Ilived with both parents and I and my sister was always treated different by our mom. There were 10 of us and in my 40’s I decided our mom experienced postpartum with us being 18 months apart. The doctors weren’t diagnosing women in the fifties. We (just the two of us) took care of our mom and was with her at home to take her last breath.
I took an early retirement to take care of the mother that never looked me in my face (that’s what my oldest sister told me). I felt like I didn’t belong. Thank God our dad was in the home to ask WHY. he didn’t know or understand. That’s where the postpartum came into play.
I find the mother was so selfish all she talked about was herself. All the child wanted was an apology. Omg all the mother had to do was say I am so sorry.
Everyone its easy to make comments no matter how her Mother apologize to her Daughter she will not accept she came on the show to make peace going forward yes the daughter has suffered pain and trauma i dont know what it feels like to have a Mom addicted to drugs i just hope one day they can make peace

Love Karamo, but he made way too many excuses for the mother. As the child of a terrible mother, I have also made a decision to do better for my kids.
I don't think he was making excuses for her, he just wanted to show them how to see each others perspective. So he started off with the daughter because she seemed more receptive, but she couldn't really hear him because of that burden she carried. A simple 'I'm sorry' would jumpstart their healing journey, so he tried to get the mother to say it, but that woman noticed and held on. All that woman wanted was for people to understand her perspective without having to admit fault. She figured she could get away with 'my presence speaks volumes', not utter a single word, and reap the benefits. He didn't have a way to make it work because that woman didn't want put in the work.
I don't understand, the daughter brought the mom there right? Daughter just disrespectful off the back, she just came to argue not to hear her momma. It's ppl like this when the parent passes they jumping in the casket screaming take me lord

The mother apologized to her if sh shut up
That wasn’t an apology bc she isn’t sorry and doesn’t want accept blame for the harm she caused her daughter.

I don’t understand the daughter’s frustrations with her mother. From my perspective the mother seems sincere about trying to understand her daughter, but this child is beyond reach. At this point the daughter not accepting her mother apology will only be a problem for the daughter. Her father deserves some blame as well. I agree with the mother. The daughter thinks this situation is solely about her not realizing her mother went through some hardships along with the grandmother being on drugs.
I think what the daughter was trying to say that the mom always made it about herself, talking about her problems instead of listening to her daughter or her problems, I personally think she felt like she wasn’t a priority to her mom. The daughters said she felt abandoned by her mom, you can see her expressing her anger when she said “You’re still talking about yourself” Which clearly means that she wants her mom to listen to her and how the mom effected her emotionally and for the mom to not bring up her problems and how the mom didn’t take care of her.

She doesn’t care to understand her mother and the results of that is pushing her mother away from her. The mother did try to apologize and that was the window for the daughter to get the mother to understand the daughter struggles. Your points are very valid also.
@@leahtistrahmad1369 Your point is valid too but the only reason the daughter didn’t accept the apology was because she thinks the apology wasn’t good enough or more like it wasn’t an apology at all. It’s true that the mom is also suffering, the daughter does understand what the mom went through but from my pov, she just wants the mom to listen to her and not make it all about herself or her problems that happened in the past. Most people would say the mom is a narcissist for making it about herself and talking about herself instead of talking or listening to her daughters pain. She just wants her mom to listen to her and her struggles, how the mom affected her, not the mom to talk about herself and her problems.

Regardless of what she experienced, she should never speak to her mother like that. Please don’t cause yourself the heartache, would you rather grow up feeling and knowing your mother doesn’t see you all your life. You can’t hate your mom but try and understand that she was going through something. I think my mom had postpartum and a week before she passed my sister and I got to talk to her about how she treated us two out of 10 children and the only thing she could say was she didn’t know why she did that and said she never would have thought it would be the two of us taking care of her.
