FAR = Total area of all floors*100/Area of the plot The area in the numerator is the ‘Built up area’. Floor Space Index is just FAR denoted as a number instead of a percentage. They are essentially synonyms. Apart from FAR/FSI, government also defines Setback, Ground coverage, Parking space and Height restrictions. You have to keep these in mind while constructing something. The population density of a place starts increasing when FAR/FSI increases. It is important that infrastructure keeps pace with the population otherwise living conditions may deteriorate.

Apne plot ki boundary ke andar balconies ho sakti hain side wale plots ki. Middle plot ki boundary mein encroach nahin kar sakte.
