It would appear Honda is holding out on it's American customer base. In the UK, Honda is now selling the CR-V with an optional Diesel engine and instead of a droning CVT, it is equipped with a NINE speed automatic. For the life of me, I don't get why we can't get the same here.
Affordable, new, large cargo space, easy fuel mileage, automatic transmission, its what is advertised. If you want something different then get something else.
While I'll give credit to honda for restyling the CRV I think they missed big time on key points in the interior such as soft touch areas. And nicer cabin style I much rather get a CX-5

Honda has acknowledged there is a problem with the 2015 Honda CRV in their youtube video. I just talked to a Honda Case worker and she stated Honda is addressing the problem but has no resolution at this time and doesn't know at what point they are t resolving the problem. To pay $30,000+ for a beautiful Honda CRV that vibrates/shakes and Honda not having come up with a solution is taking a gamble on buying this vehicle. Would Honda executives expect their wife to drive a 2015 Honda CRV that shakes/vibrates and just tell them it's the characteristic of the car and not a safety issue. Is this the new Honda standard?? Shame on Honda. If you have a 2015 Honda CRV that shakes/vibrates please indicate the location it was manufactured. Example: Ontario, Canada/ Mexico/ Ohio... Also, please indicate how Honda has responded to the vibration/shaking issue. Thank you.
+Bill Caldwell You're right, Bill. Honda is no longer the envy of the affordable automaker. Far from it, in fact. We bought our sixth -- and last -- new Honda in March 2015. We drove the CRV-EX AWD just 1,600 miles before trading it for a 2015 RAV4 because we experienced unexpected acceleration on several occasions and received no help from Honda. I was stunned. I couldn't believe how a longtime loyal Honda owner could be treated so poorly by Airport Honda in Tennessee and American Honda. I wanted American Honda to buy it back and told the representative that I would gladly pay for the mileage. Here's what happened: I took the car to Airport Honda on Aug. 26 so they could check it out. Since the problem was intermittent, I halfway expected that they wouldn't find a problem, especially given the way they treated me upon arrival. Despite showing them Internet reports of unexpected acceleration in CR-Vs, they said that they had never heard of such a problem. I explained that there's no way I would make this up since it caused me a lot of trouble taking off work and driving 40 miles (round trip) so they could see if they could "replicate" (wink, wink) the problem. The best I could get was a car that functioned properly. After keeping the car for two days, of course they told me the car was fine. So when it became obvious that the service department was of no use, I tried to trade the car for either a 2016 Pilot or another CR-V, although that prospect scared me somewhat because I didn't know if I could trust another CR-V. They said they'd call me with a trade figure, but they never did as they obviously didn't want the absolutely pristine gray CR-V with the added $500 options of a hood deflector, mud flaps and a sunroof visor -- all genuine Honda parts installed by Airport Honda. I called them back and spoke to Bruce Wayne (no kidding), and he wouldn't provide a trade figure many hours after he said they'd have those numbers in a few minutes. In the end, I lost several thousand dollars and all respect I had for American Honda and Airport Honda. Our RAV4 with a conventional six-speed transmission is rock solid and the dealer, Fox Toyota, is perhaps the most honest and best in America. Reports of Honda's decline certainly don't seem to be exaggerated based on my experience. Oh, and I forgot to mention how the CR-V's engine sent vibrations through the cabin with the car in drive and the brake pedal depressed. Airport Honda acknowledged that problem but said there isn't a fix at this time. Anyway, I just hope no one gets killed in a CR-V when it takes off.
+Ron Walli You shouldn't be mad at Honda. It is the dealership you went to that gave you bad service. Honda is trying to fix the problem but it wasn't Honda's fault hat you had bad service it was the dealership.
Just got a Honda CR-V 2015 last month, the shake is true but it doesn't bother me at all. Honda is famous for quality and honestly I'm very happy with my purchase.
I have a 2014 honda crv sometimes the transmission jerks when putting in reverse not all the time but often, for a car that we paid $14,000 we are very disappointed
your 'review' didn't even cover the new touring trim level features of adaptive cruise, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, collision mitigation braking, etc.
Your lucky Im getting 16mpg in the city. I was getting 19mpg in 2012 honda accord special editon. Our salesperson said It would be better because our accord was underpowered.
The crv is so overpriced and cheaply made! That interior is awful with its cheap plastics awful aftermarket looking infotainment and same old boring honda powertrains.
You forgot a few... Very fuel efficient, responsive engine/trans, affordable (starts at $25k), easy to drive, safe, spacious, and reliable. Probably why it was motortrend's SUV of the year. Is it a good car for someone like me that wants something fun and owns a Fiesta ST? No. But certainly the best vehicle in its class.
powertrain for '15 is direct injection cvt from the recently launched new accord, so hardly old boring. interior is certainly class competitive and the value, especially for the touring, is unmatched. in other words, you're way off lol
joe cornicello Honda has thousands of american workers working for them... Honda would not be as big as they are... if ford Chevy and dodge didn't build shit cars... the only thing that saved ford Chevy dodge was they made work trucks.. if it was not for that dodge would not be around anymore
American cars are great also. 2014 Ford Focus I have and no problems. Test drove a 2014 Nissan Sentra and the car broke down while I was there due to the CVT. American cars are better and I also support our workers and county by buying our cars.

We have a 2015 LX because my grandma didn't want the ancient 5-speed and the annoying touchscreen. Good choice.
Great job! Appreciate the information...Just what I needed to know! So thank you!!!
how do you check the transmission fluid level on a 2015 Touring CVR?
While I'll give credit to honda for restyling the CRV I think they missed big time on key points in the interior such as soft touch areas. And nicer cabin style I much rather get a CX-5
Does it have LED headlights as standard equipment?
honest review

The tail lights of Hondas are sooo ugly... Honda people are so bad at designing the tail lights
No. You probly have no taste
This guy is wondering why Honda upgraded the dash material and not the driver's side door? Hmm because people look at the dash more than the doors?!?!
