@@ihatekip7300 Thing that bothers me more about end times is that so many characters act out of character. Like, the elves suddenly accepting malekith makes no sense at all. It is unplausible considering the things that happened before. They can make tyrion a bad guy all they want and malekith can win all he want (although I don´t really like him) but make it a well written story at least. And the fact that malekith turns into a "good" guy bothers me as well

Deafeating Heinrich Himmler will grant you the trait 'Terror's End' providing you with +1 global public order +5 leadership and immune to psychology for the entire army.
No love for TiqTaqTo? +10% campaign movement and +10% line of sight is pretty good. Ikit Claw gives +10 Winds of Magic and +10% research rate, which can make a fantastic farm trait.
He probably didn't have those figured out yet, otherwise the Ikit Claw on would definitely have been on the list rather than the Alarielle one.

Yes those were released april 17, and this video was released may 7(who knows how much earlier it was actually recorded though.) I'm willing to bet this was a "Keep in the back pocket" video for legend that he had completed at least a month prior for when he had a content drought or real life plans.

because they cant just give it to one type of wizard, all the wizards of any lore of magic all get the same hero buffs/abilities , because technically a life wizard and a fire wizard are the same type of hero in this game

I would like to see a griefing legendary Lord that actually debuff the enemy when defeated. Like a chaos demon lord which inflicts a curse to the one who defeats him or something...

Top 5 Historical Periods you would like to see in the TW series
For me personally I would love to see a game that leads to late game pseudo WW1. Gimme tanks, trenches, Zulus, etc etc..
There are Not Many Historical Periods left for a really new total war. Except that that would not work in the same way like ww2 and ww1

Finished my old save with -50k going down every turn, but i had like 500k gold and was marching towards the final chaos battle. Managed to finish the campaign with some thousand gold to spare

I was extremely surprised when I first knew that that's even a thing , I remember scrolling my general traits and I saw I had a couple because I defeated X legendary lord , it's a small cool mechanic and I wonder if there are more .
About armor: increasing armor is actually more effective the higher the current value is. The damage reduction per point of armor rises up to 100 armor, where the efficiency takes a dip, but then continues to rise back up.
that's not really how it is done.
For every attack you suffer, throw a dice from 0-current armor. This is how much dmg you block from the attack

I think it depends on how you play. You play legendary only and want to get the most value from every army I can totally agree with that list. I love to goof around on normal picking up the SoK and make 1 lord into a God that can kill 4 armies in 1 battle so my list would look very different. For example Isabella being Nr 1 and krog-gar Nr 2.
Also Imrik gives 25% fire res which negates the downside of Isabella completely. Not that it was that big of a deal in the first place.

Not certain if you've ever addressed it, but I was reminded of it when you were talking about having Hagbutcher generals in reserve. A lot of factions have global lord abilities that apply from reserve. The most notable is the Skaven Warlord Ravenous Expansion at lvl 13 which gives +20-40% income from settlement buildings, but you also have things like High Elf research generals, or Dark Elf random Global generals. Not certain you could even get enough info out of those abilities for a video, but still something to think about. If you get start recruit level 14 for skaven you basically get infinite money ;)

The +1 recruit rank for Tyrion trait also adds melee def, melee attack, and weapon damage per rank gained for units.

It was changed, though... no buffs to himself anymore... was nerfed to 'just' 100% bonus dmg for chariots in his army.

I think the list was pretty good. i just missed the tiqtaq to trait that gives you +10% Campaign movement. In my opinion this is very important, because having more movement range makes your army so much more efficient and provides you a good momentum if you win a crucial battle. 10% can be the difference between you needing just one or two rounds to siege the next city. It can make the difference you need to chase down the opponents army etc.. I just think its a extremely viable trait that is useful for EVERY commander (at least speaking of my knowledge).

One of the hardest ones to get is Morghur's trait but it is amazing. 30% missile resistance for your lord.
Regeneration is the best perk imo, makes your Lord almost invincible in some situations
Sigvald is unkillable with it and his auric armor
+12 health/seconds is broken

Skarsnik’s Sneakysmiter should be on the list. +20% ambush success and defense is awesome especially for armies with ambush on attack like Beastmen or Skaven

Nice list, make top 10 cities which to conquer/capture just for sake of unique buildings (example vampire counts taking Aldorf for sake of college of magic to boost necromancer starting levels example and vampire levels and also get unique building which ironically improves diplomacy with empire factions).
Ikit claw is so useful, as bretonia I cycled all my generals through skavenblight one after the other to repeatedly stack the research bonus
Top 10 strongest rebellion army. For example if I play with Tomb King the rebellion army so much strongest because they have necrosphinx.
The traits are my favourite aspect of the entire game. I hope they expand it in TWW3.

