Love this island its not as big and busy and noisy as city manhattan but the views and proximity to manhattan and Queens is just perfect thanks for the update
Dude!!! I don’t know how I can thank you for that video!!! I love this place so much, and I miss NYC!! I hope to be there so soon as I can! I really appreciate it! Thank you!!!
Another highly enjoyable walking tour, AK. Riding the slide was cool. You met some new fans. You took us over the bridge and right round the island. So cool!
Thank you for making these videos. It looks like it takes a lot of work, but good exercise for you! I really enjoy watching them, especially now that I no longer live in NY. They help me revisit places I loved.
You were so nice to those adorable kids! Funny, in 2016 I was staying at the Q4Hotel in Queens and I did the same walk except I started at Roosevelt Island.
Ur nice man, im sure soon or later im gonna watch most of ur videos in a row. For now im just happy to know there is someone like you doing this amazing thing :)
A good trick question is this...where in Manhattan is Main Street located ? Answer.. On .Roosevelt Island ( as you correctly stated below, is technically located in Manhattan).
Thanks so much for sharing. I've been planning to play tennis or walk around or bike Roose island. Now I see the nets are up and playable. Hoping to see more of my home city that I'm a tourist to, lol. All my best!
Thank you. Oops, why is the lighthouse temporarily closed? when will it reopen? I did not find any info on the web about the closure. And that 'temporarily" on the notice is spelled wrong, funny!!
Great video actionkid105...On Tuesdays, FDR 4 Freedoms Park is closed to the public...it would have been nice to show that ...maybe next time. I like the way you slid down the slide in Rainey Park, Astoria... The Cornell Tech Campus looks awesome, with still more construction in the works. The Smallpox Hospital looks eerily unwelcoming, especially at night. Overall, wonderful video.
I grew up across the river in Astoria at the Astoria housing projects, and any chance I could get to come to Roosevelt Island I would. one day I convinced my mom to take a ride with me there (at the time I was a BMX rider) and once we got there and saw it she fell in love with the place. We would go on weekends as our weekend getaway and have a few bites of homemade sandwiches. I'm talking 1980's and I still want to live there but now it's gotten so expensive ughhhhhhhh
A very enjoyable video. I did feel sad that the only people that you interacted with, were those kids, with their ugly 'gang signs.' They should have been edited out. Also, I think that it would have been good if @ 25:00, you crossed the street and filmed FDNY's specialist vehicles?
Phew, that was a close one at 51:42! Ah, those kids!!! (hey, 37K already, actionkid105!) Thx, great footage, had several freeze-frames! But did you park your bike at Costco?

Hello from Berlin, Germany. I love your walks.
We were at the bentley Hotel and had the view on this great and peacful place, thank you for making me live again that moment!
GREAT walk. Thanks for sharing. It always blows my mind how compact but still BIG the city is. -Henry
Thanks for taking us along! I really liked the views out across the river. And the slide! Wow I did not expect that!
I like when you walk along the water treating us to some sunset.
I liked seeing the moon in the distance as he was headed northbound.
You really should be sponsored by footwear companies the amount of walking you do 👍👍
hi actionkid! ... great route! ... this island is beautiful and in summer even more! ... this route I have to do on my next trip! 💝 I loved it! 👏👏👏👏👌👍
Another highly enjoyable walking tour, AK. Riding the slide was cool. You met some new fans. You took us over the bridge and right round the island. So cool!
This was very nice, longer than what Im used to seeing for your videos and that made this more fun to watch, and very quiet!
Wonderful day, amazing views, incredible walk. What envy! By the way, the slide scene, very good.. I would have done it too.. 😝
I Love that Island ( old Walfare and now Roosevelt )and the tram.

Thx Actionkid, always wanted to know what Roosevelt Island looks like! Lol, actionkid being a kid!
I was here with you on your bike. So glad youve done this walking tour here. Very interesting. Seems like it would be good place to live.

I hate seeing the trees with no leaves,I’m wishing spring comes early.
Thanks so much for sharing. I've been planning to play tennis or walk around or bike Roose island. Now I see the nets are up and playable. Hoping to see more of my home city that I'm a tourist to, lol. All my best!

I don’t know why it was closed either.

It’s very quiet so far, except for the menacing wind.
Very nice 🙂
I really like your videos. Queens seems like a good place to live in New York, right?
26:04 Me And My Shadow ! 👻 !
Phew, that was a close one at 51:42! Ah, those kids!!! (hey, 37K already, actionkid105!) Thx, great footage, had several freeze-frames! But did you park your bike at Costco?
Yes I parked my bike at Costco
How about a tour of some supermarket, with there price and averything..don't know about the rules of recording inside..
I can try but each supermarket has different rules about recording inside.
You must be doubling down on those rotisserie chickens from Costco. I can only eat a half a day but then again I'm not walking a NY winter.
Watched loads of your vids and just wondered during this one why you decided to call the channel ActionKid rather than ActionWalker?
Hello actionkid105... All of that and a trip down a sliding board too. How about that!
Hey that’s me in the hoodie saying rip x
Cool!
i"m surprised to see a suburban-style costco that close to the river.
SUPER !!!
Weird. It almost looks like a ghost town.
I was wondering can you do a video of just people
Why the lighthouse was close
I don’t know why it’s closed either.
Nice
Why so empty?
Not too many people come out in the cold weather.
action kid met kids lol
