I went up to that same place today....looked around a good bit....then BOOM....Best Master Marble Brushed Patch ever. I will have on the upload later. That place is still producing good things,.
That deep purple swirl was gorgeous! That green swirl was really awesome as well. The little bird clip thing was cool. Looks like you're in a good spot. 💖💯

If the horse shoe is "extra-large" that probably belonged to a Draft horse---one of the big work horses that pulled plows, sledges, etc. for working on the farm. The newest marbles and the frame are just GORGEOUS! Another one done, congrats. 😄💖

ahhaha. Yea he gets mad. But then it is all ok when he gets a peanut. He has already had a few through the night. I went to bed early yesterday and woke up at 2 am. Squirrel man was out running around at 3 am. eating peanuts and watching Star Trek
Yea. I think most of them that were in the ground....are busted. There is something about the glass on these. It is WEAK. And is prone to surface cracking and damage. I think from even play they were more prone to crack. I dont think i have ever found one that is REALLY nice condition. They all have some kind of flaw
I didnt think oxen were given shoes? I think the bifurcated hoof they had didnt require shoes? It made them superior for pulling because they had better traction in the mud. But you could not ride them like a horse. That horse shoe was from a giant horse like a clydesdale. I could be wrong but pretty sure
Well yea. But you have to limit exposure to a place like that. It is TOXIC. And it is in a wet environment. The place (city) it is in. Is an EPA Super Site. High Rates of cancer. Birth Defects. Stuff like that. That is why.....I only go a few times. Then not for a long time. And I try and not get wet. Which is hard. There is INVISIBLE DEATH in that place. No life at all in that stream. No tadpoles. No animal tracks.....no nothing. I also know people who have dug marbles there over time....with no gloves or protection on their feet. and EVERY one of them developed cancer. Some are dead. So,,,,,,,,take this into consideration. When you are digging for anything like this....in a place where things are dumped. There is probably other stuff dumped there too. And it may make you sick. Take precautions so you DO NOT

The duck shaped clothespin thing was to fasten baby blankets down to keep the babies warm. They would clip them to the sheets.

That was a huge horse that shoe was on. But not a ox shoe, they have a split hoof.
Yea....whatever that was on it was big...LOL. It was a good bit heavier than a normal horse shoe.
