Could you please explain how the $300 overage on rental car preauthorizatuon worked? So the credit triggered for $300 more than you were actually charged. Did the $300 appear as a statement credit on your USBAR account? Were you able to cash it out, or did you just charge against it?
A statement credit for $516 appeared on my account when I used real time rewards. Later, the provisional charge from enterprise of $516 dropped off, and a new charge of $216 appeared on my account. Thus, affectively I redeemed real time rewards at 1.5 cents each for $300 more than I actually spent. Does that help?

And yes, I had enough spending on the card that it just offset other things.
