Thank you for this! Hellfire Peninsula is some of my favourite music in the game. And thank you for all of your videos. They have given me many, many hours of listening enjoyment.
When I stepped across the Dark Portal , I was overwhelmed by the scene I was looking at and felt that it was like my first time being on an alien planet.
This stress was added up on top (not only watching your back for the opposite faction while questing) :) I think they've replicated the Un'Goro + Devilsaur experience.
Same memories! Great great days... together with the extraordinary music... absolute awesome! Defending flags lonesome at 1 am while looking after allies... unforgettable! Loved it! Especially the music, unique!
No other extension matches this level of adventure on a truly amazing and devastated land. The sky, the music, the big mobs, the crushing dungeons. I was speechless. Nowadays, everything is over-scripted, fast and phased. The feeling of being on a mass multiplayer adventure game vanished.
@@ing_frantisek_mohykan What do you mean specifically? '(btw, vanila1-60, not tbc). Yes the comparaison was with other extensions. But the view of every outland region is stunning. Vanilla was more about a feeling.
@@bionity4749 I meant the best leveling zones with pure vanilla feeling are classic zones 1-60 (plus azuremyst) with talents and skills from TBC. TBC Outland looks and sounds great but the gameplay starts to be dull, which escalates slowly into wotlk and retail
Idk why they took the creative of this game in such a different direction. The newer zones have overwhelming music and not this kind of ambience feel. Absolutely loved music till Wrath
what nostalgia!!. It makes me want to cry. i was so happy.. And at the same time I was not aware of it. I realize over time what this game (and specifically this expansion) meant for me. Listening to this music excites me. It's something very special. I don't pretend that people know what this meant to me... Few would understand it because it cannot be expressed in words.
WoW truly is the most epic video game ever produced, and potentially the best realized example of a fantasy universe that any medium has ever produced. The lore, the millenia long wars - the minor spat between the orcs and humans being dwarfed into insignificance under the onslaught of the Burning Legion, the horrifying and otherworldly mysticism that some have learnt to partially control, the godlike heroes, the purity and unimaginable power of the evil, light, shadow, and unspeakable things - a world utterly bent towards the craft of war.
Hellfire’s music is so dreadfully atmospheric, you really feel as though you are in a wasteland which is plagued by so many horrors and death. Ty for video!
@@RomaVega Maybe, in some cases for sure. It depends on the person and their past. And each has control of their lives ultimately. Been playing since 2006 and I myself have witnessed both ends.
Back when I was wanting to get a character past level 30 in 2020 and committing to the grind, I finally reached the appropriate level for burning crusade content and stepped through the portal. I will never forget that moment, finally stepping out of Azeroth and into a new world. I can't imagine how incredible this must've been back in 2007.
Still my favorite xpack...in reasonably large part due to this zone being what you're greeted with. Familiar enough from WC3 campaign but new enough to be interesting and fun, plus a freaking pit lord staring you down first thing. The ambient music and sounds of both Vanilla and BC...and to a smaller degree WotLK...were legendary in my mind and, while not as emotional or technically impressive as some Final Fantasy stuff or something, it was somehow super immersive and just put you in a certain mindset. Cata came out and it shattered that along with the world and the story......then they pulled MoP out of their butts (a whole xpack based on a bonus character from WC3, wow), and then WoW:Retcon came out...and then they trivialized the freaking Burning Legion and now we're as powerful as the entire universe put together or some crap i don't even know or care. ANYWAY, Classic BC plz :D
A lot of fans like you forget that BC was the expansion that introduced major daily quests hubs that everyone hates so much. Don't lap on your nostalgia too heavily.
Man, I've been thinking about the same thing. That the music was more ambiental and meant to put your mind in a certain mood. Even though the world you see ingame is just a simulacrum, when I listen to this music I can feel and see how the world would actually look like. Well made but nothing really of substance. I was listening to Tanaris music and it really made me feel like a lost adventurer. Winterspring makes makes me feel like those cozy winters I had when I was a kid. Most of the newer stuff is just generic epic music.
Well said. Lotta people miss the historic connections to Wc3 & beyond, but they added substantially to content quality. TBC is the live result of the WC2 campaigns that created Outlands & ended in a cliffhanger for heroes (The great statues in Stormwind) In other words, under the hood, TBC was a successful dream that people often have about playing an MMO of their fav stories; and those unfamiliar with it can feel the authenticity unconsciously vs the generic writing of other MMOs. Hence TBC's greatness.
Love Hellfire. Nothing was a scary as questing around HF then suddenly hearing 'RAAAAARRRRR' turning around and seeing the Fel Reaver charging at you... ah, memories...
@@Meisio Terrokar and Nagrand are two very peaceful zones, I would love to have you play there. Also I hope I can join your patreon once I get a full time job, your videos really have helped me a lot.

I though Kil'Jaeden is here too because he give Illidian orders in WC3 although at Black Temple but than the landscape was the same so I stupidly searched for him while exploring Hellfire Peninsula. I wouldn't mind turning all of the Outland in Hellfire landscape the sky is just beautiful.
I remember the first time when passed from the portal and found lot of png protecting the place, the music, the sound, THE FEELING!!!!!!!, aaaah i don't how to explain this game.... it's like an other life for me...another world or planet...im 30 years old now and im still in love with the world of warcraft!
Zones from an expac released 14 years ago somehow still look more alien and unique than the current "water you can walk on" zone design. Oh Blizzard you done fucked it up.
I remember. We bought bc at midnight and went to play am03.00 maybe. That huge lag what we had then unforgetable 😆😆😆 and ofc all of new mobs was sooo hard fight we were paper to them 🤣🤣🤘
Personally I considered TBC harder. After I quit hardcore more in Vanilla, it was harder for me to be a casual but still be able to join heroic instances. Other players wouldn't take you unless you have good gear, even if that gear is actually obtainable in heroic instances. But I loved every part of TBC :)
The music they have now for the new expansions is just generic gaming music. There is no more this level of immersion and uniqueness that old music have. This is fkn Hellfire Peninsula! Ugly?! Just the colours are enough to call it stunning (not every corner of it, but still). And the music helps setting an unfriendly atmosphere (similar to a planet like Mars, with demons) you can't find in other zones... maybe except Blade's Edge Mts, it's actually more intense there imo (just with ogres and dead dragons instead, and less colours). Agreed about the qs tho, I guess...
@@hawkstrike18 yeah, colour palette kinda works but only temporary. By the time you finish half of your respective hub quests you already want to leave as fast as possible.
