oh my gosh!!! I love carl!! he is the cutest sweetest pup alive!! I MUST have a puppy that looks just like him lol. But also his cute funny personality... the howling when Cole started was so adorable... and his squeaking!!
My husband and I foster dogs. (Which I know Carl isn’t a foster dog.) but going to new places can really stress them out and sometimes they like being confined to smaller areas to adjust. So we keep them in a smaller area for about 3 days and then they are usually happy! Just a tip we’ve learned from our rescue dogs! 😊 Edit: also play calming music. We have learned that when they are super nervous, dogs like cello music (or just play “dog music” from pandora!!) ❤️
Also something they can do is play their daughter's favorite movie/TV show constantly for the dog. So it makes the dog realize that this is their new home. That an also bring any toys and dog bed and your dirty clothes and any smells from your old house into that one room with a TV show/movies your daughter loves. An designated dog room or make it in your room wherever the dog likes to sleep the most normally. If it's with you then pick up the dog taking him into your bedroom. An give Carl his own little special corner it's safe bring all of his favorite thing in to that space. Also the floors feel different to their paws, and it's very echoey. So a larger house means that it's going to echo more and that sometimes harder for them to gain a sense of comfort. Only because it's so loud for a dog. (Please forgive any spelling or grammar mistakes. I have dyslexia. An I am not the greatest speller in the world I am not the greatest with grammar.)

Try picking him up and walking him around the house a couple times first holding him about two times, and then on a leash 2-4 times. It worked for my dog.
The Kettle Twins they are vests that cover a dog tightly. It helps them cope cause it makes them feel like their in a cave and helps them cope with stress.

Put Carl in the middle of a room and tell him to sit...if he stays,give him a treat,and then put him back in his spot...Continue this until you can successfully tell him to come to you!!As for him not moving,try to keep him moving when you can...if he wont move,pick him up and sit him in the middle of the room and then run around!!Showing energy toward a dog can make them happy,and put their mind at ease...If Carl seems tired,put him in the middle of a room once he is asleep,or let him sleep with you,allowing him to sleep comfortably will allow him to rest his mind!!! Hope you can use these tricks!!Love yall!!!

Put Carl in the middle of a room and tell him to sit...if he stays,give him a treat,and then put him back in his spot...Continue this until you can successfully tell him to come to you!!As for him not moving,try to keep him moving when you can...if he wont move,pick him up and sit him in the middle of the room and then run around!!Showing energy toward a dog can make them happy,and put their mind at ease...If Carl seems tired,put him in the middle of a room once he is asleep,or let him sleep with you,allowing him to sleep comfortably will allow him to rest his mind!!!
