😂 so true Bobby's the man. Paul is a great guy but this 15-20ft apart rule he's living by obviously growers all over the world get plenty of fruits without planting 20ft apart. Not everyone has acres of land to do so.

I hope you are correct but that has not been the experience of Alex at Tropical Acres farms who has been growing mango trees much longer than Bobbie or I

We had coconut trees on our property in Wellington, they were very tall so I assume that means they were mature but they didn't fruit for many years. Maybe after 10 years. This was long after I left so its such a shame I couldn't grow up eating fresh coconuts.

I was originally from Cambodia and I'm just wondering if FL does have any palm sugar trees? Palm sugar trees there are very beneficial to the locals as they can make palm juice, palm wine, and palm brown sugar!

Enjoyed this visit quite a bit. Hopefully that Valencia pride is just not living up to its potential because I planted one myself this year! Husband sounds like quite the butcher!

I love Valencia Pride if I pick it when the fruit start to get some yellow on them. Most people pick them when they start to turn pink and I find that they lack flavor at that stage. The tree is very vigorous and I was told by old-time grafters that if you want a very strong rootstock to graft on Valencia Pride is the best.

I had 2 sap ores at my last property spoilt with care but never developed to fruit loads of flowers but starving it feeding it or whatever treatment I gave it the fruit never got bigger than acorns. The 4 avocados in same area fruited prolifically 😊

Is it possible that the Ross Sapote is a seedling (not a grafted one) as to why it's not giving fruit? I believe I heard her say that the Mammea Americana tree is a seedling, possibly explaining as to why that one hasn't produced either

always plant fruit trees in CIRCLES of 8 or 16

With all do respect, an HOA can restrict what you plant. The 2019 Florida law prohibits municipalities from restricting what you plant.

I put a 3 gallon lemon zest, m4, nam doc mai and a cotton candy in a 6 foot hexagon planter last year. We’ll see how it goes.

Her description of Carrie is off. Carrie has a resinous flavor and not overly sweet nor mush. She’s picking it at the wrong time. You pick it when it comes off with a slight tug, very little yellow coloring.
My Valencia Pride has great flavor, does she realize that Haden is the parent? My suspicion is her soil is lacking some minerals and this will cause the “jelly seed” and help develop some flavor is her fruit.

If you're planting too close with different fruit tree varieties, expect that it won't give you fruits. Some fruits won't work well when they shaded from other fruit trees.