'ocassionally"? A goon squad of a high level legendary Lord and some high level heroes can wipe out even t5 armies by themselves.

@Legend of TotalWar Can you make top 5 heros next with separate lists for their battle and campaign ratings? Skills that affect armies outside battle should count toward campaign rating.
Very useful video. Although I believe Hagbutcher to be the most useful. If you have even 4 Nobles getting influence per turn, that's saving you around 1200 gold per turn on 5 Hagbutcher bonuses.
But most Factions don't happen to have Nobles or the influence mechanic. So it really is a trait that is great for high elves, also since they are starting near by. But most factions don't benefit from it as much, and many are further away. By the time I get that trait with 5 or more lords, I usually don't have any problem paying money for a few agent actions per round. Its nice to have, but with most factions I don't really see how it is that great, especially since you have to obtain in multiple times to really get a bigger effect. For High Elves it sure is a great trait though, and they are near by.
I love in this video when he comes to the fey enchantress you can see all the signs of an old save loaded up after the bretonnian rework. Look at louen there spending almost 30k per turn for those hippogryph knights

As I recall defeating Leoncure as another brettonian faction gives a fairly substantial damage buff. Perhaps not top 10 material but worth noting if playing enchantress or alberic

There is 1 more Legendary Lord (maybe included after the video was published), that is awesome to defeat, and it's Gotrek. It's not a normal Legendary Lord, but whe you defeat him, he gaves you unendurable, and your Lord can't be scared or run away. If you combine a particulary well combat Lord with the regeneration obtained from Isabella von Carstein and the unendurable from Gotrek (amd maybe the mele defense from Kroq'Gar), he can be an almost Inmortal Lord who could beat almost any army by his own.

Hey legend are u planning to anything like top 5 best infantry, missile, artillery etc. in the campaign?
A new Top 5 idea can be: strongest Legendary Lords in the endgame. As in CC monster, army control monster, magic monster etc. There are always some Lords you don't have to worry about. Even on Legendary. Malekith, Mannfred (who has singlehandedly defeated the entire Chaos invasion at the Baersonling chokepoint), Tyrion, Mazdamundi and Noctilus. These are, to me the Lords who are worth an army on their own.
Would you recommend having an empire general sitting in altdof with all extra trade traits ? Just to get best income ?
A Lord with the Noble trait and who is the elector count of Marienburg with the Key item as well and as many spare heroes with the Noble trait work wonders
As an avid ambusher, I am slightly disappointed that skarsnik isnt on here. That 20% ambush success bonus can be very useful when abusing the AI. But I agree with most of these, especially the top spot.

Is there a limit to number of legendary trait? I seem to get only 3 per lord
There's limit for perks overall, you may have 30 perks at all per lord. And perhaps limit for LL perks aswell.
No, I have a norsca non-legendary hero with 5-7 legendary lord traitors last I checked

For defeating The One True King you will gate the trait - Stannis the Mannis: vanguard depl. for all units, siege atacker, +6 melee attack for cavalry units in this army.

Does Grimsbane apply to hybrid units like Lothern Sea Guards?
Don't think so, given that they are classified as hybrid infantry and not melee infantry
The issue with getting Kroq's is that he gets autoresolved by turn 5.
Granted one would think he could respawn from a Sentinel of Xeti city.

did you get all of these traits by your work or did you use concle commands for this? and where does one go to get the list of the traits for beating these lords anyway?
He got them himself, I'm guessing. I don't think there are any console commands in WH2. You can probably look up all the defeat traits on Google
Defeating Malekith gives Frenzy, which gives 12% weapons strength, +8 melee, +8% charge bonus and immune to psychology. I'd wager its a top 3 trait for any melee lord.
Morathi for me is tops. Getting down to zero cost hero actions cannot be underestimated. Especially in late game when you tend to have a lot more of them

#8 get a runelord. Go rectify a grudge against the Zangunaz and kill Heimrich Kemmler (harder to do now that he is in Bretonnia). Put that runelord on an anvil of doom. Your army now has 40% MR
Agreed, Isabella has a really good one. Especially if you are playing something like Greenskins, Beastmen or Skaven who very much depend on their lord for Leadership whilst at the same time not having any healing spells and not the best defensive stats.
That replenishment is even better for Khazrak's beastmen. It can give you big advantage right away in the early game as beastmen really struggle with replenishment I think.

@@TheManofthecross yes but their replenishment is determined be corruption in the region where they camp and even with high corruption it takes 4 to 6 turn to replenush units while other faction takes much less usually max 3 turns to do the same
Legend, does the regeneration trait (for defeating Isabella) stack with other regen passives? For Instance with Sigvald's Auric Armour. As in is the regen faster or something?
Vlad Crishmy I’m not legend but I believe so long as the ability is not specifically providing the “Regen” trait then it stacks, like when cast Nehek on Vlad.
Defeating Gotrek gives the Unbreakable trait, which is really OP on vampires, but also on any tanky lord or even to make sure your caster lord doesnt rout every 5 seconds you forget to micro manage him.

Actually, reaching +50 or so bonus to PO can help you negate the invasion malus during your conquests, reducing the need to fight potential rebelions.
Does magic resist also reduce damage from magical melee or ranged attacks. For example fighting banshees or Cain Wraiths.

Morathi was a surprise pick until you took us down the logical path. Syncs well with your recent Skarsnik campaign
If you want to juice your lord you can go for Malekith (frenzy), Hellebron (AP/atk), Throgg (fat bonus v large), and ghorst (poison). Stacks well with sword of khaine..
I like the +30% missile resistance Morghur the Shadowgave gives. Very usefull for lords with a flying mount.

You just have to defeat them once per general and they get the trait
You only get the trait with the Leading General against the Leading General of the enemy. So if you have a lord attacking and have a lord reinforcing and you are attacking Malekith and he has Morathi reinforcing then only your attacking lord will get a trait from Malekith. He won't get the Morathi trait, and the reinforcing lord won't get either trait.
I'm about 90% sure of this. it's been a while, but I think that's how it works.

Im surprised Ikit claw's +10% research rate per defeat wasnt on this list, it can quickly snowball you WAY ahead of everyone else in the campaign

I like the Skarsnik Trait. +20% to ambush success and +20% to ambush defense are very good to have. I you're skaven, or will be fighting skaven, this trait is even more useful.
I would put Balthazar's up higher past Morathi. That +6 armour is quite a bit nicer than -10% hero action cost.
How many traits can your lords have? I had Grigor run out of traits he could get? Or was my game glitched i dont know

Kholek is better with the sword of Khaine. You can completely solo armies

The only right way to play as him is to abandon your province and go in hiding in Lustria.
Giving those really strong traits to highelf lords in the campaign seems fair, taking Ulthuan is just ridiculously hard on L/VH for me....
Bonus vs Infantry also provides melee attack.
I think replenishment is especially useful for most factions
Use Cpecific's Trait Manager. It's easier and faster. It lists both LL defeat traits, as well as general ones.

@@TheManofthecross All of them without going into the character screen. It appears as a button next to the experience level and shows even how many skills a character has. In case of traits from LLs, it even shows them no matter if you defeated them or not, but they'll be all black and white portraits unless you defeat those lords. Then they get colored, which indicates that your character defeated that lord and got the traits. Really useful management mod.
what do you get from Tehenehuin and Ikit?
Research rate for Ikit, untainted for Tehenauin, i believe
Armor buffs like Metalstorm can turn witch elves into a terrifying frontline assault unit, and sisters of slaughter into an absolute beastly tank unit
Imagine Belegar's lovely band of etheral heros! 75% phys resist is balanced by the fact they have 0 armor.
Now you can get em armor with items and that trait!
Is the Surtha Ek beating Settra or vice versa traits worth it? I find chariots to be really disappointing but the traits seem huge on paper.
Not really. Chariots are kinda meh. Except Chariot Master Tomb Princes. Holy hell they're good on a chariot
John McManus You definitely called it sir. Worked hard to get both only to realize the traits were more easter egg in variety, not so much in the useful. Granted Settra getting that massive raise to the unit cap is ok for spam stacks but otherwise my time was uttery wasted.
Possibly on lower difficulty ratings it could be useful, but I'm not sure

Kinda disappointed that you didn’t put in tik taq to, I know from watching your videos and live-streams how frustrating it is to see an enemy army run away or be unable to take a settlement because not enough movement range.
